Abstract

A conjugate comprising the following topoisomerase inhibitor derivative (A*): (see Formula) with a connector for binding to a Ligand Unit, wherein the connector is cleavably linked to the amine residue. The Ligand Unit is preferably an antibody. A* is also provided with the linked connector unit and intermediates for its synthesis, as well as the released payload.
