Abstract

To provide a technology for enabling a communication device to quickly and appropriately receive a processing execution notification from a notification server.SOLUTION: In a case where a process executing instruction is sent to a notification server from a terminal device, a communication device is configured to, receive a process executing notification from the notification server, and execute a predetermined process. The communication device is configured to operate alternately in each of a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the process executing notification may be received from the notification server by sending a polling signal to the notification server. In a case where the process executing notification is not received the notification server, the communication device is operated in the second mode. In the second mode, the process executing notification may be received from the notification server by establishing connection of a server-push type. In a case where first predetermined time elapses after the polling signal is sent to the notification server without receiving the processing execution notification from the notification server, the connection is disconnected to operate in the first mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
