Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an adapter used as a fishing accessory, particularly an adapter used for locking supplies to a fishing reel.

[0002] Generally, fishermen need fishing gear such as fishing rods, reels, fishing lines, fishing hooks, lures, or bait to catch fish. These fishing gears are assembled before starting fishing activities at a fishing spot such as a boat, the shore, a pier, or a wharf. With the fishing line wound around the spool of the reel, the reel is attached to the fishing rod. With the fishing hook attached to the tip of the fishing line, a lure or bait is attached to the fishing hook to attract fish.

[0003] When it is necessary to install the fishing gear at a fixed position at the fishing spot, a safety line is secured between the fishing rod and / or the reel and the desired anchor spot to prevent loss of the fishing gear, particularly loss of the fishing rod and the reel. Problems to be Solved by the Invention

Flexible fishing tackle includes fishing lines, strings, ropes, chains, and straps. These flexible fishing tackles usually hold the terminal fishing tackle at their ends. The terminal fishing tackle can be a hook, a ring, or a clip. Since flexible fishing tackle is easily damaged and broken, the terminal fishing tackle attached to the flexible fishing tackle is likely to be lost. In addition, flexible fishing tackle may become entangled or intertwined with other fishing tackle such as fishing rods. Furthermore, since the end of the flexible fishing tackle with the terminal fishing tackle attached thereto hangs down and is not locked in place, the flexible fishing tackle and the terminal fishing tackle are likely to be damaged easily.

[0005] Currently, as an approach to solve such problems, there is a method of using the holes of a reel clamp or the holes of a rod clamp to attach flexible fishing tackle or terminal fishing tackle. The flexible fishing tackle is tied to the holes of the reel clamp or the rod clamp. Also, the terminal fishing tackle is locked to the hole by hooking around the hole or surrounding the hole. However, since the bodies of the reel clamp and the rod clamp are thick, it is difficult to attach the fishing tackle to the above holes. Since an additional accessory such as a ring needs to be locked around the hole, the fishing tackle is locked by using an additional accessory with a thinner thickness instead. The additional accessory functions as a link for attaching the fishing tackle to the hole of the reel clamp or the hole of the rod clamp. To attach multiple fishing tackles to the holes of the reel clamp or the rod clamp, multiple additional accessories may be required. However, if there are no unused holes for attaching flexible fishing tackle, terminal fishing tackle, or a combination thereof, the holes of the reel clamp or the rod clamp cannot be used.

[0006] The main object of the present invention is to provide an adapter used as a fishing accessory for locking supplies to a fishing reel, and an adapter kit including this adapter. Another object of the present invention is to provide an adapter that is detachably attached to a protruding element of a fishing reel such as a bolt. With this adapter, existing elements of the fishing reel can be used to attach supplies, particularly fishing supplies, to the reel. On the other hand, an adapter kit including a mounting element including a male-female fastener is intended to lock supplies, particularly fishing supplies, to a fishing reel without using existing elements of the fishing reel. The use of the adapter kit is suitable when there is no appropriate protruding element on the fishing reel for attaching the adapter to the reel. According to the present invention, supplies such as flexible fishing gear in the form of strings, fishing lines, straps, chains, and ropes are locked to the adapter. Terminal fishing gear such as hooks, rings, and clips are engaged with the adapter. Thereby, problems such as loss of fishing supplies, entanglement of fishing supplies, particularly entanglement of flexible fishing gear, and damage to fishing supplies can be solved. Also, due to the thick outer circumference of the hole of the fishing reel, an additional accessory such as a ring for attaching fishing supplies is required in the hole of the fishing reel. However, with this adapter, the hole of the fishing reel for locking supplies becomes unnecessary. Such a function of the adapter realizes the object of the present invention of providing convenience of supplies and easy attachment of supplies, and the object of the present invention of preventing damage to supplies. Also, ensuring the safety in use of the adapter and the adapter kit is also an object of the present invention.

Means for Solving the Problems

As a fishing accessory, the adapter 100 is detachably attached to any protruding element of the fishing reel 300 as a male fastener 201. The adapter 100 can be fastened to the protruding member using a fastening assembly. Further, in the present invention, an adapter kit including the adapter 100 and the fastening assembly is introduced. The article may be any article such as a name tag, a key holder, and an electronic article, but is preferably a fishing article. It should be understood that the phrase "fishing article" includes fishing tools and gears used in fishing activities by fishermen. The phrase "fishing article" is not limited to flexible fishing tools in the form of elongated shapes such as fishing lines, straps, strings, cords, cables, ropes, and bands. The phrase "fishing article" is not limited to end fishing tools attached to the ends of flexible fishing tools such as hooks, clips, and rings. An example of a flexible fishing tool includes a strap of a fishing harness and a safety line for connecting various fishing tools or installing fishing tools at a fixed position in a fishing ground.

