Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an absorbent pad that is detachably fixed to a holder worn around the waist of a wearer and used.

Background Art

[0002] As a type of absorbent article such as a disposable diaper, it includes an absorbent pad that absorbs and retains body fluids such as urine, and a holder that is annularly worn around the waist of the wearer and holds the absorbent pad disposed in the crotch portion of the wearer. A separate type in which the absorbent pad is configured to be detachable from the holder is known. In conventional separate-type absorbent articles, as described in Patent Documents 1 to 3, a pad-side fastening structure that can be attached to and detached from a fastening structure (holder-side fastening structure) of the holder is provided in an end region in the longitudinal direction (the direction corresponding to the front-rear direction of the wearer) of the absorbent pad. In the end region in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent pad described in Patent Documents 1 and 3, one pad-side fastening structure having a rectangular shape in plan view is arranged with its longitudinal direction aligned with the lateral direction (the direction corresponding to the left-right direction of the wearer). In the end region in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent pad described in Patent Document 2, four pad-side fastening structures having a square shape in plan view are intermittently arranged in both the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] When a wearer wearing a separate-type absorbent article moves, such as standing up or sitting down, the holder worn around the wearer's waist may bend or fold along with the movement of the wearer's body. When the holder in the worn state is deformed in this way, an excessive load is applied to the pad-side fastening structure of the absorbent pad fixed to the holder via the pad-side fastening structure, and the absorbent pad may peel off from the holder. No technology has yet been provided that can solve the problems related to the fastening structure peculiar to such separate-type absorbent articles.

[0005] Therefore, an object of the present invention relates to providing an absorbent pad that is detachably fixed to a holder and is difficult to peel off from the holder even when the wearer moves.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0006] The present invention includes a surface sheet located on the side closer to the wearer's skin in the worn state, a back sheet located on the side farther from the wearer's skin, and an absorber located between both sheets, and has a longitudinal direction corresponding to the front-rear direction passing through the wearer's crotch and a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and is an absorbent pad that is detachably fixed to a holder that is annularly worn around the wearer's waist and used. One embodiment of the absorbent pad of the present invention has a pad-side fastening structure capable of attaching and detaching from the holder in an end region in the longitudinal direction. In one embodiment of the absorbent pad of the present invention, the pad-side fastening structure extends in the lateral direction and is intermittently arranged in plurality in the longitudinal direction. Other features, effects, and embodiments of the present invention will be described below.

Effects of the Invention

[0007] According to the absorbent pad of the present invention, it is difficult to peel off from the holder even when the wearer moves during wearing in a state of being detachably fixed to the holder, and it can be used with confidence for a long time.

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0009] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings based on its preferred embodiments. In the following description of the drawings, the same or similar parts are denoted by the same or similar reference numerals. The drawings are basically schematic, and the ratios of the respective dimensions etc. may be different from the actual ones.

[0010] In FIGS. 1 to 4, an absorbent pad 1 which is an embodiment of the absorbent pad of the present invention is shown. Further, in FIG. 5, as an example of the use of the absorbent pad of the present invention, a disposable diaper 10 (hereinafter also referred to as "diaper 10") including the absorbent pad 1 and a holder 11 for holding the absorbent pad 1 on a wearer is shown. The diaper 10 is an embodiment of an absorbent article of the present invention, that is, an absorbent article including the absorbent pad of the present invention and a holder to which the absorbent pad can be attached. As shown in FIG. 5, the diaper 10 is such that the absorbent pad 1 and the holder 11 are joined via a pad-side fastening structure 8 and a holder-side fastening structure 14, and has a waist opening WH of the holder 11 and a pair of leg openings LH, LH defined by the lower end portion in the height direction HD of the holder 11 and both side edge portions along the longitudinal direction (longitudinal direction X described later) of the absorbent pad 1. Note that the holder 11 is not a component of the absorbent pad 1.

[0011] Since the diaper 10, which is a separate-type absorbent article, allows the absorbent pad 1 and the holder 11 to be detachably joined via the fastening structures 8 and 14, the environmental load is reduced as compared with conventional non-separate-type absorbent articles. That is, when a conventional non-separate-type absorbent article in which the portion corresponding to the wearer's waist (the portion corresponding to the holder) and the portion corresponding to the wearer's crotch (the portion corresponding to the absorbent pad) are integrally inseparable is discarded after use, the portion corresponding to the holder has to be discarded together with the portion corresponding to the absorbent pad soiled with excrement even if it is not soiled. However, in the case of the diaper 10, since the holder 11 can be left as it is and only the absorbent pad 1 can be replaced with a new one, the amount of waste discarded and the amount of carbon dioxide emissions are reduced as compared with non-separate-type absorbent articles, and it is possible to contribute to the reduction of the environmental load. In addition, during the wearing of the diaper 10, since the absorbent pad 1 is detachably fixed to the holder 11, the operation of replacing the absorbent pad 1 with a new one is simple, and the diaper 10 has a significantly reduced load in the replacement operation compared to conventional non-separable type absorbent articles.

