[0038] In this disclosure, the time unit may be any time duration, for example, symbol, slot, subframe and frame and so on. Without any limitation, only for illustration purposes, these time scales can be used interchangeably.

[0039] The term “resource” , “Physical Resource Block (PRB) or resource block” used herein may refer to a resource base unit in the frequency domain.

[0040] The term “SBFD aware UE” used herein may refer to the terminal device which obtains the SBFD configuration for time units, for example, the subband division or location of the time units, and supports the SBFD operations with the network device.

[0041] In this disclosure, the terms “frequency subband” and “subband” can be used interchangeably without any limitation. In addition, the frequency subband configured for the uplink communication in the SBFD time unit may be also referred to be as “uplink (UL)  subband” . In turn, the frequency subband configured for the downlink communication in the SBFD time unit may be also referred to be as “downlink (DL) subband” .

[0043] In this disclosure, the term “aset of SRS resources” may be used interchangeably with “aSRS resource set” .

[0044] As mentioned above, for enhancing the UL coverage, the network device may indicate to the terminal devices that some time units are configured as SBFD time units, for example, configuring some DL time units as the SBFD time units. Meanwhile, the terminal device may need to transmit SRS in the uplink direction based on the SRS resource set configuration, in order to estimate the channel status. Accordingly, the terminal device may utilize the configured SBFD time unit for the SRS transmission, for example, transmitting the SRS in the uplink subband of the SBFD time unit, to increase the opportunity of the SRS transmission. However, the SRS resource set configuration may be uncoordinated with the subband division of the SBFD time unit. For example, the resource for the SRS may be configured into a DL subband or a guardband of the SBFD time unit. In this case, the terminal device cannot transmit the SRS in the SBFD time unit. Furthermore, the SRS transmission is associated with the following uplink data channel. For example, the network device may feedback an SRS resource indicator (SRI) to the terminal device, to indicate which resource (for example, which beam) can be used for the uplink data channel. In this case, the previous SRS transmitted in the SBFD time unit or non-SBFD time unit may cause a different SRI. In one embodiment, for the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit, the SRS resource set can be separately configured. However, the separate configuration also cannot handle the issue related to the resource indication for the subsequent uplink.

[0045] In view of the above, the example embodiments of the disclosure propose a mechanism for the SRS resource set configuration with respect to the SBFD time unit. In this mechanism, a terminal device receives a resource indicator associated with an uplink channel from a network device. Then, if a time unit for the uplink channel is an SBFD time unit, the terminal device transmits the uplink channel using a first resource that is indicated in a first set of resources by the resource indicator. If the time unit is the non-SBFD time  unit, the terminal device transmits the uplink channel using a second resource that is indicated in a second set of resources by the resource indicator.

[0046] In this way, for the uplink channel transmitted on the SBFD time unit or the non-SBFD time unit, the resource indicator may indicate resources from different sets of the resources. As such, in the case that the channel status of the SBFD time unit is different from the non-SBFD time unit, the resource indicator may correctly indicate the resource for the subsequent uplink channel in the SBFD time unit or the non-SBFD time unit. Furthermore, the first set of resources may be a first set of SRS resources for the SBFD time unit, and the second set of resources may be a second set of SRS resources for the non-SBFD time unit. In this way, the coordination between the SRS resource configuration and the subband division in the SBFD time unit can be achieved.

[0047] Fig. 1 illustrates an example environment 100 in which example embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented.

[0048] The environment 100, which may be a part of a communication network, comprises a terminal device 110, a network device 120. In some embodiments, the communication network may include NTN, NB-IoT and / or eMTC. In some other embodiments, the communication network may include any other possible communication network. It is to be understood that the number of network devices and terminal devices is given only for the purpose of illustration without suggesting any limitations. The communication network may include any suitable number of network devices and / or terminal devices adapted for implementing embodiments of the present disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated that one or more terminal devices may be located in the environment 100. Without any limitation, the network device 120 supports the SBFD communication. For example, the network device 120 may transmit downlink (DL) channel to the terminal device 110 and receive UL channel from another terminal device 130 in the SBFD time unit, simultaneously. In this disclosure, the non-SBFD time unit may be UL only time unit or DL only time unit.

[0049] It is to be understood that the number of units and other objects in Fig. 1 is provided merely for the purpose of illustration without implying any limitations to the device environment 100. The device environment 100 may include any suitable number of functionality units configured to implement example embodiments of the subject disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated that one or more terminal devices may be  located in the device environment 100.

[0050] In this disclosure, as mentioned above, the coordination between the SRS resource configuration and the subband division in the SBFD time unit can be achieved, and the associated uplink channel transmission can be improved.

