Abstract

To provide a heavy load tire 2 which can be reduced in weight and can achieve improvement of SFC resistance.SOLUTION: In a meridian cross section of a tire 2, a contour CL of a carcass 12 has: a curved portion 44 expanded outward; and a reverse curved portion 46 which is provided at radial inside of the curved portion 44 and dents inward. The reverse curved portion 46 is connected to the curved portion 44. A boundary between the curved portion 44 and the reverse curved portion 46 is a flexion point PV. A part or whole of the curved portion 44 is expressed by a first arc including the flexion point PV. A part or whole of the reverse curved portion 46 is expressed by a second arc including the flexion point. The first and second arcs come in contact with each other at the flexion point PV. A side surface 48 of the tire 2 has; a recessed portion 50 which hollows inward; an outside portion 52 which is located at radial outside of the recessed portion 50; and an inside portion 54 which is located at radial inside of the recessed portion 50. The recessed portion 50 is located at radial outside of the flexion point PV.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