[0012] The absorbent pad 1 is detachably fixed to and used with a holder 11 that is annularly worn around the wearer's waist. Here, the holder 11 will be briefly described with reference to FIG. 5. The holder 11 is annularly worn around the wearer's waist and holds the absorbent pad 1 in a state of being worn by the wearer, and has a height direction HD along the wearer's height direction and a circumferential direction CD along the body circumference direction. The holder 11 has a ventral part 11F arranged on the ventral side (front side) of the wearer and a dorsal part 11R arranged on the dorsal side (rear side) of the wearer, and includes a holder main body part 12 that forms the main body of the holder 11. The holder main body part 12 is mainly composed of a sheet-like member such as a non-woven fabric, and typically includes a laminated structure of an outer layer sheet forming the non-skin-facing surface (outer surface) of the holder main body part 12 and an inner layer sheet forming the skin-facing surface (inner surface) of the holder main body part 12. The holder 11 forms an annulus by joining both longitudinal ends of the holder main body parts 12 of the ventral part 11F and the dorsal part 11R respectively by known joining means such as fusion bonding and adhesive, and has a pair of joining parts S, S between the ventral part 11F and the dorsal part 11R and a waist opening WH. The joining part S corresponds to the side seal part in a general non-separable type pant diaper. Elastic members 13 that are stretchable in a direction orthogonal to the height direction HD are arranged at a plurality of intervals in the height direction HD on the holder main body parts 12 of the ventral part 11F and the dorsal part 11R respectively, whereby the holder 11 has elasticity in the circumferential direction CD. A holder-side fastening structure 14 is arranged on the non-skin-facing surface (outer surface) of the holder main body part 12, and by fastening the pad-side fastening structure 8 of the absorbent pad 1 to the holder-side fastening structure 14, the absorbent pad 1 can be detachably fastened to the holder 11. Since the holder 11 does not contain an absorber for absorbing and retaining moisture, if a washable member is used as a component of the holder main body 12, it can be washed and reused. The fact that the holder 11 is washable leads to a reduction in the amount of waste discarded and carbon dioxide emissions, and can contribute to reducing the environmental load. Note that the holder 11 is merely one embodiment of a holder to which the absorbent pad of the present invention can be applied. A holder to which the absorbent pad of the present invention can be applied only needs to have a holder-side fastening structure that can be fastened to the pad-side fastening structure of the absorbent pad, and is not limited to the holder 11. For example, a holder to which the absorbent pad of the present invention can be applied may be annular when worn on the body, may be annular in advance like the holder 11, or may be in the form of a strip that is long in one direction before being worn on the body, and the one end portion and the other end portion in the longitudinal direction are engaged to form an annular shape when worn.

[0013] In this specification, the "skin-facing surface" refers to the surface of a wearable article such as an absorbent article, a holder, an absorbent pad, or a component thereof (for example, the absorber of the absorbent pad) that faces the wearer's skin side in the worn state of the wearable article, and the "non-skin-facing surface" refers to the surface of the wearable article or a component thereof that faces the side opposite to the skin side in the worn state of the wearable article.

[0014] Hereinafter, the absorbent pad 1 will be described in detail. The absorbent pad 1 includes a front surface sheet 3 located on the side closer to the wearer's skin in the worn state, a back surface sheet 4 located on the side farther from the wearer's skin, and an absorber 5 located between both sheets 3 and 4, and has a longitudinal direction X and a lateral direction Y orthogonal thereto. The longitudinal direction X of the absorbent pad 1 corresponds to the front-rear direction passing through the wearer's crotch and also corresponds to the height direction HD of the holder 11, and the lateral direction Y of the absorbent pad 1 corresponds to the circumferential direction CD of the holder 11.

[0015] As shown in FIG. 2, the absorbent pad 1 has a crotch portion M disposed in the crotch area of the wearer, a ventral portion F disposed on the ventral (front) side of the wearer relative to the crotch portion M, and a dorsal portion R disposed on the dorsal (rear) side of the wearer relative to the crotch portion M. The crotch portion M is located at the central portion of the absorbent pad 1 in the longitudinal direction X and includes a discharge portion facing portion (not shown) that faces the discharge portion such as the penis of the wearer during wearing. As shown in FIG. 5, when the absorbent pad 1 is properly fastened to the holder 11, the ventral portion F of the absorbent pad 1 includes a portion overlapping with the ventral portion 11F of the holder 11, and the dorsal portion R of the absorbent pad 1 includes a portion overlapping with the dorsal portion 11R of the holder 11, but the crotch portion M of the absorbent pad 1 does not overlap with the holder 11. In the present embodiment, the absorbent pad 1 has a rectangular shape in plan view and is symmetrically formed on one side and the other side with respect to the horizontal center line CLy in the developed and maximum extended state as shown in FIG. 2. The horizontal center line CLy is a virtual straight line that bisects the absorbent pad 1 in the horizontal direction Y and extends in the longitudinal direction X in the developed and maximum extended state as shown in FIG. 2.

[0016] In this specification, the "developed and maximum extended state" means a state in which a wearing article such as an absorbent article, a holder, or an absorbent pad is spread out flat to a developed state, and the elastic members of each part of the wearing article in the developed state are maximally extended until they reach the same dimensions as the designed dimensions, that is, the dimensions when spread out flat in a state where the influence of the elastic members is completely eliminated. In the case of an absorbent article having a side seal portion such as the joint portion S of the holder 11 described above, the absorbent article is separated at the side seal portion and spread out flat to the developed state.

