Description

lighting equipment

[0001] The present invention relates to a lighting device.

[0002] 2. Description of the Related Art For example, in the medical field, lighting devices equipped with light-emitting elements such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are known.

[0003] Light emitted from the light-emitting element along the illumination direction toward one side of the lighting device includes light emitted straight along the illumination direction and light emitted at an angle oblique to the illumination direction. This light emitted at an angle oblique to the illumination direction may be totally reflected, for example, at the interface of a resin member attached to the lighting device, and may be emitted further away from the illumination direction. In this case, part of the light emitted from the light-emitting element deviates from the illumination direction, which may prevent the lighting device from emitting light along the illumination direction with the desired brightness.

[0004] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an illumination device that includes a resin interface and a light-reflecting member that totally reflect light that falls outside the illumination range where light is required to be emitted, and in which the positional relationship between the light-emitting element, the resin interface, and the light-reflecting member is determined so that light emitted from the light-emitting element is totally reflected at least once at each of the resin interface and the light-reflecting member and concentrated within the illumination range.

[0005] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-94129

[0006] With such an illumination device, light that deviates from the illumination direction toward one side of the illumination device is totally reflected at the resin interface or the light-reflecting member so that it is emitted again along the illumination direction, thereby making it possible to irradiate light along the illumination direction at the desired brightness.

[0007] As described above, it is preferable that an illumination device can emit light along an illumination direction at a desired brightness. Therefore, there is a demand for an illumination device that includes a resin interface or a light-reflecting member having a shape that can more reliably emit light that deviates from the illumination direction along the illumination direction.

[0008] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a lighting device equipped with a light reflecting member that is configured to more reliably emit light that deviates from the lighting direction along the lighting direction.

[0009] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention is characterized by the following configuration.

[0010] a light-emitting element fixed to the lighting device cover and emitting the light along a lighting direction from the light-emitting opening toward one side of the lighting device; a diffusion plate fixed to the lighting device cover so as to be positioned on one side of the light-emitting element and diffusing the light emitted from the light-emitting element; a shutter fixed to the lighting device cover so as to be positioned on one side of the diffusion plate and changing the lighting range of the light diffused by the diffusion plate; and a light-reflecting member fixed to the lighting device cover so as to be positioned on one side of the shutter and having a resin interface that totally reflects a portion of the light that has passed through the shutter and then emits the light along the lighting direction, wherein the light-reflecting member has a transmissive interface on one side through which the light can pass, and the resin interface comprises an inward-protruding resin interface that is formed to surround the outer periphery of the light-emitting opening and protrudes toward the other side, and an outward-protruding resin interface that is formed to surround the outer periphery of the inward-protruding resin interface and protrudes toward the other side.

[0011] According to the present invention, the lighting device includes an inward-protruding resin interface formed to surround the outer periphery of the shutter and protruding toward the other side, and an outward-protruding resin interface formed to surround the outer periphery of the inward-protruding resin interface and protruding toward the other side. Due to this inward-protruding resin interface and outward-protruding resin interface, light that passes through the shutter and is reflected toward the other side at the transmission interface is totally reflected at the inward-protruding resin interface or the outward-protruding resin interface and is emitted again along the lighting direction. Therefore, it is possible to provide a lighting device including a light-reflecting member configured to more reliably emit light that deviates from the lighting direction along the lighting direction.

[0012] The light-emitting element may also include a plurality of first LEDs having a first color temperature and a plurality of second LEDs having a second color temperature, and the first LEDs and the second LEDs may be arranged alternately.

[0013] According to this configuration, the color temperature of the entire light-emitting element can be controlled by lighting the first LEDs and the second LEDs arranged alternately in a predetermined combination.

[0014] The shutter may be configured to change the illumination range of the light in a plurality of stages.

[0015] According to this configuration, the illumination range can be freely changed and light can be emitted.

[0016] Therefore, it is possible to provide a lighting device including a light reflecting member configured to more reliably redirect light deviated from one side toward that side.

[0018] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described based on the embodiments shown in the drawings.

[0019] [Outline of the Lighting Device] FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a lighting device according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0020] As shown in FIG. 1, a lighting device 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a lighting device cover 10 having a substantially circular shape.

[0021] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the lighting device 100 taken along line II-II in FIG.

[0022] 2, the lighting device cover 10 has a substantially circular cover opening 12 on one side. The lighting device cover 10 also has a cover inclined surface portion 14 on the other side of the cover opening 12 that protrudes radially inward as it slopes from one side to the other. Therefore, the lighting device cover 10 is hollow inside and formed in a substantially conical shape.