[0051] Fig. 2 illustrates a signaling process 200 for an SRS configuration and associated PUSCH transmission according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For illustrative purposes, the process 200 will be described with reference to Fig. 1.

[0052] In the signaling process 200, the network device 120 transmits (210) a resource indicator 215 associated with an uplink channel to the terminal device 110. The resource indicator 215 may identify a communication resource for the uplink channel. In some embodiments, the resource indicator may be a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) that identifies an SRS resource used for the SRS transmission from the terminal device 110. In addition or alternatively, the resource indicator 215 may identify certain resources within an uplink frequency of the SBFD time unit. In addition or alternatively, the resource indicator 215 may identify certain resources in the non-SBFD time unit. Without any limitation, the resource indicator 215 may also identify other communication resources.

[0053] In the example that the signal indicator identifies the SRS resource, the network device 120 may transmit (201) configuration information 202 to the terminal device 110. The configuration information 202 indicates a first set of SRS resources configured for the SBFD time unit and a second set of SRS resources configured for the non-SBFD time unit. Moreover, the first set of SRS resources is located within one or more uplink frequency subbands of the SBFD time unit. After receiving (203) the configuration information 202, the terminal device 110 may transmit (204) SRS 205 using the first set of SRS resources during the SBFD time unit. In turn, during the non-SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 may transmit (204) SRS 205 using the second set of SRS resources. In this case, after receiving (206) the SRS 205, the network device 120 may individually estimate the channel status on the SBFD time unit or the non-SBFD time unit. Then, the network device 120 may feedback the resource indicator, for example, SRI, to the terminal device 110. With respect to the SBFD time unit, the SRI may indicate a first resource from the first set of SRS resources. With respect to the non-SBFD time unit, the SRI may indicate a second resource from the second set of SRS resources, and the second resource may be the same as or different  from the first resource. In an example, the SRI may indicate a resource within the uplink subband of the SBFD time unit in the time domain. In addition or alternatively, the SRI may indicate another resource of the non-SBFD time unit in the time domain. In some embodiments, the network device 120 may transmit a first resource indicator (or a first SRI) specific to the SBFD time unit and a second resource indicator (or a second SRI) specific to the non-SBFD time unit. In addition, the first SRI indicates the first resource and the second SRI indicates the second resource. Alternatively, there is one SRI, and the one SRI may be associated to the resource in the first set of SRS resources or the second set of SRS resources in the predefined rule. In addition, the first resource may be also a first beam (for example, a first antenna port) , and the second resource may be a second beam (for example, a second antenna port) . For discussion clarity, the configuration of the first set of SRS resources and the second set of SRS resources is further discussed with reference to Figs. 4 to 9 and not discussed here.

[0054] Still referring to Fig. 2, if the terminal device 110 is to transmit an uplink channel, for example, physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and / or physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) , the terminal device 110 may determine whether the time unit for the uplink channel is the SBFD time unit or the non-SBFD time unit. Based on that the time unit for the uplink channel is the SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 transmits (230) the uplink channel 235 using the above first resource that is indicated in a first set of resources by the resource indicator 215. Alternatively, based on that the time unit is the non-SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 transmits (230) the uplink channel 235 using the above second resource that is indicated in a second set of resources by the resource indicator 215. In this case, since the network device may estimate the uplink channel of the SBFD time unit or the non-SBFD time unit individually, the performance of uplink channel transmission may be improved. In addition, the uplink channel transmitted in the SBFD time unit is based on the first set of resources that is configured for the SBFD time unit, for example, the first set of SRS resources. In turn, the uplink channel transmitted in the non-SBFD time unit is based on the second set of resources that is configured for the non-SBFD time unit, for example, the second set of SRS resources. Only for discussion purposes, the uplink channel transmission is further discussed with reference to Fig. 3.

