To solve the problem in which in order to move a driving mechanism advancing and retreating in an optical axis direction inside an optical instrument, a flexible printed wiring board movable following the driving mechanism is required.SOLUTION: A connection member is used for an optical system having an optical axis, and the connection member is arranged over a first member and a second member and has an expandable telescoping part. The telescoping part is provided with both a plurality of through slits intersecting an expansion direction, and a plurality of peripheral connection parts connected with the plurality of through slits. The telescoping part is further provided with a plurality of notch slits notched while facing each other in a direction parallel to the expansion direction, and a plurality of inter-notch connection parts connected with each other between the notch slits facing each other. The first member and the second member can move relatively in a direction parallel to the optical axis.