[0023] The lighting device cover 10 is provided with a flat cover plane portion 16 at the other end of the cover inclined surface portion 14, the flat cover plane portion 16 being located approximately in the center of the lighting device cover 10. A circular emission opening 18 is provided in the center of the cover plane portion 16. A light-emitting element 20 is attached to the other side of the cover plane portion 16, and is configured to emit light from the emission opening 18 along an illumination direction toward one side of the lighting device 100.

[0024] In addition, a circular diffusion plate 30 is attached to the other side of the cover plane portion 16 of the lighting device cover 10, and is positioned on one side of the light-emitting element 20 and configured to diffuse the light emitted from the light-emitting element 20 toward one side.

[0025] Furthermore, a circular shutter 40 is attached to the other side of the cover plane portion 16 of the lighting device cover 10, and is positioned on one side of the diffuser plate 30 and configured to change the illumination range of the light diffused by the diffuser plate 30.

[0026] A light-reflecting member 50 is attached to the interior surrounded by the cover inclined surface portion 14 and the cover flat surface portion 16 of the lighting device cover 10. The light-reflecting member 50 is disposed on one side of the shutter 40 and has a resin interface 52 that totally reflects a portion of the light that passes through the shutter 40 and then emits the light along the lighting direction. The resin interface 52 is configured to slope radially inward from one side to the other side along the inside of the cover inclined surface portion 14 on the other side of the light-reflecting member 50. The light-reflecting member 50 also has a transmission interface 54 at an end on one side of the resin interface 52 that is configured to allow light to pass through. The transmission interface 54 is configured to slope radially inward from one side to the other side.

[0027] In this embodiment, a heat sink 60 is attached to the other side of the lighting device cover 10 , which is disposed on the other side of the light emitting element 20 and is configured to dissipate heat generated by the light emitting element 20 .

[0028] [Light Emitting Element] The light emitting element 20 of this embodiment will be described in more detail.

[0029] FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram showing an arrangement of the light emitting elements 20 of the lighting device 100 of FIG.

[0030] In this embodiment, the light-emitting element 20 includes 16 first LEDs 20a having a color temperature of 6500 K (first color temperature) and 16 second LEDs 20b having a color temperature of 3000 K (second color temperature). In FIG. 3, the first LEDs 20a and the second LEDs 20b are shown as square and diamond shapes, respectively, for ease of explanation. In reality, the first LEDs 20a and the second LEDs 20b may have other shapes, such as circles. The first LEDs 20a and the second LEDs 20b are alternately arranged so that the overall arrangement forms a substantially cross-shaped polygon.

[0031] The first LED 20a and the second LED 20b are electrically connected to an external controller 200 so that their lighting can be controlled. The controller 200 is configured to light the first LED 20a and the second LED 20b in a predetermined combination. By combining the first LED 20a and the second LED 20b, the light-emitting element 20 as a whole is configured to emit light in four levels: 3800K, 4100K, 4500K, and 5000K.

[0032] [Shutter] The shutter 40 of this embodiment will be described in more detail.

[0033] In this embodiment, the shutter 40 is configured as a lens shutter having a plurality of shutter leaves 42 .

[0034] Returning to FIG. 1, the shutter leaves 42 are arranged in a line in the circumferential direction along the circular emission opening 18, and are each configured to be movable in the radial direction.

[0035] A shutter opening 44 is provided in the center of the shutter 40 and is surrounded by a plurality of shutter leaves 42. This shutter opening 44 is configured to become larger or smaller as the shutter leaves 42 move radially.

[0036] The shutter 40 also includes a link member 46 configured to move the shutter leaf 42. The link member 46 extends radially outward with the center of the emission opening 18 as its axis, and is configured to be able to rotate around the shutter 40.

[0037] A shutter motor 400 having a motor shaft 400a is attached to the lighting device cover 10 on the other side of the cover inclined surface portion 14. This shutter motor 400 is electrically connected to an externally provided controller 500. This controller 500 is configured to drive the motor shaft 400a of the shutter motor 400 to rotate.

