Abstract

The subject of the application is a tank intended for storing a liquid medium, the structure of which is subject to buoyancy forces and includes a tight or sealed layer and at least one structural layer made of a porous material. This layer is selected in terms of porosity and volumetric density such that the pore volume of the porous material constitutes an integral or additional working volume of the tank, and the weight of this layer provides at least a portion of the load on the tight or sealed layer.