[0055] Fig. 3 illustrates an example of an association between the PUSCH transmission on SBFD or non-SBFD time unit and the SRS resource configuration for the SBFD or non-SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0056] As shown in Fig. 3, since there may be CLI influence on SBFD symbols, the link quality of the SBFD time unit may be different from non-SBFD symbols. As mentioned above, for PUSCH 310 scheduled in the SBFD time unit (for example, slot or symbol) , the SRS resource indicated by the SRI in DCI that schedules PUSCH may belong to the first set of SRS resources 340. In turn, for PUSCH 320 scheduled in the non-SBFD time unit, the SRS resource indicated by the SRI in DCI that schedules PUSCH may belong to the second set of SRS resources. In this way, the PUSCH transmission successful probability can be improved. Alternatively, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0057] Referring back to Fig. 2, for ensuring that the SRS can be received, the terminal device 110 may transmit (206) a plurality of SRS repetition transmissions 205 to the network device 120. In some cases, the plurality of SRS repetition transmissions may cross more than one slots, and one of the plurality of SRS repetition transmissions is transmitted in one slot. In general, the SRS can be transmitted for 1, 2, or 4 repetition (s) which configured by repetitionFactor parameter. In addition, in some cases, one slot may have not enough UL resources to accommodate one SRS repetition transmission. In turn, the slot that is able to transmit the SRS repetition transmission can be counted as one available slot, for example, the slot including enough UL symbols. However, the available slot including SBFD symbols slot may be not counted. In the example embodiments of the disclosure, the available slot concept was introduced for SRS repetition transmission. If a slot is able to be used for one SRS repetition transmission, this slot can be considered as “the available slot” . In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 or network device 120 may determine whether a slot is the available slot by the following: determining whether one or more resources configured for the SRS repetition transmission in the slot are more than or equal to resources required for the SRS repetition transmission. Then, if the one or more resources are more than or equal to resources required for the SRS repetition transmission, the terminal device  110 or the second device 120 may determine this slot as the available slot. For discussion clarity, the “available slot” is further discussed with reference to Fig. 4.

[0058] Fig. 4 illustrates an example of a plurality of SRS repetition transmissions related to an SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0059] As shown in Fig. 4, a slot may comprise the SBFD symbols and the non-SBFD symbols, for example, the slot 0. Alternatively, the slot may only comprise the SBFD symbols (for example, the slot 1) . Alternatively, the slot may only comprise the non-SBFD symbols (for example, the slots 2 and 3) . As mentioned above, the SBFD symbol may be configured with the first set of SRS resources within the UL subband, and the non-SBFD symbol (i.e., UL symbol) may be configured with the second set of SRS resources. For a slot comprising the SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols, if the first sets of SRS resources in the SBFD symbols and the second sets of SRS resources in the non-SBFD symbols can accommodate one SRS repetition transmission, then this slot can be considered as the available slot, and the SRS repetition times plus one. Otherwise, this slot can be considered as unavailable, for example, the slot 0. For a slot only comprising the SBFD symbols, if the first sets of SRS resources in the SBFD symbols of the slot can accommodate one SRS repetition transmission, then this slot can be considered as the available slot, for example, the slot 1. Alternatively, for a slot only comprising non-SBFD symbols, if the second sets of SRS resources in the non-SBFD symbols of the slot can accommodate one SRS repetition transmission, then this slot can be considered as the available slot, for example, the slots 2 and 3. In view of the above, the SRS repetition transmissions 420, 430 and 440 may be transmitted and the SRS repetition transmission 410 cannot be transmitted. In this case, the slots 1 to 3 can be counted as one available slots. In the above embodiments of the disclosure, the counting method need to be changed if UL subband on SBFD symbols is configured / indicated for SRS transmission. Alternatively, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0060] Referring back to Fig. 2, as mentioned above, the configuration information 202 may indicate the first set of SRS resources for the SBFD time unit and the second set of SRS resources for the non-SBFD time unit. In some embodiments, the configuration information 202 may comprise one or more parameters that indicates the second set of SRS resources. Furthermore, the configuration information 202 may comprise at least one offset value, and the first set of SRS resources is indicated by the one or more parameters and the at least one offset value. Only for discussion clarity, the configuration information is further discussed with reference to Fig. 5.

[0061] Fig. 5 illustrates an example of an SRS resource set configuration according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0062] As shown in Fig. 5, the SRS resource set 510 represents the first set of SRS resources and the SRS resource set 520 represents the second set of SRS resources. As mentioned above, the configuration information may comprise the one or more parameters that directly indicate the SRS resource set 520 and at least one offset value 530. Moreover, the SRS resource set 510 may be indicated by the one or more parameters and the at least one offset value 530. In an example, the terminal device 110 transmits a plurality of SRS repetition transmissions crossing the SBFD symbol and non-SBFD symbol as shown in Fig. 5. In this case, an RB offset may be included in the configuration information (or in the downlink control information, DCI) to indicate the first device 110: the starting frequency offset of the SRS resource set in the SBFD symbols relative to the starting frequency position of the SRS resource set in the non-SBFD symbols. In addition, in some embodiments, the offset value is set to be zero in the case that the second set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit. That is, only in the case that the allocated frequency resource for the SRS is out of the UL subband of the SBFD time unit, then this offset value 530 is applied. Otherwise this parameter is not applied, and the frequency position of the SRS resource set is the same for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols.

