[0022] To further clarify the object, technical configuration, and advantages of the present invention, each embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that each embodiment of the present invention proposes many technical details to help the reader better understand the present invention. However, the technical solutions according to the present invention can be realized without these technical details and the various modifications and changes based on the following embodiments.

[0023] Referring to the drawings, a technical aspect of the present invention provides imaging optical lenses 10, 20, 30, and 40. Figures 1, 5, 9, and 13 show the imaging optical lenses 10, 20, 30, and 40 of the present invention, respectively, and these imaging optical lenses 10, 20, 30, and 40 comprise a total of five lenses. Specifically, the imaging optical lenses, in order from the object side to the image side, are aperture S1, first lens L1, second lens L2, third lens L3, fourth lens L4, and fifth lens L5. An optical element such as an optical filter GF may be provided between the fifth lens L5 and the image plane Si.

[0024] The first lens L1 has a positive refractive power, the second lens L2 has a positive refractive power, the third lens L3 has a negative refractive power, the fourth lens L4 has a positive refractive power, and the fifth lens L5 has a negative refractive power. In other embodiments, each lens may have a different refractive power.

[0025] The first lens L1 is made of plastic, the second lens L2 is made of plastic, the third lens L3 is made of plastic, the fourth lens L4 is made of plastic, and the fifth lens L5 is made of plastic. Each lens may be made of other materials.

[0026] The on-axial thickness of the first lens L1 is defined as d1, and the total optical length of the imaging optical lens is defined as TTL, satisfying the relationship 0.12 ≤ d1 / TTL ≤ 0.20. This relationship specifies the value of the ratio of the on-axial thickness of the first lens L1 to the total optical length. Within the range of this relationship, it is useful for controlling the thickness of the first lens L1, is convenient for injection molding, and helps in light focusing, thus ensuring a wide-angle design.

[0027] The central radius of curvature of the object side of the second lens L2 is R3, and the central radius of curvature of the image side is R4, satisfying the relationship 5.00 ≤ R3 / R4 ≤ 15.00. This relationship defines the shape of the second lens L2, and within the range of this relationship, the degree of deflection of light rays passing through the lens is mitigated, effectively correcting chromatic aberration so that chromatic aberration |LC| ≤ 2.0 μm.

[0028] The central radius of curvature of the object side of the third lens L3 is R5, and the central radius of curvature of its image side is R6, satisfying the relationship -1.30 ≤ (R5 + R6) / (R5 - R6) ≤ -1.00. This relationship defines the shape of the third lens L3 and helps correct astigmatism and distortion of the imaging optical lens, resulting in distortion |Distortion| ≤ 2.5%, which reduces the possibility of vignetting.

[0029] When the above relationships are satisfied, the imaging optical lenses 10, 20, 30, and 40 have good optical performance and can meet the design requirements for large aperture, wide angle, and ultra-thin design. Due to the characteristics of these imaging optical lenses 10, 20, 30, and 40, they are particularly suitable for imaging lens units for mobile phones and imaging lenses for the web, which are composed of image sensors such as CCDs and CMOS sensors for high pixel counts.

[0030] Based on the above conditional formula and feasible functions, the characteristics of each lens can be further detailed as follows:

[0031] The focal length of the first lens L1 is f1, and the focal length of the imaging optical lens is f, satisfying the relationship 1.00 ≤ f1 / f ≤ 1.35. This relationship defines the ratio of the focal length of the first lens L1 to the focal length of the imaging optical lens. By appropriately distributing the optical focal length of the imaging optical lens within the range of this relationship, the imaging optical lens has good image quality and low sensitivity.

[0032] The on-axial thickness of the fourth lens L4 is d7, and the on-axial thickness of the fifth lens L5 is d9, satisfying the relationship 0.70 ≤ d7 / d9 ≤ 2.00. This relationship defines the ratio of the on-axial thickness of the fourth lens L4 to the on-axial thickness of the fifth lens L5. Within the range of this relationship, it contributes to compressing the overall length of the imaging optical lens, as well as controlling the thickness of the first lens L1, thereby facilitating injection molding.

[0033] The total image height of the imaging optical lens is IH, the field of view in the diagonal direction is FOV, and the object side diameter of the first lens is D, satisfying the relationship (H × FOV) / D ≤ 166.66°. By controlling the total image height and field of view, the front aperture can be effectively controlled.

[0034] The on-axial thickness of the second lens L2 is d3, and the on-axial distance from the image side of the second lens L2 to the object side of the third lens L3 is d4, satisfying the relationship 3.00 ≤ d3 / d4 ≤ 20.00. This relationship defines the value of the ratio of the on-axial thickness of the second lens L2 to the air gap between the second lens L2 and the third lens L3, and contributes to the lens processing and assembly within the range of this relationship.

[0035] The object side of the first lens L1 is convex near the axis, and the image side is also convex near the axis. The object side and image side of the first lens L1 may have other concave / convex distributions.

[0036] By defining R1 as the central radius of curvature of the object side of the first lens L1 and R2 as the central radius of curvature of the image side of the first lens L1, and satisfying the relationship -1.70 ≤ (R1 + R2) / (R1 - R2) ≤ -0.51, the first lens L1 can effectively correct system spherical aberration by appropriately controlling the shape of the first lens L1. Preferably, -1.06 ≤ (R1 + R2) / (R1 - R2) ≤ -0.64 is satisfied.

