Abstract

An aqueous personal care rinse-off formulation comprising a dermatologically acceptable vehicle, a dermatologically acceptable cleansing surfactant, and a gradient polymer comprising 5 to 35% by weight of structural units of (meth)acrylic acid, 35 to 65% by weight of structural units of C 1~8 alkyl (meth)acrylate, and > 10 to 30% by weight of a special associative monomer having structural unit I of the structure: [Chemical Formula 1] JPEG2026521927000038.jpg29170 wherein R 1 is a linear saturated C 12~26 alkyl group, wherein R 2 is hydrogen or a methyl group, and n is from 10 to 30, and a special associative monomer, and 0.01 to 2% by weight of a polyethylenically unsaturated monomer of the structural unit, and a gradient polymer, the gradient polymer comprising < 0.05% by weight of a sulfonated monomer of the structural unit, and the polymer comprising < 0.02% by weight of a monomer of the structural unit having structure II [Chemical Formula 2] JPEG2026521927000039.jpg38170 wherein R 3 is H or -CH3, R 4 is -H or -C 1~4 alkyl group, R 5 is -C 1~4 alkyl group, a is from 0 to 50, b is from 0 to 20, c is from 0 to 50, a + c is from 1 to 100, d is from 1 to 4, and the gradient polymer has a gradient polymer form, and an aqueous personal care rinse-off formulation is provided.
