Abstract
Claims
1. An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition comprising ferulic acid and dipropylene glycol, wherein the ferulic acid content in the composition is 5 to 10% by mass, the mass ratio of dipropylene glycol to ferulic acid in the composition is 3 to 5 times, and the ferulic acid is dissolved in the composition.
2. An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition comprising ferulic acid and butylene glycol, wherein the ferulic acid content in the composition is 5 to 10% by mass, the mass ratio of butylene glycol to ferulic acid in the composition is 3.5 to 5.5 times, and the ferulic acid is dissolved in the composition.
3. An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the SPF value is 20 to 40.
4. An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition according to claim 1 or 2, which does not contain any ultraviolet absorbers or ultraviolet scattering agents other than ferulic acid.
5. An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition according to claim 1 or 2, which is a sunscreen cosmetic, liquid foundation, makeup base, hair mist, hair milk, or hair essence.
6. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition according to claim 1 or 2, comprising an emulsifier, an oil, and water.
7. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the pH is 3 to 5.
8. A method for producing the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition described in Claim 1, comprising mixing 5 to 10% by mass of ferulic acid with the composition and an amount of dipropylene glycol such that the mass ratio of dipropylene glycol to ferulic acid in the composition is 3 to 5 times, thereby dissolving the ferulic acid in the dipropylene glycol.
9. A method for producing the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition according to Claim 2, comprising mixing 5 to 10% by mass of ferulic acid with the composition and an amount of butylene glycol such that the mass ratio of butylene glycol to ferulic acid in the composition is 3.5 to 5.5 times, thereby dissolving the ferulic acid in the butylene glycol.
