Abstract

To provide a sensitivity test device for smoke detectors that can reduce testing time by testing multiple smoke detectors at once.SOLUTION: A sensitivity test device for testing the sensitivity of smoke detectors includes: a smoke supply unit provided with an internal space into which smoke generated by a smoke generator is introduced; a test chamber provided with a test space where a mounting plate on which one or more smoke detectors to be tested are removably installed is placed, and smoke is introduced from the smoke supply unit; and a control unit for determining the sensitivity of the smoke detectors. The test space is partitioned into a plurality of test chambers by means of the mounting plates, each of which is equipped with smoke concentration detection means and connected to an interior space of the smoke supply unit through an opening formed in a wall of the smoke supply unit. The mounting plate can be inserted and removed in a direction parallel to the detector mounting surface of the mounting plate. The control unit is configured to determine the sensitivity of the smoke detectors installed on the mounting plate based on a signal from the smoke concentration detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Claims

1. A sensitivity test apparatus for testing the sensitivity of a smoke detector, comprising: a smoke supply unit having an internal space into which smoke generated by a smoke generating device is introduced; a tester body having a test space into which smoke flows from the smoke supply unit and on which mounting plates are provided for the detachable installation of one or more smoke detectors to be tested; and a control device for determining the sensitivity of the smoke detector, The aforementioned test space is divided into multiple test chambers by the aforementioned mounting plate. Each of the aforementioned test chambers is equipped with a smoke concentration detection means. Each of the aforementioned test chambers is connected to the internal space of the smoke supply unit through an opening formed in the wall of the smoke supply unit, and the mounting plate is configured to be insertable and removable in a direction parallel to the sensor mounting surface of the mounting plate. The control device is characterized by determining the sensitivity of a smoke detector installed on the mounting plate based on a signal from the smoke concentration detection means.

2. Multiple tester bodies are connected together, and the smoke supply unit is configured to have a length corresponding to the multiple tester bodies.
