Abstract

The present invention provides a video display device that can be miniaturized and allows for clear and realistic viewing of the displayed object even in brightly lit environments. [Solution] The video output device includes a display and a half-mirror provided on the surface side of the display, wherein the image displayed on the display and the reflected image reflected by the half-mirror are visible to an observer viewing from the half-mirror side, and the video output device is positioned at an angle so that the reflected image of the observer reflected by the half-mirror is not visible to the observer. Furthermore, it includes a pair of sides positioned opposite each other so as to sandwich the video output device, and the ends of the pair of sides on the half-mirror side define an open end from which the observer can view the image from the outside. Furthermore, it includes a base, and the video output device and the pair of sides may be positioned perpendicular to the base.

Claims

1. An image output device comprising a display and a half-mirror provided on the surface side of the display, wherein the image displayed on the display and the reflected image reflected by the half-mirror are visible to an observer viewing from the half-mirror side, An image display device in which the image output device is positioned at an angle such that the reflected image of the observer, reflected by the half-mirror, cannot be seen by the observer.

2. The video display device according to claim 1, which includes a pair of sides arranged opposite to each other so as to sandwich the video output device, wherein the ends of the pair of sides on the half-mirror side define an open end from which the observer observes the video from the outside.

3. Furthermore, including the base, The video display device according to claim 2, wherein the video output device and the pair of sides are arranged perpendicular to the base.

4. The image display device according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the pair of sides are arranged parallel to each other.

5. The video display device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the normal of the video output device does not intersect with the observer.

6. The side view reflected in the half-mirror is visible to the observer, as described in claim 2 or 3.

7. The video output device is selected from liquid crystal display (LCD) or organic EL display (OLED) according to any one of claims 1 to 3.

8. The video output device is a flat plate, as described in any one of claims 1 to 3.

9. The video display device according to claim 1, wherein an observation area is defined for the observer to observe the video.