[0017] In this embodiment, the absorbent pad 1 includes an absorbent body 2 containing a top sheet 3, a back sheet 4, and an absorber 5, a pair of first leakage-preventing cuffs 6, 6 disposed along both side portions along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2, and a pair of second leakage-preventing cuffs 7, 7 disposed at both end regions in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2. The first leakage-preventing cuff 6 is located in the end region in the transverse direction Y and prevents the excrement from leaking outward in the transverse direction Y, and can be referred to as a "transverse leakage-preventing cuff". The second leakage-preventing cuff 7 is located in the end region in the longitudinal direction X and prevents the excrement from leaking outward in the longitudinal direction X, and can be referred to as a "longitudinal leakage-preventing cuff". Here, the "end region in the longitudinal direction" can be the region at the end in the longitudinal direction X when the absorbent pad 1 is divided into three in the longitudinal direction X (the region other than the center in the longitudinal direction X).

[0018] The absorbent body 2 forms the main body of the absorbent pad 1 and has a function of absorbing and holding excrement such as urine. In this embodiment, the absorbent body 2 has a shape that is long in the longitudinal direction X, and its longitudinal direction coincides with the longitudinal direction X, and extends in the longitudinal direction X from the ventral side portion F to the dorsal side portion R. The top sheet 3 forms the skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 2 and can come into contact with the wearer's skin during wearing. The back sheet 4 forms the non-skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 2. The top sheet 3 is in contact with the skin-facing surface of the absorber 5 and covers the entire area thereof, and the back sheet 4 is in contact with the non-skin-facing surface of the absorber 5 and covers the entire area thereof. The absorber 5 includes an absorbent core 51 capable of absorbing and holding body fluids and a core wrap sheet 52 that covers the outer surface including the skin-facing surface and the non-skin-facing surface of the absorbent core 51. In the present invention, the absorber 5 only needs to include at least the absorbent core 51, and the core wrap sheet 52 may be absent. The plurality of members 3, 4, 5 constituting the absorbent body 2 are integrated by known joining means such as an adhesive.

[0019] As the constituent members of the absorbent body 2, those commonly used in this type of absorbent article can be used without particular limitation. As the surface sheet 3, a liquid-permeable sheet can be used. For example, there can be mentioned non-woven fabrics produced by various manufacturing methods, apertured non-woven fabrics which are non-woven fabrics having through-holes, uneven non-woven fabrics having an uneven shape provided on at least one surface of the non-woven fabric, apertured films which are resin films having through-holes, and the like. Further, the surface sheet 3 may have a single-layer structure, or may have a laminated structure in which one or more than two layers are laminated. As the back sheet 4, a liquid-impermeable or liquid-hardly-permeable or water-repellent sheet can be used. For example, there can be mentioned non-woven fabrics, resin films, laminates of a resin film and a non-woven fabric, and the like. The absorbent core 51 typically mainly comprises a water-absorbent material, and the water-absorbent material contains one or more selected from fiber materials such as wood pulp and water-absorbent polymers. The water-absorbent material may be uniformly distributed throughout the absorbent core 51, or may be unevenly distributed in a predetermined direction such as the longitudinal direction X, the lateral direction Y, or the thickness direction. The absorbent core 51 may be of a stacked type mainly composed of a fiber material, or may be of a sheet type including a fiber sheet and water-absorbent polymer particles fixed thereto. The stacked-type absorbent core can be produced, for example, using a known stacking device equipped with a stacking drum. The sheet-type absorbent core has, for example, a configuration in which water-absorbent polymer particles are interposed between two opposing fiber sheets. The core wrap sheet 52 has liquid permeability and typically comprises paper, non-woven fabric, or the like. The absorber 5 may have a recess having an opening on at least one of the skin-facing surface and the non-skin-facing surface. The recess can be, for example, a leakage-preventing groove having an opening on the skin-facing surface of the absorber 5. The absorber 5 may have a partially different density, and in that case, the relatively high-density portion can be a portion formed by a pressing process such as embossing.

