Abstract

This invention relates to a new method of manufacturing an improved soil rejuvenator , effective for enhancing agricultural productivity. The soil rejuvenator is 3 to 5 times more efficacious. It means that this produces comparable impact on soil fertility at only 20 to 33% dose of .the standard humic acids produced through already known art. The coal is pulverized to particle size of 2.0 mm to 4 mm and then spread on a containment floor. Hydrogen per oxide in quantity 10% of coal and diluted with equal amount of water is sprayed. Then the treated coal is charged in a reactor and stirred to form homogenized slurry by adding water in quantity 40 to 50 % of the coal. Hydrogen peroxide slow addition in continuous drips is started until total quantity of 15 to35% of the weight of coal is added during vigorous stirring conditions. After completion of reaction, more water is added and then liquid containing fulvic acids is separated by centrifuging the material. The fluid separated from slurry is in pH range 0.5 to 1.5 and contains 4 to 8% solubalized fulvic acids. The solids separated from slurry are rich in Lumic acids and transferred to a reaction vessel to which water in volumes 2 to 3 times of the coal is added and slurred by stirring. The pH is slowly raised to 10.0 to 12.0 by adding sodium hydrd-oxide or potassium hydro-oxide or Ammonium Hydroxide. Stirring is done until desired specifications (SG 1.091.1) of the extract is achieved. The liquid extract may for example find application as rejuvenator of soils, which are poor in organic matter or poor for agriculture purpose due to overuse. The said extract is also used in organic fertilizers. The fulvic Acid produced during the process may also be used for improving soil where germination of seeds is not uniform.
