[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a stop indicator. [Background technology]

[0002] Stop indicators are known that are placed on the road near vehicles such as automobiles that are stopped on the road to notify them that the vehicles are stopped on the road. The stop indicator has legs and a triangular frame part erected on the legs, and the legs and the triangular frame part are each configured to be foldable so that the stop indicator can be stored compactly when not in use (for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2002-72935 A [Patent Document 2] Patent No. 6257699 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] To provide a stop indicator that is required to be stably installed on the road so as not to fall over, to have high wind resistance so as not to be knocked over by the wind, and to be folded compactly so as to be stored in the trunk of a car or the like without requiring a large space when not in use.

[0005] In view of the above background, an object of the present invention is to provide a stop indicator that can be stably installed on the road, is not easily knocked over by wind, and can be folded up compactly when not in use. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] In one embodiment of the present invention to solve the above problem, a triangular stop indicator (10) includes a first base member (12) that is linear and extends horizontally, a triangular display portion (14) that is erected on an upper surface of the first base member, a second base member (30) that is linear and extends horizontally and includes a central portion that is rotatably connected to the central portion of the first base member about a vertical axis so as to be rotatable between a storage position that extends in the same direction as the extension direction of the first base member and a use position that extends in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the first base member, and a second base member (30) that overlaps with the first base member. The first base member has a pair of first leg members (34) including base ends (35) rotatably connected to both ends of the first base member about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the first base member so as to be rotatable between a storage position where the first base member overlaps with the first base member and a usage position where the first base member hangs down from the first base member, and a pair of second leg members (42) including base ends (43) rotatably connected to both ends of the second base member about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the second base member so as to be rotatable between a storage position where the second base member overlaps with the second base member and a usage position where the second base member protrudes outward from the end of the second base member.

[0007] According to this aspect, the stop indicator is stably installed on the road so as not to fall over, is not easily knocked over by the wind, and can be folded up compactly when not in use.

[0008] In the above aspect, each second leg member may have a linear main portion (42A) including the base end portion, and a grounding portion (42B) connected to the free end side of the main portion in a flexibly bendable manner relative to the main portion.

[0009] According to this embodiment, the ground contact portion of each second leg member can have any angle with respect to the main portion in accordance with the slope of the road surface, etc., thereby improving the stability of the stop indicator on the road when in use.

[0010] In the above embodiment, each grounding portion may be provided with a first grounding sheet (44) made of an elastomeric material.

[0011] According to this aspect, the stability of the stop indicator on the road when in use is further improved.

[0012] In the above embodiment, a second grounding sheet (46) made of an elastomer material may be provided on the surface of each of the second leg members that faces downward in the storage position.

[0013] According to this embodiment, when the stop indicator is installed on the road with the second leg member in the stored position, the stability of the stop indicator on the road is further improved.

[0014] In the above aspect, the second base member may be constituted by a rod-shaped member having a rectangular cross-sectional shape, and each second leg member may have a groove-shaped cross-sectional shape that receives the second base member when in the storage position.

[0015] According to this embodiment, even if the second leg member has a groove-shaped cross-sectional shape to improve rigidity, the second base member does not become bulky in the storage position.

[0016] In the above aspect, the second base member has a long hole (48) that is long in the extension direction of the second base member, the second leg member has an axis portion (40) that rotatably and slidably engages with the long hole, and each second leg member that overlaps with the second base member by sliding in the extension direction of the second base member may have the base end portion slidable in the extension direction of the second base member.

[0017] According to this embodiment, the second leg member is stored compactly.

[0018] In the above embodiment, the first leg members and the second leg members may be stored so as to be stacked one on top of the other when in their respective stored positions.

[0019] According to this embodiment, the first leg member and the second leg member are stored compactly.

[0020] In the above-mentioned aspect, the device may further include a base member (16) fixed to the first base member and forming the base of the triangular display portion, and a pair of oblique side members (24) including base ends (23) rotatably connected to both ends of the base member around a horizontal axis perpendicular to the first base member, so as to be rotatable between a stored position in which they overlap each other front to back on the base member and an expanded position in which they form both oblique sides of the triangular display portion.