[0020] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the first leakage-preventing cuff 6 includes a first leakage-preventing sheet 60 that forms the main body of the first leakage-preventing cuff 6, and a first elastic member 61 that is fixed to the first leakage-preventing sheet 60 and is stretchable in the longitudinal direction X. The first leakage-preventing sheet 60 forms a part of the skin-facing surface of the absorbent pad 1. The first leakage-preventing sheet 60 is folded back in the lateral direction Y, and the first elastic member 61 is disposed between the opposing first leakage-preventing sheets 60, 60 by this folding. The first leakage-preventing cuff 6 (the first leakage-preventing sheet 60) is continuously disposed along the side portion along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent main body 2 over substantially the entire length in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent main body 2. The first leakage-preventing cuff 6 has a standing portion 62 that stands up toward the wearer's skin when the absorbent pad 1 (diaper 10) is worn, at least in the crotch portion M. The standing portion 62 stands up toward the wearer's skin with the fixing portion 63 as the standing starting point. The standing portion 62 is a non-fixed portion of the first leakage-preventing sheet 60 with respect to other members. The fixing portion 63 is a portion where the first leakage-preventing sheet 60 is fixed to other members by known joining means such as an adhesive or heat fusion. In the illustrated form, the other member is the surface sheet 3. At both end regions in the longitudinal direction X of the first leakage-preventing cuff 6, standing inhibition portions 64, which are portions where the standing of the first leakage-preventing sheet 60 is inhibited, are formed. The standing inhibition portions 64 are formed in the ventral side portion F and the dorsal side portion R. The portion along the longitudinal direction X sandwiched between the two standing inhibition portions 64, 64 in the first leakage-preventing cuff 6 is the standing portion 62. The standing inhibition portion 64 is a portion where the portion of the first leakage-preventing sheet 60 that is in the same position as the standing portion 62 in the lateral direction Y is joined to other members such as the surface sheet 3 and / or other portions of the first leakage-preventing sheet 60 other than the standing portion 62 by known joining means such as an adhesive or heat fusion. By forming a pair of standing inhibition portions 64, 64 at both end regions in the longitudinal direction X of the first leakage-preventing cuff 6, when the absorbent pad 1 (diaper 10) is worn, the standing portion 62, which is the portion sandwiched between the two standing inhibition portions 64, 64 in the first leakage-preventing cuff 6, stands up toward the wearer's skin with the fixing portion 63 as the standing starting point due to the contraction of the first elastic member 61. Thereby, so-called lateral leakage, in which excrement such as urine excreted by the wearer leaks outward in the lateral direction Y from the absorbent pad 1, is suppressed. As the first leak-proof sheet 60, those used as the material of the leak-proof cuff in this type of absorbent article can be used without particular limitation. For example, a single-layer or multi-layer water-repellent non-woven fabric, a laminate of a resin film and a non-woven fabric, etc. can be used. Also, the number of arrangements of the first elastic member 61 is not particularly limited, and it may be one or a plurality.

[0021] In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, a leg cuff 65 is provided at the leg edge portion corresponding to the wearer's leg around in the absorbent pad 1. The leg edge portion typically includes both side edge portions along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent pad 1 in the crotch portion M. The leg cuff 65 is configured to include a first leak-proof sheet 60 that constitutes the first leak-proof cuff 6 and an elastic member 66 for forming the leg cuff. More specifically, among both side edge portions along the longitudinal direction X of the first leak-proof sheet 60, one (inner edge portion) is the above-described standing portion 62, and the other (outer edge portion) is outside the absorbent body 5 in the lateral direction Y and is fixed to another member (in this embodiment is the back the surface sheet 4). At the fixing portion of the first leak-proof sheet 60 to the other member, an elastic member 66 for forming the leg cuff that extends in the longitudinal direction X is fixed so as to be stretchable and contractible in the same direction, and the leg cuff 65 is formed. The elastic member 66 for forming the leg cuff is disposed at least at the side edge portion along the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent pad 1 in the crotch portion M. In the worn state or natural state of the absorbent pad 1, due to the contraction of the elastic member 66 for forming the leg cuff, a leg gather that is substantially continuous in the longitudinal direction X is formed at the leg edge portion.

[0022] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the second leak-proof cuff 7 includes a second leak-proof sheet 70 that forms the main body of the second leak-proof cuff 7, and a second elastic member 71 that is fixed to the second leak-proof sheet 70 and is stretchable and contractible in the lateral direction Y. The second leak-proof sheet 70 forms at least a part of the skin-facing surface of the ventral portion F or the dorsal portion R of the absorbent pad 1. As the second leak-proof sheet 70, the same one as the first leak-proof sheet 60 can be used. In the present embodiment, the configuration of the second leakage prevention cuff 7 is the same in the ventral part F and the dorsal part R. Unless otherwise specified, the description of one of the second leakage prevention cuffs 7 in the ventral part F and the dorsal part R is also appropriately applied to the other second leakage prevention cuff 7.

[0023] In the present embodiment, the second leakage prevention sheet 70 has a rectangular shape in plan view and covers substantially the entire skin-facing surface of the end region in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent body 2. As shown in FIG. 4, of both ends in the longitudinal direction X of the second leakage prevention sheet 70, the longitudinally outer end 70X1 located outward in the longitudinal direction X coincides with the longitudinal end of the absorbent body 2 on which the second leakage prevention sheet 70 is disposed (the longitudinal end on the ventral part F side or the dorsal part R side), and both ends 70Y, 70Y in the lateral direction Y of the second leakage prevention sheet 70 are in the vicinity of both ends in the lateral direction Y of the absorbent body 2 (both side edges along the longitudinal direction X). That is, in the present embodiment, the longitudinally outer end 70X1 of the second leakage prevention sheet 70 coincides with the longitudinally outer end 1X of the absorbent pad 1, and the lateral ends 70Y of the second leakage prevention sheet 70 are in the vicinity of the laterally outer ends (side edges along the longitudinal direction X) 1Y of the absorbent pad 1. Of both ends in the longitudinal direction X of the second leakage prevention sheet 70, the longitudinally inner end 70X2 located inward in the longitudinal direction X extends parallel to the lateral direction Y.