[0038] A motor connecting plate 410 is connected to the motor shaft 400a. This motor connecting plate 410 extends radially outward around the motor shaft 400a and is configured to rotate around the motor shaft 400a when driven by the shutter motor 400. The motor connecting plate 410 is also connected at its end to the link member 46 of the shutter 40 and is configured to move in conjunction with the link member 46 when driven by the shutter motor 400. Therefore, when the shutter motor 400 is driven, the motor connecting plate 410 rotates around the motor shaft 400a, and at the same time, the link member 46 rotates around the shutter 40, moving the shutter leaf 42.

[0039] [Light Reflecting Member] The light reflecting member 50 of this embodiment will be described in more detail.

[0040] A semi-ellipsoidal recess 56 extending from the other side to the one side is provided in the approximate center of the light reflecting member 50. The entire surface of this recess 56 is a transmission interface through which light can pass. Also, a hole 58 penetrating from the other side to the one side is provided in the approximate center of the recess 56.

[0041] As described above, the light reflecting member 50 is attached to the inside surrounded by the cover inclined surface portion 14 and the cover flat surface portion 16 of the lighting device cover 10 so that the recessed portion 56 is coaxial with the emission opening portion 18 .

[0042] The resin interface 52 of the light reflecting member 50 is formed to surround the outer periphery of the recess 56, which is arranged coaxially with the emission opening 18, and includes an inwardly protruding resin interface 52a that protrudes toward the other side. The inwardly protruding resin interface 52a has an inner side surface 53a that is configured to slope radially outward from the other side toward one side. The other end of the inwardly protruding resin interface 52a is close to one side of the cover flat surface portion 16 of the lighting device cover 10.

[0043] Furthermore, the resin interface 52 of the light reflecting member 50 includes an outward-protruding resin interface 52b that is formed to surround the outer periphery of the inward-protruding resin interface 52a and protrudes toward the other side. An intermediate side surface 53b is provided radially inward of the outward-protruding resin interface 52b, sloping radially outward from the radially outer end of the inward-protruding resin interface 52a toward the other side. Meanwhile, an outer side surface 53c is provided radially outward from the outward-protruding resin interface 52b, sloping radially outward from the other side toward the one side, and connecting to the radially outer end of the transmission interface 54.

[0044] [Operation Method of the Lighting Device] The operation method of the lighting device 100 of this embodiment will be described in more detail.

[0045] 3 , the controller 200 lights up in a predetermined combination the 16 first LEDs 20a and the 16 second LEDs 20b of the light-emitting element 20 attached to the lighting device 100. The light emitted from the light-emitting element 20 by lighting the first LEDs 20a and the second LEDs 20b travels inside the light-emitting opening 18 along the illumination direction, is diffused by the diffuser plate 30, and then passes through the shutter opening 44 of the shutter 40 (see FIG. 1 ).

[0046] FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram showing the illumination range of the illumination device 100 of FIG.

[0047] As shown in FIG. 6 , light passing through the shutter opening 44 of the shutter 40 is diffused radially inside the recessed portion 56 of the light reflecting member 50. A portion of this diffused light passes through the transmission interface of the recessed portion 56 and enters the light reflecting member 50. A portion of the light entering the light reflecting member 50 is reflected at the transmission interface 54 provided at one end of the light reflecting member 50. The light reflected at the transmission interface 54 is totally reflected at the inner side surface 53 a provided at the inward-protruding resin interface 52 a of the resin interface 52 or the outer side surface 53 c provided at the outward-protruding resin interface 52 b of the resin interface 52, and then reaches the transmission interface 54 again and is emitted from the transmission interface 54 in the illumination direction. Therefore, the light incident on the light reflecting member 50 is emitted along the illumination direction and illuminates the inside of the illumination range 70 a.

[0048] FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the operation of the shutter 40 of the lighting device 100 of FIG.

[0049] As shown in Fig. 4, the controller 500 drives the shutter motor 400 of the shutter 40. By driving this shutter motor 400, the shutter leaf 42 moves in the radial direction via the motor shaft 400a, the motor connecting plate 410, and the link member 46 so that the shutter opening 44 of the shutter 40 becomes larger than in Fig. 1.

[0050] FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram showing the illumination range of the illumination device 100 of FIG.

[0051] As shown in FIG. 7 , light passing through the shutter opening 44, which is larger than that shown in FIG. 1 , is diffused further radially inside the recessed portion 56 of the light reflecting member 50 than in FIG. 6 . Therefore, the light incident on the light reflecting member 50 is emitted along the illumination direction and illuminates the inside of the illumination range 70 b. Because the shutter opening 44 is larger than that shown in FIG. 1 , the illumination range 70 b is larger than the illumination range 70 a shown in FIG. 6 .

