Abstract

To reduce a situation where the hands of an operator become dirty by floating matter such as cloud toner attached to a grip part of a detachable unit compared with a case where an image forming apparatus does not comprise cleaning means that comes into contact with and cleans the grip part of the detachable unit during the attachment and detachment of the detachable unit.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a detachable unit that is detachably attached to an apparatus body; and cleaning means that is provided in the apparatus body, and comes into contact with a grip part of the detachable unit during the attachment and detachment of the detachable unit to remove floating matter inside the apparatus body attached to the grip part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
