Claims

1. A heat-resistant agent for asphalt containing lignin as an active ingredient.

2. The heat resistance imparterant according to claim 1, wherein the lignin is one or more selected from Kraft lignin, lignin sulfonic acid or a salt thereof, dealkalized lignin, and glycol-modified lignin.

3. The heat resistance imparting agent according to claim 1 or 2, used such that the amount of lignin added per 100 parts by mass of asphalt is 1 part by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less.

4. A method for imparting heat resistance to asphalt, characterized by incorporating lignin into the asphalt.

5. The method according to 4, characterized in that the lignin is one or more selected from Kraft lignin, lignin sulfonic acid or a salt thereof, dealkalized lignin, and glycol-modified lignin.

6. The method according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the lignin is contained in an amount of 1 to 10 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of asphalt.

7. An asphalt composition containing asphalt and lignin.

8. The asphalt composition according to claim 7, wherein the lignin is one or more selected from kraft lignin, lignin sulfonic acid or a salt thereof, dealkalized lignin, and glycol-modified lignin.

9. The asphalt composition according to claim 7 or 8, which contains 1 to 10 parts by mass of lignin per 100 parts by mass of asphalt.