[0063] In the example as shown in Fig. 5, the configured repetition factor is 2, and an RB offset is configured as “-8RB” for the SBFD symbols in the case that the configured  frequency-domain starting position for the SRS resource set is not within the UL subband of the SBFD symbol. Alternatively, in another example, since the starting UL RB in a SBFD slot is not coincides with the starting RB in the BWP, a new factor may be added for calculating the frequency domain position of SRS resource set. The new factor may indicate the starting RB of the SRS resource set in the SBFD slot. For example, the new factor V may be the value of the difference between the UL subband starting PRB of the SBFD time unit and the starting RB of SRS resource set configured on the UL only slot. The above embodiments can be considered as “one frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) plus additional parameters” . In this way, the SRS transmission on the SBFD symbols can be ensured.

[0064] In addition to the above offset value or alternatively, the configuration information 202 may include first configuration information and second configuration information separately. The first configuration information individually indicates the first set of SRS resources (i.e., the SRS resource set 510) and the second configuration information individually indicates the second set of SRS resources (i.e., the SRS resource set 520) . In this case, if the terminal device 110 transmits the plurality of SRS repetition transmissions as mentioned above, different FDRA may be determined for the SBFD or non-SBFD time unit. For example, if the configured SRS resource for UL slot overlaps with the DL subband of the SBFD time unit in the frequency domain, there may be two FDRAs for the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit. Otherwise, if the configured SRS resource for UL slot is within the UL subband of the SBFD time unit, the same FDRA may be allocated for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In addition or alternatively, a new parameter k4 can be defined for indicating the frequency-domain starting position of the SRS resource set on the SBFD symbols, relative to a point A or the starting RB in the BWP. This embodiment may be considered as “two FDRAs” . In this way, the SRS transmission on the SBFD symbols can be ensured.

[0065] In addition, the time domain resources may be also adjusted for the SBFD time units. For example, the startPosition-SBFD may be defined for indicating the starting symbol position of SBFD symbols and / or the last SBFD symbol which it is after or equal to the starting symbol position. In addition, nrofSymbols-SBFD may also be defined for indicating the number of SRS symbols for SRS transmission on the SBFD symbols, and it should not exceed the number of adjacent SBFD symbol.

[0066] Referring back to Fig. 2, when the terminal device 110 is to transmit (204) SRS or  SRS repetitions, there may be other downlink transmission that is scheduled with at least a part of the same resources. That is, the SRS transmission of the terminal device may collide with a downlink transmission. In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 or the network device 120 may compare a first priority level of the SRS transmission and a second priority level of the downlink transmission. Then, based on the priority level comparison, the terminal device 110 may transmit the SRS transmission to the network device, or receive the DL transmission from the network device 120. Accordingly, the network device 120 may receive the SRS transmission from the terminal device 110, or transmit the DL transmission to the terminal device 110. In other words, a criterion for the priority level related to collision is defined. For periodic or semi-persistent SRS transmission collide with the configured DL reception (s) , such as periodic CSI-RS / CORESET or SPS PDSCH, a mechanism for skipping / disabling periodic or semi-static SRS transmission occasions on SBFD slots / symbols can be introduced. In some embodiments, the priority criterion can be defined as below: a priority level of aperiodic reference signal is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent reference signal, a priority level of aperiodic uplink reference signal is higher than a priority level of preconfigured downlink reference signal, a priority level of preconfigured downlink control channel is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent uplink reference signal, or a priority level of aperiodic uplink reference signal is higher than a priority level of preconfigured downlink control channel.

[0067] In the specific example, dynamic grant (a-periodic SRS / CSI-RS / PRS) can have higher priority than periodic or semi-persistent SRS / CSI-RS / PRS. periodic or semi-persistent signal is dropped. In addition or alternatively, predefining that the downlink reference signals such as SSB, CSI-RS, PRS, and TRS have higher priority than the transmission of uplink reference signals such as semi-persistent / periodic SRS. If the collision happens, then UE will drop or postpone the SRS transmission and receive the SSB , CSI-RS, PRS, and TRS. In addition or alternatively, predefining that the downlink reference signals such as CSI-RS, PRS, and TRS have lower priority than the transmission of uplink reference signals such as a-periodic SRS. If the collision happens, then UE will transmit the SRS and drop the CSI-RS, PRS, and TRS receiving. In addition or alternatively, if CORESET collide with periodic / semi-persistent SRS, then SRS is dropped or postponed. If the CORESET collides with a-periodic SRS, then UE no need to monitoring PDCCH and transmit the a-periodic SRS. In addition or alternatively, if SPS PDSCH collides with the a-periodic SRS, then UE transmit the SRS and not receive the PDSCH. In addition or alternatively, if a PDSCH  transmission with a priority index 1 would overlap in time with an SRS transmission on UL subband in SBFD symbols, the UE does not transmit the SRS in the overlapping symbol (s) .