[0037] The object surface of the second lens L2 is concave near the axis, and the image surface is convex near the axis. The object surface of the second lens L2 may also have other concave / convex distributions.

[0038] The focal length of the second lens L2 is f2, and it satisfies the relationship 0.51 ≤ f2 / f ≤ 1.73, defining the value of the ratio of the focal length f2 of the second lens L2 to the focal length f of the image optical lens 10. By controlling the positive focal power of the second lens L2 within this range to a reasonable extent, it is advantageous for correcting aberrations of the imaging optical lens. Preferably, 0.82 ≤ f2 / f ≤ 1.38 is satisfied.

[0039] The imaging optical lens satisfies the relationship 0.57 ≤ (R3 + R4) / (R3 - R4) ≤ 2.10, which defines the shape of the second lens L2. Within this range, it is advantageous for correcting axial chromatic aberration problems as the lens becomes thinner and wider-angle. Preferably, 0.91 ≤ (R3 + R4) / (R3 - R4) ≤ 1.68 is satisfied.

[0040] The on-axial thickness of the second lens L2 is d3, and it satisfies the relationship 0.04 ≤ d3 / TTL ≤ 0.21, which is advantageous for ultra-thinning. Preferably, 0.06 ≤ d3 / TTL ≤ 0.17 is satisfied.

[0041] The object side of the third lens L3 is concave near the axis, and the image side is convex near the axis. The object side and image side of the third lens L3 may have other concave / convex distributions.

[0042] The focal length of the third lens L3 is defined as f3, and the relationship -1.46 ≤ f3 / f ≤ -0.42 is satisfied. This relationship specifies the ratio of the focal length of the third lens L3 to the focal length f of the imaging optical lens. By appropriately distributing the focal length of the imaging optical lens within the range of this relationship, the imaging optical lens has better image quality and lower sensitivity. Preferably, -0.91 ≤ f3 / f ≤ -0.53 is satisfied.

[0043] The on-axial thickness of the third lens L3 is d5, and the relationship 0.02 ≤ d5 / TTL ≤ 0.08 is satisfied, which is advantageous for ultra-thinning within the range of the relationship. Preferably, 0.04 ≤ d5 / TTL ≤ 0.07 is satisfied.

[0044] The object side of the fourth lens L4 is concave or convex near the axis, and the image side is convex near the axis. The image side of the fourth lens L4 may have other concave or convex distributions.

[0045] The focal length of the fourth lens L4 is f4, satisfying the relationship 0.26 ≤ f4 / f ≤ 0.84. Through a rational distribution of focal power, the system exhibits better image quality and lower sensitivity. Preferably, 0.41 ≤ f4 / f ≤ 0.67 is satisfied.

[0046] The central radius of curvature of the image side of the fourth lens L4 is R7, and the central radius of curvature of the image side of the fourth lens L4 is R8, satisfying the relationship 0.47 ≤ (R7 + R8) / (R7 - R8) ≤ 1.74, which defines the shape of the fourth lens L4. Within this range, it is advantageous for correcting the problem of off-axis angle of view aberrations as ultra-thin wide-angle lenses develop. Preferably, 0.76 ≤ (R7 + R8) / (R7 - R8) ≤ 1.39 is satisfied.

[0047] The on-axial thickness of the fourth lens L4 is d7, and it satisfies the relationship 0.07 ≤ d7 / TTL ≤ 0.28, which is advantageous for ultra-thinning within the range of the relationship. Preferably, 0.11 ≤ d7 / TTL ≤ 0.23 is satisfied.

[0048] The object side of the fifth lens L5 is convex near the axis, and the image side is concave near the axis. The object side and image side of the fifth lens L5 may have other concave / convex distributions.

[0049] The focal length of the fifth lens L5 is f5, satisfying the relationship -1.12 ≤ f5 / f ≤ -0.35. Limiting the fifth lens L5 is effective in smoothing the ray angle of the imaging optical lens and reducing tolerance sensitivity. Preferably, -0.70 ≤ f5 / f ≤ -0.43 is satisfied.

[0050] The central radius of curvature of the object side of the fifth lens L5 is R9, and the central radius of curvature of the image side of the fifth lens L5 is R10, and the relationship 0.52 ≤ (R9 + R10) / (R9 - R10) ≤ 2.07 is satisfied, defining the shape of the fifth lens L5. Within this range, it is advantageous for correcting the problem of off-axis angle of view aberrations as ultra-thin wide-angle lenses develop. Preferably, 0.83 ≤ (R9 + R10) / (R9 - R10) ≤ 1.66 is satisfied.

[0051] The on-axial thickness of the fifth lens L5 is d9, and the relationship 0.05 ≤ d9 / TTL ≤ 0.29 is satisfied, which is advantageous for ultra-thinning within the range of the relationship. Preferably, 0.08 ≤ d9 / TTL ≤ 0.23 is satisfied.

[0052] The maximum image height of the aforementioned imaging optical lens is IH, and it satisfies the relationship TTL / IH ≤ 1.554, which is advantageous for miniaturization within the range of this relationship.

[0053] The imaging optical lens has a field of view (FOV) of 89.00° or more, enabling wide-angle imaging.

[0054] The aperture value FNO of the aforementioned imaging optical lens is 2.3 or less, achieving a large aperture and good imaging performance of the imaging optical lens.

[0055] The imaging optical lenses of the present invention will be described below using practical examples. The reference numerals used in each example are as follows.