[0021] According to this embodiment, the triangular display portion can be stored compactly. Effect of the Invention

[0022] According to the above aspect, the stop indicator can be stably installed on the road, is not easily knocked over by the wind, and can be folded up compactly when not in use. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Figure 11] FIG. 11 is a perspective view showing a state in which a stop indicator according to a third embodiment is used; DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0024] (Embodiment 1) A stop indicator according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0025] The stop indicator 10 has a first base member 12. The first base member 12 has a linear, in other words, band-shaped main portion 12A extending horizontally in the left-right direction, and short pieces 12B hanging down at right angles from left and right end portions 12D of the main portion 12A. The first base member 12 and each of the members constituting the stop indicator 10 described below may be resin molded products.

[0026] A triangular display portion 14 is erected on the upper part of the main portion 12A of the first base member 12. The triangular display portion 14 has a base member 16 that is fixed to the upper surface of the main portion 12A and extends in the left-right direction to form the base of the triangular display portion 14, and a pair of left and right oblique side members 22, 24 at both ends of the base member 16, each of which includes base ends 23, 25 that are connected by pin-shaped shaft portions 18, 20 to be rotatable about a horizontal axis that extends in the front-rear direction perpendicular to the main portion 12A.

[0027] The base member 16 and the left and right oblique members 22, 24 each have strip-shaped light reflecting portions 16A, 22A, 24A forming each side of the triangular display portion 14, and fluorescent portions 16B, 22B, 22B extending along the inner sides of the light reflecting portions 16A, 22A, 24A. The left oblique member 24 is disposed in front of the base member 16. The right oblique member 26 is disposed in rear of the base member 16.

[0028] As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the oblique side members 22, 24 each extend horizontally in the same direction as the base member 16 around the central axis of the shaft portions 18, 20 relative to the base member 16, and are capable of rotating between a stored position in which the light reflecting portions 22A, 24A overlap each other from the front to the back and the fluorescent portions 22B, 24B overlap each other from the front to the back, sandwiching the fluorescent portion 16B of the base member 16, and an expanded position (usage position) in which they form the left and right oblique sides of the triangular display portion 14 and cooperate with the base member 16 to form an equilateral triangular frame, as shown in Figures 1 to 3.

[0029] In other words, the oblique side members 22, 24 can be selectively positioned at either the stored position or the deployed position by rotating the shafts 18, 20 about the central axis relative to the base member 16.

[0030] Oblique side member 24 has locking piece 27 formed to protrude in a louver shape from fluorescent part 24B. As shown in Fig. 2, oblique side members 22, 24 maintain the above-mentioned expanded position by locking piece 27 releasably abutting on the inner edge of fluorescent part 22B in the expanded position.

[0031] A second base member 30 is provided below the main portion 12A of the first base member 12. The second base member 30 is formed of a rod-shaped member having a rectangular cross-sectional shape, in other words, a rectangular box-shaped cross-sectional shape, and is configured in a linear shape extending horizontally. The second base member 30 includes a longitudinal center portion 30A that is connected to the longitudinal center portion 12C of the first base member 12 by a pin-shaped shaft portion 28 so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis. In other words, the longitudinal center portions 12C and 30A of the first base member 12 and the second base member 30 are connected to each other by the vertical shaft portion 28 so as to be rotatable with each other.

[0032] The second base member 30 is rotatable about the central axis of the shaft portion 28 between a storage position in which it extends in the same direction (left-right direction) as the extension direction of the main part 12A of the first base member 12 and overlaps with the main part 12A below, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, and a use position in which it extends in the front-to-rear direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the main part 12A, as shown in Figures 1 to 3.

[0033] The first base member 12 and the second base member 30 have approximately the same length in the longitudinal direction. More specifically, the second base member 30 does not have a length in the longitudinal direction that exceeds the length of the main portion 12A so as not to protrude outward beyond the main portion 12A of the first base member 12 in the stored position described above, and has a length in the longitudinal direction that is slightly shorter than the length of the main portion 12A. This ensures the compactness of the stop indicator 10 when the second base member 30 is in the stored state.

[0034] At both longitudinal ends 12D of the main part 12A of the first base member 12, a pair of left and right first leg members 34 are provided, each including a base end 34A rotatably connected around a horizontal front-to-rear axis perpendicular to the main part 12A by a pin-shaped shaft portion 32 (see Figure 6) inside the corresponding short piece portion 12B.

