AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Optical components with a laminated optical function layer on a curved lens surface face the risk of layer separation due to adhesion issues.

Method used

An optical laminate comprising a polarizing film sandwiched between first and second resin layers, with each resin layer having low and high molecular weight layers, and adhesive layers to enhance bonding strength, particularly using polycarbonate and urethane adhesives, to prevent layer separation.

Benefits of technology

The laminate effectively prevents unintended separation of layers even when curved, ensuring durability and maintaining optical functionality.

Abstract

To provide an optical laminate used by being bent in one direction, in which inadvertent separation of any layer can be prevented.SOLUTION: An optical laminate 10 according to the present invention is used by being bent in one direction, and comprises: a polarization film 4; a first resin layer 2 provided on a bent recess side of the polarization film 4 and including mainly polycarbonate; a second resin layer 3 provided on a bent recess side of the polarization film 4 and including mainly polycarbonate; a first adhesive layer 5 provided between the polarization film 4 and the first resin layer 2, for adhering these; and a second adhesive layer 6 provided between the polarization film 4 and the second first resin layer 3, for adhering these. The first resin layer 2 includes a first low molecular weight layer 21 being in contact with the first adhesive layer 5 and a first high molecular weight layer 22 located on the side reverse from the first adhesive layer 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
