Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a quick correction device having a connecting rod for a timepiece movement provided with a display mechanism.
[0002] The present invention also relates to a timepiece movement provided with such a correction device.
[0003] The present invention relates to the field of timepieces, and more particularly to timepieces provided with a display mechanism.
Background Art
[0004] The present invention relates to a timepiece that requires a device for quickly correcting a specific function (day, day of the week, month, etc.), particularly a display function such as a day (simple, annual, perpetual calendar, day of the week / day, etc.) or moon age, tide level, AM / PM display, or other display, or other displays. Specific examples of annual day mechanisms are described in European Patent No. 1666991 held by ETA SA.
[0005] To correct the month, the user usually has to make the correction via the day. In the worst case, this correction can be a long and tedious process. The correction may require a 30-day correction. Similarly, if the user makes a mistake during the correction, the operation has to be repeated. The use of a day correction device can lead to excessive use and possibly malfunction.
[0006] To operate the display wheel, the correction device often has a lever, which is an essential component in the timepiece mechanism and enables the mechanism to be switched between several different modes, usually two specific positions. One of the positions actuates the rotation of the display wheel. The timepiece lever often has a return spring that ensures, in some cases, that the movement is accurately transmitted or positioned.
[0007] The correction device generally consists of a series of one or more components and is actuated from the winding reel.
[0008] However, such correction devices occupy space within the movement and often require numerous components, especially when the indicator wheel is far from the winding stem.
[0009] A common alternative is to use buttons integrated into the watch case. However, this alternative is often relatively expensive and can lead to problems related to the water resistance of the watch case. [Prior art documents] [Patent Documents]
[0010] [Patent Document 1] European Patent No. 1666991 [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]
[0011] The present invention aims to improve upon the aforementioned shortcomings of the prior art and to enable users to make rapid modifications to the display mechanism, and more specifically, to the display mechanism. [Means for solving the problem]
[0012] For this purpose, the present invention relates to a device for modifying an indication provided by a display mechanism for a timekeeping movement, wherein the timekeeping movement is equipped with a display mechanism comprising a display wheel having a pipe, and the operation of the display wheel makes it possible to change the indication of the display.
[0013] The correction device is noteworthy in that it comprises an articulated joint that is movable around a pivot axis, the articulated joint is equipped with a connecting rod, the connecting rod being movable between two positions, namely, a correction position in which the articulated joint engages with the indicator wheel and rotates the indicator wheel in steps, and a locked position in which the articulated joint is detached from the indicator wheel.
[0014] Therefore, this modification device provides a new type of configuration, particularly through the use of connecting rods, which incorporates innovative components.
[0015] This invention ensures that the correction device takes up minimal space and is easy to integrate into the timekeeping movement, because the correction device has fewer components while functioning efficiently.

[0017] According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the clasp is also movable around the pivot axis.
[0018] According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the goby has a beak portion which is at least partially inserted into a tooth portion on a marker wheel and is configured to rotate the tooth portion when the joint portion is in the correct position.
[0019] According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the correction device comprises a cam movable body, which engages with a connecting rod such that when the cam movable body is actuated, it pushes the cam movable body from a locked position to a corrected position.
[0020] According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the cam movable body has teeth configured to contact a beak portion located at the second end of the connecting rod.
[0021] According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the correction device includes a jumper spring that applies a return force to the connecting rod in order to return the connecting rod from the corrected position to the locked position.
[0022] According to a particular embodiment of the present invention, the correction device includes a jumper that positions the indicator vehicle when it is not actuated by a movable joint and prevents the indicator vehicle from rotating in the event of an impact, the jumper being inserted into teeth on the indicator vehicle and designed to position the indicator vehicle.
[0023] According to a specific embodiment of the present invention, the correction device includes a connecting rod spring, and the connecting rod spring applies a restoring force to the connecting rod and the engagement member to keep the connecting rod and the engagement member separated from the display wheel at the locking position.
[0024] According to a specific embodiment of the present invention, the correction device extends substantially in the same plane.
[0025] According to a specific embodiment of the present invention, the display mechanism is a lunar age display or a day display or a day-of-week display or a month display or a tide ebb and flow display or a time zone display.
[0026] The present invention also relates to a timepiece movement comprising such a correction device.
[0027] Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention
[0029] The present invention relates to the field of timepiece mechanisms, and more particularly to the control and transmission mechanisms of a movement. The present invention is preferentially applicable to the correction and update of a display mechanism in a timepiece movement of a timepiece.
[0030] The present invention relates, more particularly, to a device 1 for correcting an indication provided by a display mechanism within a timekeeping movement. Preferably, the correction device 1 extends substantially within the same plane.
[0031] In Figures 1 to 4, the display mechanism includes a display wheel 2 having a pipe 19. A needle (not shown) is fitted onto the pipe 19, for example, to display the day. The display wheel 2 includes peripheral teeth 17 that allow the display wheel 2 to rotate.
[0032] The indicator vehicle 2 is mechanically attached to the needle, and the indication of the display can be changed by the operation of the indicator vehicle 2.