[0068] In this way, the collision between the reference signal transmission and the downlink transmission can be avoided.

[0069] Furthermore, in some cases, the SRS to be transmitted may cross neighboring SBFD time unit and non-SBFD time unit. In some embodiments, whether the SRS can be transmitted or received is depend on the frequency resources of the SRS resource set. In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 and the network device 120 may determine whether the set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit in the frequency domain. If the set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 may transmit the SRS across the SBFD time unit and the neighboring non-SBFD time unit. Accordingly, the network device 120 may receive the SRS across the SBFD time unit and the neighboring non-SBFD time unit. For discussion clarity, the above embodiment is further discussed with reference to Fig. 6.

[0070] Fig. 6 illustrates an example of an SRS transmission crossing an SBFD symbol and a non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0071] As shown in Fig. 6, the SRS transmissions may cross SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols if the configured SRS frequency resource is within the UL subband (for example, the SRS resource set 610) . And if the configured SRS frequency resource is not within the UL subband in SBFD symbols (for example, the SRS resource set 620) , then the terminal device 110 may drop this configured periodic / semi-persistent SRS transmission.

[0072] In the example of Fig. 6, the configured SRS symbols number is 6 and the starting symbol number is 3. When MAC-CE or DCI based indication is indicative that the starting symbol is symbol 0 and duration of the SBFD symbols is 7 symbols, the SRS can be transmitted only in the case that the SRS frequency resources are within the UL subband then. Otherwise, the SRS may be dropped. Alternatively, the above embodiment may be also expressed as below.

[0073] In this way, the SRS transmission may cross SBFD and non-SBFD symbols in one slot.

[0074] In addition, in some embodiments, the configured SRS transmission can be refrained and deferred. For example, an SRS is scheduled to transmit on an SBFD time unit. In some cases, the configured SRS may overlap with a frequency subband other than the uplink subband of the SBFD time unit. For example, the configured SRS may partially overlap with the guardband and / or the DL subband. In this case, the terminal device 110 may from transmitting the SRS on the SBFD time unit and defer a transmission of the SRS. For discussion clarity, the above embodiment is further discussed with reference to Fig. 7.

[0075] Fig. 7 illustrates a refrainment and deferment of a SRS transmission related to the SBFD slot according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0076] As shown in Fig. 7, if the SRS 710 overlaps with RBs outside UL subbands in the SBFD slot / symbol, the SRS transmission 710 may be postponed or deferred to the nearest available UL slot or flexible slot. In addition, SRS resource for transmitting the SRS in the nearest available UL slot or flexible slot is the same as this SBFD slot / symbols. Furthermore, the network device 120 may reserve this resource for the deferred SRS transmission. In other words, the configured periodic or semi-static SRS resource overlaps with the RB outside of UL subband in the SBFD slot, then this SRS is postponed to the next UL slot transmission, and the time and frequency resource is the same as in SBFD symbols. Alternatively, the above embodiment may be also expressed as below. In this way, the SRS transmission can be finely handled with respect to the SBFD time unit.

[0077] In some embodiments, the above first set of resources may be associated with a first  plurality of beams and the above first set of resources may be associated with a second plurality of beams. For example, the channel status may different among the SBFD time unit and the non-SBFD time unit. Therefore, the beam set configured in the first set of resources may be different from another beam set configured in the second set of resources. In addition, the first set of resources may be associated with a first reference signal or with a first identifier (ID) of the first reference signal. In turn, the second set of resources may be associated with a second reference signal or with a second ID of the second reference signal. For discussion clarity, the above embodiment is further discussed with reference to Fig. 8.

[0078] Fig. 8 illustrates an example of an association between an SRS resource set and a reference signal for a beam according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0079] As shown in Fig. 8, with respect to the SRS resource set, separate beam / spatial relation may be configured for SBFD time units and non-SBFD time units (for example, UL symbols) . In this way, the interference or SINR can be considered individually. In addition, the reference signal and / or the reference signal SSB / NZP-CSI-RS-Resource Id may be also different for the SBFD time units and the non-SBFD time units.

[0080] In an example, for SRS resource Id #1 in the SBFD time units, the reference signal may be SSB Index #3. In addition, for SRS resource Id #2 in the non-SBFD time units, the reference signal may be NZP-CSI-RS-Resource Id #6. In addition or alternatively, the beam direction for the SBFD time units and non-SBFD time units may be as illustrated in the Fig. 8.