[0024] As shown in FIG. 4, the second leakage prevention sheet 70 has a fixed portion 72 (the hatched region in FIG. 4) fixed to another member and a non-fixed portion 75 not fixed to another member. The “other member” to which the second leakage prevention sheet 70 is fixed is a member disposed opposite to the second leakage prevention sheet 70, and examples thereof include the surface sheet 3, the first leakage prevention sheet 60, and the like. The second leakage prevention sheet 70 and the other member are joined by a fixing means 79 (see FIG. 3(a)). The arrangement region of the fixing means 79 is the same as that of the fixed portion 72 (the hatched region in FIG. 4). The fixing means 79 is not particularly limited, and known fixing means such as an adhesive and fusion can be used. The fixed portion 72 is the fixed portion between the second leakage prevention sheet 70 and the other member the second leak-proof sheet 70A continuous fixing portion 73 that continuously extends over the entire length in the lateral direction Y, and a discontinuous fixing portion 74 that is located inward in the longitudinal direction X than the continuous fixing portion 73, adjacent to the continuous fixing portion 73, and where the fixing portion between the second leak-proof sheet 70 and other members intermittently exists in the lateral direction Y. A non-fixing portion 75 is located between a pair of discontinuous fixing portions 74, 74 adjacent to each other in the lateral direction Y.

[0025] As shown in FIG. 4, a second elastic member 71 extending in the lateral direction Y is disposed on the end portion in the longitudinal direction X (the inner end portion in the longitudinal direction X) on the inner side in the longitudinal direction of the second leak-proof sheet 70 so as to be stretchable in the lateral direction Y. In the present embodiment, the second elastic member 71 is disposed so as to straddle a pair of discontinuous fixing portions 74, 74 and the non-fixing portion 75 therebetween in the lateral direction Y. However, in the present invention, the arrangement pattern of the second elastic member 71 is not particularly limited. For example, in the form shown in FIG. 4, the second elastic member 71 is disposed only in a region overlapping the non-fixing portion 75 in a plan view, and may not extend to a pair of discontinuous fixing portions 74, 74 on both sides in the lateral direction Y of the non-fixing portion 75. Alternatively, the discontinuous fixing portion 74 may not be disposed in a region overlapping the second elastic member 71 and its virtual extension line in a plan view (a region where the second elastic member 71 is at the same position in the longitudinal direction X). The number of arrangements of the second elastic member 71 is not particularly limited, and may be one or a plurality. In the present embodiment, the inner end portion in the longitudinal direction X of the second leak-proof sheet 70 is folded back to the side facing the wearer's skin or the side not facing the wearer's skin of the second leak-proof sheet 70, and two second elastic members 71 are disposed between the opposing second leak-proof sheets 70, 70 formed by the folding. And in the worn state or natural state of the absorbent pad 1, due to the contraction of the second elastic member 71, the non-fixing portion 75 of the second leak-proof sheet 70 stands up toward the wearer's skin side, and an internal space 76 (see FIG. 3(b)) defined by the standing non-fixing portion 75 and another member (such as the absorbent body 2) facing it, and a pocket portion 78 (see FIG. 1) having an opening 77 that opens inward in the longitudinal direction X are formed. When the absorbent pad 1 (diaper 10) is worn and excrement excreted in the crotch M of the absorbent pad 1 migrates to the ventral part F or the dorsal part R, the excrement that has migrated from the crotch M is accommodated in the internal space 76 of the pocket part 78 through the opening 77, so it does not migrate to the holder 11 to which the absorbent pad 1 is fastened. Therefore, by providing the absorbent pad 1 with the pocket part 78, the inconvenience of excrement adhering to the holder 11 is prevented, and the usable period of the holder 11 is extended.

[0026] The absorbent pad 1 has a pad-side fastening structure 8 that can be detached from and attached to the holder 11 in the end region in the longitudinal direction X. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 and the like, the pad-side fastening structure 8 is provided on the skin-facing surface (inner surface) of the absorbent pad 1.

[0027] In the present embodiment, the pad-side fastening structure 8 is fixed to the skin-facing surface of the second leak-proof sheet 70 that covers the skin-facing surface (such as the surface sheet 3) of the absorbent body 2, and is not directly fixed to the skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 2. If the absorbent pad 1 does not include the second leak-proof sheet 70 (second leak-proof cuff 7) and the pad-side fastening structure 8 is directly fixed to the skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 2, when excrement excreted in the crotch M of the absorbent pad 1 migrates to the ventral part F or the dorsal part R, there is a concern that excrement will adhere to the holder 11 and the usable period of the holder 11 will be shortened. However, in the absorbent pad 1 of the present embodiment, since the second leak-proof sheet 70 is interposed between the pad-side fastening structure 8 and the skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 2, such a concern is eliminated.

[0028] The pad-side fastening structure 8 may be any structure that can be detachably fastened to the holder-side fastening structure 14 (see FIG. 5) of the holder 11, and a known detachable fastening structure can be used without particular limitation. For example, one or both of the pad-side fastening structure 8 and the holder-side fastening structure 14 may include an adhesive part formed by applying an adhesive, and the pad-side fastening structure 8 may be detachably fastened to the holder-side fastening structure 14 through the adhesive part.