[0035] Each first leg member 34 is rotatable about the central axis of the shaft portion 32 between a storage position where it overlaps with the main portion 12A of the first base member 12 below the main portion 12A as shown in Fig. 6(A) and a use position where it hangs down vertically from the end portion of the main portion 12A as shown in Fig. 6(B). In other words, each first leg member 34 is foldably provided on the corresponding end portion 12D of the first base member 12.

[0036] Each of the first leg members 34 has an engagement hole 36. As shown in Fig. 6(B), when each of the first leg members 34 is in the above-mentioned use position, the engagement hole 36 fits into a protrusion 38 formed in the short piece portion 12B, thereby maintaining the above-mentioned use position.

[0037] A pair of second leg members 42 are provided at both longitudinal ends 30B of the second base member 30. As shown in the partially enlarged view of Fig. 3, each second leg member 42 includes a base end 42A that is rotatably connected to the second base member 30 around a horizontal axis perpendicular to the second base member 30 by a pin-shaped shaft portion 40 that engages with a bearing hole 31 provided in the corresponding end 30B of the second base member 30. In other words, each second leg member 42 is provided to the corresponding end 30B of the second base member 30 in a foldable manner.

[0038] Each second leg member 42 is rotatable about the central axis of the shaft portion 40 between a storage position in which it overlaps with the second base member 30, sandwiching the first leg member 34 in the storage position, below the second base member 30, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, and a use position in which it protrudes outward from the corresponding end portion 30B of the second base member 30, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

[0039] As shown in the partially enlarged view of Fig. 3, the second leg member 42 is held in the use position by the end face of the base end 42A of the second leg member 42 abutting against the end face of the end 30B of the second base member 30. This allows the second leg member 42 to repeatedly be maintained in the use position inclined diagonally downward and outward from the end 30B of the second base member 30. This stopper structure is also provided on the end 30B on the right side of the second base member 30 as viewed in Fig. 3. This allows the pair of left and right second leg members 42 as viewed in Fig. 3 to repeatedly be maintained in the use positions that are symmetrical to each other.

[0040] 4, the first leg members 34 and the second leg members 42 in the storage position are vertically stacked on top of each other below the second base member 30. That is, when the first leg members 34 and the second leg members 42 are in their respective storage positions, they are stored below the second base member 30 so as to be vertically stacked on top of each other.

[0041] Each second leg member 42 has a linear main portion 42B including a base end portion 42A, and a grounding portion 42C connected to the free end of the main portion 42B with flexibility so as to be bendable. The main portion 42B has a groove-shaped cross section with a bottom wall 43A and side walls 43B (see FIG. 5) rising from both side edges of the bottom wall 43A, and receives the second base member 30 inside the groove in the storage position. Since each second leg member 42 has a groove-shaped cross section, bending and torsional rigidity is improved compared to when it is flat, and it is possible to make the second leg member 42 thinner and extend the leg length while ensuring the required strength. In addition, since each second leg member 42 receives the second base member 30 in the storage position, it does not become bulky in the storage state even though the second leg member 42 has a groove-shaped cross section.

[0042] 3, the longitudinal length and the like of each second leg member 42 are set so that the vertical lengths from the base end 42A to the ground contact portion 42C on the free end side are the same for each second leg member 42 in the use position. As a result, the second base member 30 extends in the lateral direction parallel to the ground contact surfaces of the first base member 12 and each second leg member 42 when each second leg member 42 is in the use position.

[0043] The vertical length from the base end 34A to the grounding part 34B on the free end side of each first leg member 34 in the use position is slightly shorter than the vertical length of the second leg member 42. As a result, when the second base member 30 is not deformed, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, a gap is generated between the grounding part 34B of each first leg member 34 and the ground surface when the stop indicator 10 is in use. The second base member 30 is deflected and twisted due to the weight of the triangular display part 14, wind pressure, etc. The gap between the grounding part 34B of each first leg member 34 and the ground surface is set to be large enough to disappear due to the deflection and twisting of the second base member 30.

[0044] With this setting, the ground load of the first leg member 34 is smaller than the ground load of the second leg member 42, and the second leg member 42 bears most of the load of the triangular display unit 14. As a result, the force of wind pressure received at the ground portion 34B of the first leg member 34 is smaller than the force of wind pressure received at the ground portion 42C of the second leg member 42, making it difficult for the stop indicator 10 to skid sideways.