[0081] Referring back to Fig. 2, the frequency hopping pattern for the SRS transmission in the SBFD time unit may be adjusted. In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may receive a frequency hopping indication for the SRS transmission from the network device 120. In some embodiments, in the SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 may transmit (205) the SRS to the network device 120 using a first frequency hopping pattern. In addition, in the non-SBFD time unit (for example, UL time unit) , the terminal device 110 may transmit (205) the SRS to the network device using a second frequency hopping pattern. Moreover, at least one of a starting position and frequency hopping step of the second frequency hopping pattern is different from the first frequency hopping pattern. For discussion clarity, the frequency hopping pattern for the SBFD time unit is further discussed with reference to Fig. 9.

[0082] Fig. 9 illustrates an example of a hopping pattern for the SRS transmission in the  SBFD time unit according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0083] As shown in Fig. 9, if the frequency hopping for SRS is enabled in SBFD units, then the starting frequency position and hopping bandwidth may be within the UL subband of the SBFD time units. For example, separate frequency hopping parameter, such as CSRS and bhop may be configured for the SBFD time units, wherein CSRS represents the frequency hopping pattern index and bhop represents frequency hopping RB number, bhop∈ {0, 1, 2, 3} . In addition, the hopping step configured from the network device 120 may be scaled for SBFD slot, and the scaling factor may be equal to (UL subband bandwidth)  /  (UL slot bandwidth) . In some embodiments, the hopping step configured from the network device 120 may be the hopping step in the second frequency pattern for the non-SBFD time units.

[0084] Alternatively, the terminal device 110 may transmit, in the SBFD time unit, the SRS to the network device without using frequency hopping. In an example, if the resources for the frequency hopping is outside the uplink subband of the SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 may assume that the inter / intra slot frequency hopping is not enabled on SBFD symbols even it is configured. In this case, the wideband SRS may be configured for SBFD symbols. Alternatively, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.

[0085] In addition, since the cross link interference (CLI) may occur in the SBFD time unit, the transmission power of the SRS in the SBFD time unit may be also adjusted. In some  embodiments, the terminal device 110 may receive a power control configuration indicating a first power control parameter for the SBFD time unit and a second power control parameter for the non-SBFD time unit. Specifically, a first maximum value of the first output power parameter (which is also referred to as the first power control parameter) is smaller than a second maximum value of the second output power parameter (which is also referred to as the second power control parameter) . In a specific example, different power control parameters may be configured for the SBFD symbols and the non-SBFD symbols. The maximum UE output power for SBFD or non-SBFD symbols may be separately configured. In addition, the maximum UE output power for SBFD may be smaller than the maximum UE output power for the non-SBFD symbols, in order to reduce the potential CLI.

[0086] Alternatively, a set of power control parameters may be configured, and some additional offset value is further configured for the SBFD time unit. For example, two alpha, P0, srs-PowerControlAdjustmentStates and pathlossReferenceRS may be configured in SRS-ResourceSet configuration, if SBFD time units and non-SBFD time units share one SRS Resourceset. If the SBFD time units and non-SBFD time units share different SRS Resourceset, then each SRS-Resourceset may include one set of transmission power control parameters. In addition or alternatively, the terminal device 110 may apply different transmission power to the same SRS on SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols if the SRS cross SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In this way, the CLI in the SBFD time units can be reduced.

[0087] In view of the above, by means of the example embodiments of the disclosure, the SRS resource configuration, SRS transmission and the associated channel transmission can be coordinated with the introduced SBFD time units.

[0088] Fig. 10 illustrates a flowchart of a method 1000 of communication implemented at a terminal device in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method 900 can be implemented at the terminal device 110 shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 1000 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It is to be understood that the method 1000 may include additional acts not shown and / or may omit some shown acts, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0089] At 1010, the terminal device 110 receives a resource indicator associated with an uplink channel from a network device. At 1020, based on a time unit for the uplink channel is an SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 transmits the uplink channel using a first  resource that is indicated in a first set of resources by the resource indicator. The SBFD time unit is configured with frequency subbands for different link directions. At 1030, based on the time unit is the non-SBFD time unit, the terminal device 110 transmits the uplink channel using a second resource that is indicated in a second set of resources by the resource indicator.

[0090] In some embodiments, at least one of the following: the resource indicator is a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) ; the first set of resources is a first set of sounding reference signal (SRS) resources configured for the SBFD time unit, and the first set of resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit in the frequency domain; the second set of resources is a second set of SRS resources configured for the non-SBFD time unit; or the uplink channel is a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) .