[0029] In this embodiment, a mechanical surface fastener is adopted as the fastening structure including the pad-side fastening structure 8 and the holder-side fastening structure 14. The "mechanical surface fastener" referred to here means a fastener in which a surface member (male member) having hook members (engaging members) made of hook-shaped protrusions arranged on one surface and a surface member (female member) having loop members made of pile-shaped protrusions arranged on one surface are paired. A specific example of the mechanical surface fastener is Velcro (registered trademark). Specifically, in this embodiment, the pad-side fastening structure 8 is the male member of the mechanical surface fastener, and typically has a configuration in which a large number of the hook members are arranged on the surface of a base material made of a resin film, woven fabric, non-woven fabric, or the like. The holder-side fastening structure 14 is the female member of the mechanical surface fastener, and includes a base material and a fastened region provided on the non-skin facing surface (outer surface) of the base material, to which the pad-side fastening structure 8 can be fastened.

[0030] As one of the main features of the absorbent pad 1, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the pad-side fastening structure 8 extends in the lateral direction Y and is intermittently arranged in a plurality in the longitudinal direction X. Thereby, for example, as shown in FIG. 5, when the absorbent pad 1 is worn in a state of being fixed to the holder 11 via the pad-side fastening structure 8, even if the wearer moves violently such as standing up or sitting down during the wearing, the pad-side fastening structure 8 can follow the movement of the wearer's body, so that an excessive load is less likely to be applied to the pad-side fastening structure 8, and thus, the inconvenience that the absorbent pad 1 peels off from the holder 11 during wearing is effectively prevented.

[0031] In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the pad-side fastening structure 8 includes a longitudinally outermost fastening structure 8A located at the outermost side in the longitudinal direction X and an inner fastening structure 8B located on the inner side in the longitudinal direction X with respect to the fastening structure 8A. Both fastening structures 8A and 8B are rectangular in plan view, and their longitudinal directions are aligned with the lateral direction Y, and they are continuous over substantially the entire length in the lateral direction Y excluding both end portions in the lateral direction Y of the absorbent pad 1. In this embodiment, the total lengths in the lateral direction Y of a plurality of pad-side fastening structures 8A and 8B intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction X are the same as each other. More specifically, both fastening structures 8A and 8B have the same shape and dimensions as each other in a plan view. Here, the "same" as used herein includes both the case where the total lengths to be compared are completely the same and the case where they are slightly different but substantially the same. In the latter case, for example, the absolute value of the difference from the average value of the total lengths in the lateral direction of the plurality of pad-side fastening structures is 10 preferably within 10 % of the average value. Of the two ends in the longitudinal direction X of the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A, the outer end in the longitudinal direction X is arranged at a position spaced from the outer longitudinal end 1X of the absorbent pad 1 (absorbent main body 2) by a distance L1 in the longitudinal direction X. The inner fastening structure 8B is arranged outward in the longitudinal direction X from the second elastic member 71 arranged at a position spaced from the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A by a distance L2 in the longitudinal direction X and at the non-fixed portion 75 of the second leak-proof sheet 70.

[0032] From the viewpoint of more surely achieving the operational effects due to the characteristic configuration of the pad-side fastening structure 8 described above, it is preferable to set the dimensions of each part as follows. The distance L1 (see FIG. 4) between the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A and the outer longitudinal end 1X of the absorbent pad 1 is preferably 30 mm or less, more preferably 25 mm or less. The distance L2 (see FIG. 4) between the adjacent fastening structures 8A and 8B in the longitudinal direction X is preferably 1 mm or more, more preferably 3 mm or more, and preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 40 mm or less. The present invention includes a form (see FIGS. 9 to 11) in which three or more pad-side fastening structures 8 are intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction X in one end region in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent pad. In such a form, it is also preferable to set the distance between the adjacent fastening structures in the longitudinal direction X within the above range. The length (width) W1 in the longitudinal direction X of the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A (see FIG. 4) is preferably 2 mm or more, more preferably 5 mm or more, and preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 45 mm or less. When the width W1 is not constant over the entire length in the transverse direction Y of the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A, it is preferable that the minimum width W1 is within the above range. Regarding the length (width) W2 in the longitudinal direction X of the inner fastening structure 8B, it is also preferable to set it in the same manner as the width W1.

[0033] In the present invention, it is preferable that the region between the pad-side fastening structures 8 adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction X is inelastic. In the present embodiment, it is preferable that the region between the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A and the inner fastening structure 8B is inelastic. The "elasticity" of the "inelasticity" referred to here means extends it can be stretched and when the force is released from a state where it is stretched to 150% of the original length (1.5 times the original length), it returns to a length of 110% or less of the original length. It is preferable that the region between the pad-side fastening structures 8 adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction X does not have such a property. Thereby, for example, during the wearing of the diaper 10 shown in FIG. 5, since the plurality of intermittently arranged pad-side fastening structures 8 (fastening structures 8A and 8B in the present embodiment) can more easily follow the movement of the wearer's body, the inconvenience of the absorbent pad 1 being peeled off from the holder 11 is more effectively prevented.