[0033] Preferably, this change is made in stages. Thus, while the display wheel 2 rotates one notch at a time, the display changes one unit at a time.
[0034] The correction device 1 includes a jumper 18 that positions the display vehicle 2 when it is not activated and prevents the display vehicle 2 from rotating in the event of an impact.
[0035] The jumper 5 is angled at its first end 18 and rotatably fitted around a pivot shaft located at its second end. The pivot shaft is formed, for example, by a Bloom stud, pin, or shoulder screw. The jumper 5 is provided with a hole 13 for the pivot shaft.
[0036] The correction device 1 includes a jumper spring 6 configured to hold the jumper 5 against the indicator wheel 2. In this example, the jumper spring 6 is a curved vane having a first end, the first end pressing the jumper 5 so that the jumper 5 presses against the indicator wheel 2. The second end of the vane is joined to a heel portion 9, the heel portion 9 having a fastening portion 24, the fastening portion 24 being able to be fitted to a plate or rod on the timekeeping movement, in particular by one or more broom studs and / or one or more screws.
[0037] To operate the indicator vehicle 2, the correction device 1 includes a movable joint 10 that engages with the indicator vehicle 2 and rotates it.
[0038] According to the present invention, the joint portion 10 includes a connecting rod 3, and the connecting rod 3 is movable between two positions, namely, a correction position in which the joint portion 10 engages with the indicator wheel 2 and rotates the indicator wheel 2, and a locking position in which the joint portion 10 is separated from the indicator wheel 2.
[0039] In the locked position, the joint 10 cannot rotate the indicator wheel 2, and therefore the wheel does not rotate.
[0040] In this example, the connecting rod 3 has an elongated, for example, rectangular body, which is equipped with two bloom studs 14, 15, one at each end and positioned on one side of the connecting rod 3.
[0041] The joint 10 is equipped with a fastener 8, which is rotatably fitted onto the bloom stud 15 at the first end of the connecting rod 3 so that the fastener 8 can rotate around the bloom stud 15.
[0042] The clasp 8 is preferably rotatably fitted around a pivot axis that is fixed to a plate of the movement. For this purpose, the clasp 8 has two holes, the first hole for a bloom stud 15 and the second hole 12 for a pivot axis around which the clasp 8 can rotate. The pivot axis is formed, for example, by a bloom stud or a shouldered screw and is inserted into the second hole 12.
[0043] The goby 8 also has a beak portion 16, which can be inserted into the teeth portion 17 on the indicator wheel 2 so as to rotate the indicator wheel 2. The beak portion rotates toward the indicator wheel 2.
[0044] As the connecting rod 3 moves from the locked position to the correction position, the connecting rod 3 moves substantially linearly, or even in a straight line. The clasp 8 is pushed by the connecting rod 3 and rotates both around the bloom stud 15 on the connecting rod 3 and preferably around a pivot axis fixed to the timekeeping movement. Thus, when the connecting rod 3 is in the correction position, the beak portion 16 on the clasp 8 is lowered to engage with the teeth 17 on the indicator wheel 2, causing the indicator wheel 2 to rotate.
[0045] To move the connecting rod 3, the correction device 1 includes a cam movable body 4, which engages with the connecting rod 3 so as to push the connecting rod 3 from a locked position to a correction position when the cam movable body 4 is actuated. The cam movable body 4 is equipped with teeth 21, which are configured to be able to contact a beak portion 22 located at the second end of the connecting rod 3. The cam movable body 4 (does this imply an assembly?) is rotatably positioned at the rear of the connecting rod 3.
[0046] The correction device 1 includes a connecting rod spring 7 that applies a return force to the connecting rod 10 in order to return the connecting rod 3 from the correction position to the locking position. The connecting rod spring 7 also includes a flexible curved vane joined at one end to the second heel portion 11, which presses against the bloom stud 14 on the inside of the correction rod 3, pushing the connecting rod 10 toward the second locking position. The second heel portion 11 includes a fastening portion 23 that assembles the second heel portion 11 to the movement.
[0047] The bloom stud 14 can also be used to guide the connecting rod 3, and the bloom stud 14 is movable in, for example, a slot in a further plate (not shown).
[0048] For example, correction device 1 is incorporated into the timekeeping movement 10 to correct the date display. The correction is performed by the user using a winding stem (not shown).
[0049] The intermediate adjustment wheel 25 is moved to a specific position (generally an intermediate position within the mechanism of three positions) by direct or indirect longitudinal movement of the winding stem, thereby engaging with the non-sliding assembly 29 and activating the cam movable body 4.
[0050] Rotating the winding stem clockwise rotates the intermediate adjustment wheel 25 counterclockwise, the non-sliding assembly 29 clockwise, and the cam movable body 4 counterclockwise. In this way, the cam movable body 4 acts to move the connecting rod 3 and the clasp 8 relative to the indicator wheel 2 in accordance with the method described above. In this manner, the indicator wheel 2 is adjusted in multiple stages each time the teeth on the cam movable body press against the connecting rod 3.
[0051] Naturally, the modification devices according to the present invention are not limited to the embodiments described above, and those skilled in the art can consider various simple modifications and variations without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
