Abstract

To provide an adsorbent that uses a metal-organic framework and is particularly effective in adsorbing cyclohexane-based monocyclic compounds, and a resin composition that comprises the absorbent in the resin.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an adsorbent capable of adsorbing at least a monocyclic compound. The adsorbent comprises a metal-organic framework having a cyclic structure or a cage-like structure with at least one organic ligand coordinated to at least one metal ion. The organic ligand is a cyclic organic compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None

Claims

1. An adsorbent for adsorbing at least one of cyclopentane derivatives, cyclohexane derivatives, butanal, ethyl acetate, hexane and its derivatives, and formic acid, The adsorbent contains a metal-organic structure having a cyclic or cage-like structure formed by the coordination of potassium ions with α-cyclodextrin or γ-cyclodextrin, The adsorbent is characterized in that the metal-organic structure is bound to 0.25 to 0.8 moles of α-cyclodextrin or γ-cyclodextrin per mole of potassium ions.

2. The adsorbent according to claim 1, wherein the metal-organic structure has a two-dimensional sheet-like layered structure.

3. A resin composition characterized by containing the adsorbent described in claim 1 in the resin.