[0045] Each second leg member 42 has a linear main portion 42B including a base end portion 42A, and a grounding portion 42C connected to the free end of the main portion 42B with flexibility so as to be bendable relative to the main portion 42B. A first grounding sheet 44 is attached to the surface where the grounding portion 42C comes into contact with the ground. A second grounding sheet 46 is attached to the surface of each second leg member 42 that faces downward in the storage position. The first grounding sheet 44 and the second grounding sheet 46 may be sheet-like and made of an elastomer material having suitable elasticity to conform to the shape of the grounding surface and a large surface friction coefficient, preferably a foam of an elastomer material such as EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber).

[0046] In the use position, the mutual separation distance (span) of the pair of second leg members 42 becomes longer from the base end portion 43 toward the ground contact portion 42C, and reaches a maximum value L at the ground contact portion 42C. With this configuration, even if the longitudinal lengths of the first base member 12 and the second base member 30 are the same, the maximum value L of the mutual separation distance of the ground contact portions 42C of the pair of second leg members 42 becomes longer than the longitudinal lengths of the first base member 12 and the second base member 30.

[0047] As a result, when the stop indicator 10 is in use as shown in Figures 1 and 2, it can be installed stably and less likely to fall over on the road than if the pair of second leg members 42 were not present, and it is more wind resistant and less likely to be knocked over by wind.

[0048] The stop indicator 10 is susceptible to wind in the front-to-rear direction with the triangular display portion 14 facing forward when in use. In response to this, the stop indicator 10 effectively improves wind resistance by expanding the front-to-rear separation distance of the ground contact portion 42C of the stop indicator 10 by the pair of second leg members 42 located at the front and rear when in use. In addition, the first ground contact sheet 44 is attached to the ground contact portion 42C, improving the stability of the stop indicator 10 installed on the road when in use.

[0049] Furthermore, since the ground contact portion 42C of each second leg member 42 is connected to the main portion 42B with flexibility so that it can be bent, it can have any angle with respect to the main portion 42B in accordance with the slope of the road surface, etc. This also improves the stability of the stop indicator 10 installed on the road when in use. The ground contact portion 42C is bent with respect to the main portion 42B so as to extend in the same direction as the main portion 42B in the stored position, which also improves storage properties.

[0050] The stop indicator 10 can be used by being installed on the road, even in a stored state in which the pair of second leg members 42 are folded. In this usage state, each second leg member 42 is grounded on the road via the second grounding sheet 46. This improves the stability of the stop indicator 10 installed on the road, even in this usage state.

[0051] The stop indicator 10 in a stored state with the pair of second leg members 42 folded is suitable for use on flat road surfaces, etc., and provides good stability when installed on the road. In contrast, as shown in Figures 1 to 3, the stop indicator 10 in a state in which the pair of second leg members 42 are extended is suitable for use on rough ground, etc.

[0052] The pair of first leg members 34 and the pair of second leg members 42 are folded so as to overlap each other vertically and also so as to overlap vertically on the second base member 30, so that the compactness of the stop indicator 10 when not in use is not hindered even though the first leg members 34 and the second leg members 42 are provided.

[0053] (Embodiment 2) A stop indicator 10 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 7 to 10. In Figures 7 to 10, parts corresponding to those in Figures 1 to 6 are given the same reference numerals as those in Figures 1 to 6, and descriptions thereof will be omitted. Each member constituting the stop indicator may be a resin molded product.

[0054] In the second embodiment, the second base member 30 has guide recesses 48 that open to both side surfaces (left side surface and right side surface as viewed in FIG. 7) on both sides (front side and rear side as viewed in FIG. 7) of the central portion 30A. The base end portion 42A of each second leg member 42 includes a piece having inner surfaces facing each other on both side surfaces of the second base member 30, and each piece has a sliding protrusion 50 that engages with the corresponding guide recess 48.

[0055] The guide recess 48 and the sliding protrusion 50 will be described in detail with reference to FIG.

[0056] The guide recess 48 extends in the extension direction of the second base member 30 and has a straight guide portion 48A that forms the majority of the guide recess 48, a rotating inclined guide portion 48B that is formed at the end of the straight guide portion 48A on the end 30B side of the second base member 30 and includes a downward extension portion, a rotating inclined guide portion 48B that includes a portion that extends diagonally downward from the end on the end 30B side, and a locking recess 48C that includes a portion that extends diagonally upward from near the end on the end 30B side, which are all continuous with each other.

