[0005] In an embodiment of the invention, the apparatus further comprises at least one weight mount prong disposed on each of the arms, wherein the weight mount prong is sized and shaped to mount a weight plate or bumper thereon.

[0029] Generally, embodiments of the exercise apparatuses described herein are primarily utilized for building strength in and through rotational movements of the human body. A feature of these embodiments is that push and / or pull exercises for both sides of the body (i.e. right and left) can be performed without the user stepping outside the framework of the apparatus and / or having to switch mounted weights from one position on the apparatus to another in order to switch which rotational direction is being exercised and / or to switch the sides of push and / or pull exercise.
[0030] Referring now to the drawings, FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus 100, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention. “Rotation”, in an embodiment of the invention, means the motion imparted on a user's body while pushing on one side (e.g. with the left arm) and pulling on the other side (e.g. with the right arm) or vice versa. This rotation motion is facilitated by four L-shaped or V-shaped arms 104i, 104ii, 104iii, 104iv which are mounted on a frame 102 of the exercise apparatus 100 using a connector plate 112. Each of the arms 104i, 104ii, 104iii, 104iv is attached to the frame 102 such that they are each rotatable individually. For example, the arms 104i, 104ii, 104iii, 104iv rotate about axes 106i, 106ii, 106iii, 106iv, respectively.

Claims
1. A rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus, comprising:a frame with a left side and a right side;four arms rotatably mounted on the frame, wherein each of the arms is rotatable individually; and,a handle for each of the four arms.
2. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising at least one weight mount prong disposed on each of the arms, wherein the weight mount prong is sized and shaped to mount a weight plate or bumper thereon.
3. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, wherein two of the arms are mounted on the left side of the apparatus and two of the arms are mounted on the right side of the apparatus opposite the arms on the left side.
4. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the arms on each side of the apparatus rotate counter to each other.
5. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising at least one storage prong attached to a non-moving part of the apparatus.
6. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a back post.
7. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 6, further comprising at least one additional weight storage prong.
8. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the back post is extendable.
9. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the handles is moveably attached to its respective arm.
10. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the at least one of the handles is attached to its respective arm by a hinge, the hinge providing reversible movement to the handle from inside the frame to outside the frame.
11. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a crossbar extending between a left side and a right side of the frame.
12. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the frame and the arms is constructed of industry-standard weight rack components.
13. The rotation-based torso training exercise apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the arms are L-shaped or V-shaped.