[0052] FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing the operation of the shutter 40 of the lighting device 100 of FIG.

[0053] As shown in Fig. 5, a controller 500 drives the shutter motor 400 of the shutter 40. Driving this shutter motor 400 moves the shutter leaf 42 in the radial direction via the motor shaft 400a, the motor connecting plate 410, and the link member 46 so that the shutter opening 44 of the shutter 40 becomes larger than in Fig. 4.

[0054] FIG. 8 is an explanatory diagram showing the illumination range of the illumination device of FIG.

[0055] As shown in FIG. 8 , light passing through the shutter opening 44, which is larger than that shown in FIG. 4 , is diffused further radially inside the recessed portion 56 of the light reflecting member 50 than in FIG. 7 . A portion of this diffused light passes through the transmission interface of the recessed portion 56 and enters the light reflecting member 50. A portion of the light entering the light reflecting member 50 is reflected at the transmission interface 54 provided at one end of the light reflecting member 50. The light reflected at this transmission interface 54 is totally reflected at the inner side surface 53 a provided at the inward-protruding resin interface 52 a of the resin interface 52 or the outer side surface 53 c provided at the outward-protruding resin interface 52 b of the resin interface 52, and then reaches the transmission interface 54 again and is emitted from the transmission interface 54 in the illumination direction. Therefore, the light incident on the light reflecting member 50 is emitted along the illumination direction and illuminates the inside of the illumination range 70 c. Because the shutter opening 44 is larger than that shown in FIG. 4 , the illumination range 70 c is larger than the illumination range 70 b shown in FIG. 7 .

[0056] As described above, the lighting device 100 according to this embodiment includes the light-emitting element 20 that emits light from the emission opening 18 along the illumination direction toward one side of the lighting device 100, and the light-reflecting member 50 that is fixed to the lighting device cover 10 so as to be positioned on one side of the shutter 40 that is fixed to the lighting device cover 10 so as to be positioned on one side of the diffuser plate 30, and has a resin interface 52 that totally reflects a portion of the light that has passed through the shutter 40 and then emits the light along the illumination direction. The resin interface 52 includes an inward-protruding resin interface 52a that is formed to surround the outer periphery of the emission opening 18 and protrudes toward the other side, and an outward-protruding resin interface 52b that is formed to surround the outer periphery of the inward-protruding resin interface 52a and protrudes toward the other side.

[0057] Due to the inward-protruding resin interface 52a and the outward-protruding resin interface 52b, light that passes through the shutter 40 and is reflected toward the other side at the transmission interface 54 is totally reflected at the inward-protruding resin interface 52a or the outward-protruding resin interface 52b and is emitted again along the illumination direction. Therefore, it is possible to provide an illumination device 100 that includes a light reflecting member 50 that is configured to more reliably emit light that deviates from the illumination direction along the illumination direction.

[0058] The light-emitting element 20 has a plurality of first LEDs 20a having a first color temperature and a plurality of second LEDs 20b having a second color temperature. The first LEDs 20a and the second LEDs 20b are arranged alternately. Therefore, the color temperature of the entire light-emitting element 20 can be controlled by lighting the alternatingly arranged first LEDs 20a and second LEDs 20b in a predetermined combination.

[0059] The shutter 40 is configured to change the illumination ranges 70a, 70b, and 70c of the light in a plurality of stages, so that the illumination ranges 70a, 70b, and 70c can be freely changed to irradiate the light.

[0060] In this embodiment, the light-emitting element 20 comprises 16 first LEDs 20a and 16 second LEDs 20b, which are arranged alternately so that the overall arrangement forms a roughly cross-shaped polygon, but it may also have, for example, 32 first LEDs 20a and 32 second LEDs 20b, which are arranged alternately so that the overall arrangement forms a roughly square.

[0061] In this embodiment, the light-emitting element 20 includes a first LED 20a having a first color temperature and a second LED 20b having a second color temperature, but may include, for example, three or more types of LEDs each having a different color temperature.

[0062] In this embodiment, the shutter 40 is configured to change the light illumination range 70a, 70b, 70c in three stages, but it may also be configured to change the light irradiation range in four or more stages, or to change the light irradiation range continuously, for example.

[0063] In this embodiment, the resin interface 52 of the light reflecting member 50 includes an inwardly protruding resin interface 52a and an outwardly protruding resin interface 52b, but may include three or more resin interfaces protruding to the other side.