[0057] The sliding protrusion 50 has an approximately rectangular sliding guide portion 50A that slidably engages with the linear guide portion 48A in the extension direction to guide the longitudinal movement of the second leg member 42 relative to the second base member 30, and an engaging protrusion 50B that is capable of entering the engaging recess 48C.

[0058] As shown in Fig. 9(A), the sliding protrusion 50 slides in the longitudinal direction of the linear guide section 48A, and moves to the end side of the linear guide section 48A. As shown in Fig. 9(B), the second leg member 42 at the end of the linear guide section 48A rotates obliquely downward relative to the second base member 30, causing the sliding protrusion 50B to fall into the rotating inclined guide section 48B. As shown in Fig. 9(C), the second leg member 42 moves obliquely upward relative to the second base member 30, causing the locking protrusion 50B to enter the locking recess 48C. As the locking protrusion 50B enters the locking recess 48C, the second leg member 42 is locked in the use position where it extends obliquely downward relative to the second base member 30.

[0059] An operation of a user moving the second leg member 42 from the stored position to the use position will be described with reference to FIGS. 10(A) to 10(C).

[0060] As shown in Figure 10 (A), from a state in which each second leg member 42 is in a stored position overlapping on the upper side of the second base member 30, each second leg member 42 is slid toward the end 30B of the second base member 30 along the extension direction of the second base member 30, and each second leg member 42 is pulled out toward the end side of the second base member 30 as shown in Figure 10 (B).

[0061] When the withdrawal is completed, as shown in Fig. 10(C), each second leg member 42 is rotated downward with respect to the second base member 30, and then moved obliquely upward. As a result, each second leg member 42 is fixed in the use position in the locked state shown in Fig. 10(C). Also in the second embodiment, the maximum value L of the separation distance between the ground contact portions 42C of a pair of second leg members 42 is longer than the length of the second base member 30 in the longitudinal direction.

[0062] As a result, like the stop indicator 10 of embodiment 1, the stop indicator 10 of embodiment 2 can be installed stably on the road and less likely to fall over compared to a case in which the pair of second leg members 42 is not provided, and has high wind resistance and is less likely to be knocked over by wind. The pair of second leg members 42 are stored in the second base member 30 so that they overlap one on top of the other, so even if the second leg members 42 are provided, the compactness of the stop indicator 10 of embodiment 2 when not in use is not impaired.

[0063] In the second embodiment, the second grounding sheets 46 are attached to the undersides of the ends of the second base member 30. When the stop indicator 10 is used with the second leg members 42 stored, the second grounding sheets 46 come into contact with the road.

[0064] (Embodiment 3) A stop indicator 10 according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 11. In Fig. 11, parts corresponding to those in Fig. 7 are given the same reference numerals as those in Fig. 7, and descriptions thereof will be omitted. Each member constituting the stop indicator may be a resin molded product.

[0065] In the third embodiment, a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped ground contact member 52 is attached to the ground contact portion (free end) 42C of each second leg member 42 so as to be foldable and storable. A guide recess 54 is formed on each of the left and right side surfaces of the ground contact member 52. A sliding protrusion 56 that engages with the guide recess 54 is formed on the ground contact portion 42C.

[0066] The guide recess 54 and the sliding protrusion 56 have substantially the same shape and structure as the guide recess 48 and the sliding protrusion 50 of embodiment 2. As a result, each second leg member 42 is movable between a use position in which it is parallel to the second base member 30 and extends outward in the front-rear direction from the ground contact portion 42C of the second leg member 42, and a storage position in which it is moved in a direction along the longitudinal direction of the second leg member 42, as shown in FIG.

[0067] As a result, the maximum span of the front and rear grounding points of the stop indicator 10 is further expanded by the front and rear grounding members 52 in the use position, making the stop indicator 10 even less likely to tip over forward or backward.

[0068] In addition, a first ground sheet 44 may be attached to the bottom surface of each ground member 52.

[0069] Although the description of the specific embodiment is finished above, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment or modified example, and can be widely modified. For example, the stopper structure of the second leg member 42 of the first embodiment is not limited to the structure shown in the partially enlarged view of Fig. 3, and may be, for example, a structure using a stopper pin or the like. The structure of the triangular display unit 14 is not limited to that of the embodiment, and various conventionally known structures can be used. [Explanation of symbols]