[0091] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further: receive, from the network device, configuration information that indicates the first set of SRS resources and the second set of SRS resources.

[0092] In some embodiments, the configuration information comprises one or more parameters that indicates the second set of SRS resources, and the configuration information further comprises at least one offset value, and the first set of SRS resources is indicated by the one or more parameters and the at least one offset value.

[0093] In some embodiments, the offset value is set to be zero in the case that the second set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit.

[0094] In some embodiments, the configuration information comprises first configuration information indicating the first set of SRS resources and second configuration information indicating the second set of SRS resources, separately.

[0095] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further transmit a plurality of SRS repetition transmissions using the first set of SRS resources and the second set of SRS resources.

[0096] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further transmit an SRS repetition transmission on an available slot.

[0097] In some embodiments, the available slot is determined by: determining, for a slot, whether one or more resources configured for the SRS repetition transmission in the slot are more than or equal to resources required for the SRS repetition transmission; and determining  the slot as the available slot based on determining that the one or more resources are more than or equal to resources required for the SRS repetition transmission, wherein the SRS repetition transmission in the available slot is counted as one time of an SRS repetition.

[0098] In some embodiments, the slot comprises an SBFD symbol and a non-SBFD symbol, and the resources configured for the SRS repetition transmission comprises a first set of SRS resources within an uplink subband of the SBFD symbol and a second set of SRS resources in the non-SBFD symbol.

[0099] In some embodiments, an SRS transmission of the terminal device collides with a downlink transmission, and wherein the terminal device 110 may further compare a first priority level of the SRS transmission and a second priority level of the downlink transmission; based on the comparison, i) transmit the SRS transmission to the network device, or ii) receive the DL transmission from the network device.

[0100] In some embodiments, at least one of: a priority level of aperiodic reference signal is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent reference signal; a priority level of preconfigured downlink reference signal is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent uplink reference signal; a priority level of aperiodic uplink reference signal is higher than a priority level of preconfigured downlink reference signal; a priority level of preconfigured downlink control channel is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent uplink reference signal; or a priority level of aperiodic uplink reference signal is higher than a priority level of preconfigured downlink control channel.

[0101] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further determine that an SRS to be transmitted crosses an SBFD time unit and a neighboring non-SBFD time unit; determine whether a set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit in the frequency domain; and based on the determining that the set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit, transmit the SRS across the SBFD time unit and the neighboring non-SBFD time unit.

[0102] In some embodiments, an SRS is configured to be transmitted on the SBFD time unit, and the terminal device 110 may further determine whether a set of SRS resources at least partially overlaps with a frequency subband other than the uplink subband of the SBFD time unit; and based on determining that the set of SRS resources at least partially overlaps with the frequency subband other than the uplink subband, refrain from transmitting the SRS on the SBFD time unit and defer a transmission of the SRS.

[0105] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further receive a frequency hopping indication for an SRS transmission.

[0106] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further transmit, in the SBFD time unit and using a first frequency hopping pattern, the SRS to the network device; and transmit, in the non-SBFD time unit and using a second frequency hopping pattern the SRS, to the network device, wherein at least one of a starting position and frequency hopping step of the second frequency hopping pattern is different from the first frequency hopping pattern.

[0107] In some embodiments, a first frequency hopping step of the first frequency hopping pattern is determined based on a scaling factor and a second frequency hopping step of the second frequency hopping pattern.

[0108] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further transmit, in the SBFD time unit, the SRS to the network device without using frequency hopping.

[0109] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may further receive a power control configuration indicating a first power control parameter for the SBFD time unit and a second power control parameter for the non-SBFD time unit, wherein a first maximum value of the first power control parameter is smaller than a second maximum value of the second power control parameter.

[0110] In some embodiments, the first resource comprises a first beam and wherein the second resource comprises a second beam.

[0111] Fig. 11 illustrates a flowchart of a method 1100 of communication implemented at a network device in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The method 1100 can be implemented at the network device 120 shown in Fig. 1. For the purpose of discussion, the method 1100 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. It is to be understood that the method 1100 may include additional acts not shown and / or may omit some shown acts, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0112] At 1110, the network device 120 transmits a resource indicator associated with an  uplink channel to a terminal device. At 1120, based on a time unit for the uplink channel is an SBFD time unit, the network device receives the uplink channel using a first resource that is indicated in a first set of resources by the resource indicator. The SBFD time unit is configured with frequency subbands for different link directions. At 1130, based on the time unit is the non-SBFD time unit, the network device receives the uplink channel using a second resource that is indicated in a second set of resources by the resource indicator.

