Abstract
To provide a technology which can open a flap stably in a simple constitution that can be miniaturized.SOLUTION: An enclosing device includes: first conveyance means for conveying an envelope in an envelope conveyance passage as a path for conveying an envelope; second conveyance means positioned further on the downstream in the conveyance direction of an envelope than the first conveyance means in the envelope conveyance passage; a conveyance guide member positioned between the first conveyance means and the second conveyance means in the envelope conveyance passage; and flap opening means for opening a flap of an envelope. At least one of part of the conveyance guide member and one end part of the flap opening means is arranged so as to stride over the envelope conveyance passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
