To provide a technology capable of properly and automatically cleaning the bottom of a cleaning target in water.SOLUTION: An exemplary underwater cleaning apparatus comprises a cleaning machine to clean a cleaning target while moving in water, an attitude sensor to detect the cleaning machine's attitude, and a control part to perform the moving control of the cleaning machine based on the information obtained from the attitude sensor.