[0113] In some embodiments, at least one of the following: the resource indicator is a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) ; the first set of resources is a first set of sounding reference signal (SRS) resources configured for the SBFD time unit, and the first set of resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit in the frequency domain; the second set of resources is a second set of SRS resources configured for the non-SBFD time unit; or the uplink channel is a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) .

[0114] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further transmit, to the terminal device, configuration information that indicates the first set of SRS resources and the second set of SRS resources.

[0115] In some embodiments, the configuration information comprises one or more parameters that indicates the second set of SRS resources, and the configuration information further comprises at least one offset value, and the first set of SRS resources is indicated by the one or more parameters and the at least one offset value.

[0116] In some embodiments, the offset value is set to be zero in the case that the second set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit.

[0117] In some embodiments, the configuration information comprises first configuration information indicating the first set of SRS resources and second configuration information indicating the second set of SRS resources, separately.

[0118] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further receive a plurality of SRS repetition transmissions using the first set of SRS resources and the second set of SRS resources.

[0119] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further transmit an SRS repetition transmission on an available slot.

[0120] In some embodiments, the available slot is determined by: determining, for a slot, whether one or more resources configured for the SRS repetition transmission in the slot are  more than or equal to resources required for the SRS repetition transmission; and determining the slot as the available slot based on determining that the one or more resources are more than or equal to resources required for the SRS repetition transmission, wherein the SRS repetition transmission in the available slot is counted as one time of an SRS repetition.

[0121] In some embodiments, the slot comprises an SBFD symbol and a non-SBFD symbol, and the resources configured for the SRS repetition transmission comprises a first set of SRS resources within an uplink subband of the SBFD symbol and a second set of SRS resources in the non-SBFD symbol.

[0122] In some embodiments, an SRS transmission of the terminal device collides with a downlink transmission, and the network device 120 may further compare a first priority level of the SRS transmission and a second priority level of the downlink transmission; based on the comparison, i) receive the SRS transmission from the terminal device, or ii) transmit the DL transmission to the terminal device.

[0123] In some embodiments, at least one of: a priority level of aperiodic reference signal is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent reference signal; a priority level of preconfigured downlink reference signal is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent uplink reference signal; a priority level of aperiodic uplink reference signal is higher than a priority level of preconfigured downlink reference signal; a priority level of preconfigured downlink control channel is higher than a priority level of periodic or semi-persistent uplink reference signal; or a priority level of aperiodic uplink reference signal is higher than a priority level of preconfigured downlink control channel.

[0124] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further determine that an SRS to be transmitted crosses an SBFD time unit and a neighboring non-SBFD time unit; determine whether a set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit in the frequency domain; and based on the determining that the set of SRS resources is within an uplink subband of the SBFD time unit, receive the SRS across the SBFD time unit and the neighboring non-SBFD time unit.

[0125] In some embodiments, an SRS is configured to be transmitted on the SBFD time unit, and the network device 120 may further determine whether a set of SRS resources at least partially overlaps with a frequency subband other than the uplink subband of the SBFD time unit; and based on determining that the set of SRS resources at least partially overlaps with the frequency subband other than the uplink subband, refrain from receiving the SRS  on the SBFD time unit and defer a reception of the SRS.

[0126] In some embodiments, the first set of resources is associated with a first plurality of beams and the second set of resources is associated with a second plurality of beams.

[0127] In some embodiments, the first set of resources is associated with a first reference signal or with a first identifier (ID) of the first reference signal, and the second set of resources is associated with a second reference signal or with a second ID of the second reference signal.

[0128] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further transmit a frequency hopping indication for an SRS transmission.

[0129] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further receive, in the SBFD time unit and using a first frequency hopping pattern, the SRS to the network device; and receive, in the non-SBFD time unit and using a second frequency hopping pattern the SRS to the network device, wherein at least one of a starting position and frequency hopping step of the second frequency hopping pattern is different from the first frequency hopping pattern.

[0130] In some embodiments, a first frequency hopping step of the first frequency hopping pattern is determined based on a scaling factor and a second frequency hopping step of the second frequency hopping pattern.

[0131] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further receive, in the SBFD time unit, the SRS from the terminal device without using frequency hopping.

[0132] In some embodiments, the network device 120 may further receive a power control configuration indicating a first power control parameter for the SBFD time unit and a second power control parameter for the non-SBFD time unit, wherein a first maximum value of the first power control parameter is smaller than a second maximum value of the second power control parameter.

[0133] In some embodiments, the first resource comprises a first beam and wherein the second resource comprises a second beam.