[0034] In the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, in a plan view of the absorbent pad 1, among a plurality of pad-side fastening structures 8 intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction X, the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A located on the outer side in the longitudinal direction X does not overlap with the absorber 5, and at least a part of the inner fastening structure 8B located on the inner side in the longitudinal direction X overlaps with the absorber 5. Generally, the absorber 5 has higher rigidity than other members of the absorbent pad 1, and the region of the absorbent pad 1 that overlaps with the absorber 5 in a plan view is a high-rigidity region with higher rigidity and lower flexibility compared to the region that does not overlap with the absorber 5 in a plan view. However, if the pad-side fastening structure 8 is arranged only in the high-rigidity region, there is a concern that the holder 11 fixed via the pad-side fastening structure 8 may peel off during wearing of the diaper 10. On the other hand, in the present embodiment, it is configured as described above, and since the absorbent pad 1 can be fixed to the holder 11 via the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A that does not overlap with the absorber 5 in a plan view, the inconvenience of the absorbent pad 1 peeling off from the holder 11 is more effectively prevented. The present invention includes a form (see FIGS. 9 to 11) in which three or more pad-side fastening structures 8 are intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction X in one end region of the absorbent pad 1 in the longitudinal direction X. In such a form, only the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A does not overlap with the absorber 5, and the other 、 inner fastening structure 8B a plurality of pad-side fastening structures 8 including preferably overlaps with the absorber 5 respectively.

[0035] In the present embodiment, as described above and as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the stretchable leg cuff 65 extends along the longitudinal direction X at a position outside the lateral direction Y from the side edge along the longitudinal direction X of the absorber 5. In at least one of the ventral side (ventral part F) or the dorsal side (dorsal part R), it is preferable that the start position of the expansion and contraction of the leg cuff 65 coincides with the inner edge in the longitudinal direction X of the pad-side fastening structure 8 in the longitudinal direction X or is located outside the longitudinal direction X beyond the inner edge. With such a configuration, combined with the characteristic configuration of the present invention described above, the predetermined effect of the present invention is more surely achieved. The "starting position of the expansion and contraction of the leg cuff 65" refers to one end in the longitudinal direction X of the expansion and contraction region (the arrangement region of the standing portion 62) where the elastic member 66 for forming the leg cuff that constitutes the leg cuff 65 is arranged to be expandable and contractible in the longitudinal direction X. The expansion and contraction region typically extends in the same direction over at least the entire length of the thigh portion M in the longitudinal direction X, and further extends to the ventral side portion F and the dorsal side portion R respectively. Also, the "inner edge in the longitudinal direction X in the pad-side fastening structure 8" refers to the inner edge in the longitudinal direction X of the plurality of pad-side fastening structures 8 that are intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction X in the end region in the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent pad 1, and is the one located most inward in the longitudinal direction X (pad-side fastening structure 8B in this embodiment). The "inner edge" here refers to the one located on the inner side ( the longitudinal center line of the absorbent pad 1 closer to the The longitudinal center line (not shown) is an imaginary straight line that bisects the absorbent pad 1 in the longitudinal direction X and extends in the lateral direction Y. inside) in the longitudinal direction X among the pair of longitudinal edges in the transverse direction Y of the pad-side fastening structure 8. The pair of longitudinal edges in the longitudinal direction X that the pad-side fastening structure 8 has includes the inner edge and the outer edge located on the side opposite to the inner edge.

[0036] Also, in this embodiment, as described above and shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a stretchable first leak-proof cuff 6 (transverse leak-proof cuff) extending along the longitudinal direction X is provided at a position inward in the transverse direction Y from the leg cuff 65. In at least one of the ventral side (ventral side portion F) or the dorsal side (dorsal side portion R), it is preferable that the starting position of the expansion and contraction of the first leak-proof cuff 6 coincides with the inner edge in the longitudinal direction X in the pad-side fastening structure 8 or is located outward in the longitudinal direction X beyond the inner edge. With such a configuration, combined with the characteristic configuration of the present invention described above, the predetermined effect of the present invention can be achieved more surely. The "starting position of the expansion and contraction of the first leak-proof cuff 6" refers to one end in the longitudinal direction X of the expansion and contraction region (the arrangement region of the standing portion 62) where the first elastic member 61 that constitutes the first leak-proof cuff 6 is arranged to be expandable and contractible in the longitudinal direction X. The expansion and contraction region typically extends in the same direction over at least the entire length of the thigh portion M in the longitudinal direction X, and further extends to the ventral side portion F and the dorsal side portion R respectively.

[0037] Figures 6 to 12 illustrate the arrangement patterns of the pad-side fastening structures that can be adopted in the present invention. Regarding the embodiments of the absorbent pad described below, the configurations different from the absorbent pad 1 described above will be mainly described, and the configurations similar to those of the absorbent pad 1 will be denoted by the same reference numerals and the description thereof will be omitted. For the configurations not particularly described in the embodiments of the absorbent pad described below, the description of the absorbent pad 1 is appropriately applied. Further, regarding the embodiments of the absorbent pad described below, the ventral part F will be described, but unless otherwise specified, the description of the ventral part F is also appropriately applied to the dorsal part R.