[0021] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the adapter 100 includes a plate having a first opening 101 for receiving the male fastener 201 of the fastening assembly attached to the fishing reel 300, and a second opening 102 configured to receive supplies. The washer 203 is sandwiched between the adapter 100 and the primary female fastener 202. The secondary female fastener 204 is arranged adjacent to the primary female fastener 202. The secondary female fastener 204 is configured to surround the end of the male fastener 201 in consideration of appearance. Also, the secondary female fastener 204 is configured to prevent the exposure of the male fastener 201 that could cause injury or damage to other supplies.

[0029] In order to facilitate the disassembly and assembly of the adapter 100 and the female fasteners 202, 204 around the male fastener 201, a screw-type fastener is preferably used. The screw-type fastener includes a male fastener 201 having a thread on the outer surface and female fasteners 202, 204 having a thread on the inner surface. When the screw-type male fastener 201 is used, the shape and dimensions of the inner circumference of the first opening 101 need to correspond to the thread of the male fastener 201 in order to engage the adapter 100 with the male fastener 201. It should be understood that the fastening assembly is not limited to screw-type fasteners, and non-screw-type fasteners can also be used. For example, the male fastener 201 includes bolts, screws, studs, bosses, and pins. Nuts are used as the female fasteners 202, 204. The washer 203 is preferably a spring washer.

Claims

1. An adapter for locking supplies to a fishing reel, comprising: a plate having a first opening for receiving a male fastener of a fastening assembly attachable to the fishing reel, a second opening configured to receive the supply, and a pair of stoppers provided to contact a leg portion of the fishing reel. The adapter comprising the above.

2. The adapter according to claim 1, wherein the adapter is attached to the leg portion of the fishing reel. The adapter according to claim 1.

3. The pair of stoppers are formed together with the plate on both sides of the plate, and protrude in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the plate so as to contact the leg portion of the fishing reel. The adapter according to claim 1.

4. The plate is divided into a mounting portion formed together with the first opening and a receiving portion formed together with the second opening, wherein the receiving portion is inclined at a predetermined angle from the mounting portion. The adapter according to claim 1.

5. The supply includes any one of a fishing line, a strap, a string, a chain, a rope, a hook, a ring, and a clip, or a combination of the fishing line, the strap, the string, the chain, the rope, the hook, the ring, and the clip. The adapter according to claim 1.

6. An adapter kit for locking supplies to a fishing reel, comprising: an adapter having a plate including a first opening, a second opening configured to receive the supply, and a pair of stoppers provided to contact a leg portion of the fishing reel; and a fastening assembly having a male fastener inserted into the first opening of the plate for attaching the adapter to the fishing reel. The adapter kit comprising the above.

The fastening assembly further includes: any one of a primary female fastener for locking the plate to the male fastener, a washer disposed between the primary female fastener and the plate, and a secondary female fastener disposed adjacent to the primary female fastener and configured to surround an end portion of the male fastener, or a combination of the primary female fastener, the washer, and the secondary female fastener. The adapter kit according to claim 6.

The fastening assembly further includes: Any one of a first primary female fastener, a first washer disposed between the first primary female fastener and a first surface of the plate, a second washer disposed on another surface of the plate, a second primary female fastener disposed adjacent to the second washer, and a secondary female fastener configured to surround an end portion of the male fastener, or further comprising a combination of the first primary female fastener, the first washer, the second washer, the second primary female fastener, and the secondary female fastener The adapter kit according to claim 6.

9. The pair of stoppers are formed together with the plate on both sides of the plate and protrude in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the plate so as to contact the leg portion of the fishing reel to which the adapter is attached. The adapter kit according to claim 6.

10. The plate is divided into a mounting portion formed together with the first opening and a receiving portion formed together with the second opening. The receiving portion is inclined at a predetermined angle from the mounting portion. The adapter kit according to claim 6.

11. The article includes any one of a fishing line, a strap, a string, a chain, a rope, a hook, a ring, and a clip, or a combination of the fishing line, the strap, the string, the chain, the rope, the hook, the ring, and the clip. The adapter kit according to claim 6.