[0038] The absorbent pad 1A shown in FIG. 6 is different from the absorbent pad 1 (see FIG. 4) in that the total length in the lateral direction Y (longitudinal direction) of the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A is longer than that of the other pad-side fastening structures 8 (inner fastening structure 8B), and the total lengths in the lateral direction Y of the plurality of pad-side fastening structures 8 are the same as each other. The absorbent pad 1A is particularly excellent in preventing the absorbent pad 1A constituting the diaper 10 from being easily peeled off from the holder 11 when the wearer of the diaper 10 moves the legs vigorously. The absorbent pad 1B shown in FIG. 7 is different from the absorbent pad 1 in that the fastening structures 8A and 8B extend over the entire length in the lateral direction Y of the absorbent pad 1B and are not configured such that the fastening structures 8A and 8B are arranged at both ends in the lateral direction Y of the absorbent pad. The absorbent pad 1B is excellent in preventing the absorbent pad 1B constituting the diaper 10 from being peeled off from the holder 11 starting from the end in its lateral direction Y even when the wearer of the diaper 10 moves violently and an excessive load is applied. The absorbent pad 1C shown in FIG. 8 is different from the absorbent pad 1 in that the fastening structures 8A and 8B are curved in plan view. The absorbent pad 1C is particularly excellent in that it can easily follow the body of the wearer and can easily adhere to the holder used in combination.

[0039] The absorbent pads 1D shown in Fig. 9, the absorbent pad 1E shown in Fig. 10, and the absorbent pad 1F shown in Fig. 11 are all common in that three pad-side fastening structures 8 (8A, 8B, 8C) are intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction X of one end region of the absorbent pad. The fastening structure 8A is the outermost longitudinal fastening structure, and the fastening structures 8B and 8C are inner fastening structures. The lengths (widths) of the respective fastening structures 8 in the longitudinal direction X are the same as each other. In the absorbent pad 1D, the interval between adjacent fastening structures 8 in the longitudinal direction X is shorter than the length (width) of the fastening structure 8 in the longitudinal direction X. In the absorbent pad 1E, the interval between adjacent fastening structures 8 in the longitudinal direction X is shorter than the length (width) of the fastening structure 8 in the longitudinal direction X. The absorbent pad 1F is different from the absorbent pads 1D and 1E in that the intervals between adjacent fastening structures 8 in the longitudinal direction X vary depending on the position, but are the same regardless of the position. In the form shown in Fig. 11, the interval between the outermost longitudinal fastening structure 8A and the adjacent inner fastening structure 8B is short .

[0040] The absorbent pad 1G shown in Fig. 12 is different from the absorbent pad 1 (see Fig. 4) in that fastening inhibition portions 81 are provided on the fastening structures 8A and 8B. The fastening inhibition portion 81 is a portion where fastening of the holder-side fastening structure of the holder constituting the separate-type absorbent article together with the absorbent pad 1G is made impossible. In the form shown in Fig. 12, a plurality of circular fastening inhibition portions 81 in plan view are intermittently arranged in the lateral direction Y on each of the fastening structures 8A and 8B. The fastening inhibition portion 81 can be formed, for example, by subjecting the pad-side fastening structure 8, which is a male member or a female member of a mechanical surface fastener, to a pressing process such as embossing with or without heat. Generally, when an absorbent pad is in an unused state, such as during the distribution process, it is often folded in half longitudinally with the skin-facing surface on the inside. For example, when the absorbent pad 1 without the adhesion-inhibiting portion 81 is folded in half in such a state, the opposing ventral portion F and dorsal portion R are joined via the adhesion structures 8A and 8B, and it becomes necessary to spend time to release this connection when using it. There is also a risk that the absorbent pad may be damaged by forcibly releasing the connection. On the other hand, in the case of the absorbent pad 1G, since the adhesion-inhibiting portion 81 is provided in the adhesion structures 8A and 8B, the ventral portion F and the dorsal portion R are less likely to be joined even when folded in half as described above, and the above-mentioned inconveniences are less likely to occur.

[0041] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment and can be appropriately modified without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, the absorbent pad of the present invention may be provided with a disposal tape and an indicator for notifying the wearer of excretion. The disposal tape is for maintaining the state of the rolled-up used absorbent pad when the used absorbent pad is rolled up and discarded. The disposal tape is typically provided on the non-skin-facing surface (outer surface) of the absorbent pad. During use, one longitudinal end of the absorbent pad, which is rolled up longitudinally with the skin-facing surface (inner surface) on the inside and exposed on the outer surface, is arranged to straddle in the same direction, thereby maintaining the rolled-up state of the absorbent pad. The indicator is used for the purpose of notifying the timing of replacing the absorbent pad. Typically, it is made to visually change, such as by changing color upon contact with urine, and the color change of the indicator can be visually recognized from the outside of the absorbent pad. As the above-described disposal tape and indicator, those conventionally used in this type of absorbent article can be used without particular limitation.

[0042] In the above-described embodiment, the pad-side adhesion structure 8 is provided on the skin-facing surface (inner surface) of the absorbent pad 1. However, in the present invention, it may be provided on the non-skin-facing surface (outer surface) of the absorbent pad 1. In that case, for example, the pad-side adhesion structure 8 can be fixed to the non-skin-facing surface of the back sheet 4.

[0043] In the above-described embodiment, the pad-side fastening structure 8 is the male member of the mechanical hook-and-loop fastener, and the holder-side fastening structure 14 is the female member of the mechanical hook-and-loop fastener. However, conversely in the present invention, the pad-side fastening structure 8 may be the female member of the mechanical hook-and-loop fastener, and the holder-side fastening structure 14 may be the male member of the mechanical hook-and-loop fastener.
