Abstract
Description
Method and device for providing a page containing a product list
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a technique for providing a page including a product list.
[0002] Advances in electronic technology have enabled users to search for and purchase a wide variety of products online through their electronic devices. This allows users to conveniently search for and purchase products online without having to visit a physical shopping mall or market.
[0003] However, the number of products sold online has grown exponentially, making it difficult for users to search for and purchase desired products. Even within a specific category, countless products are available online. To find only the products users desire, they must specify specific and accurate search terms. Expressing product characteristics in text is challenging, and the potential for multiple expressions of product characteristics makes it challenging for users to specify and accurately search terms. Furthermore, not all users have a specific product in mind. For example, some users abstractly desire products in a specific category and rely on product images to make their purchase decisions. In such cases, presenting users with countless products in a specific category without any specific criteria will fail to encourage purchases.
[0004] Therefore, there is a need for a technology that can provide products that users want even if they do not set specific and accurate search terms.
[0005] The technical challenge to be solved by this disclosure is to provide a product desired by a user even without the user setting a specific and accurate search term.
[0006] Another technical challenge to be addressed by this disclosure is to determine a product list based on the user's purchase history, thereby providing more suitable products to the user.
[0007] Another technical challenge to be solved by the present disclosure is to determine the attributes of products purchased by other users based on their purchase history, determine a product list based on the attributes of products purchased by other users, and provide recently popular products to the users.
[0008] Another technical challenge to be addressed by this disclosure is to provide a list of products by utilizing not only product attributes but also user context information, thereby providing users with more accurate products they want.
[0009] Another technical challenge to be addressed by the present disclosure is to provide a technique for arranging each product included in a product list according to the number of common product attributes.
[0010] The technical problems of the present disclosure are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned can be clearly understood by a person skilled in the art of the present disclosure from the description of the specification.
[0011] According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, it is possible to provide a product desired by a user even if the user does not set a specific and accurate search term.

[0046] Figures 1a and 1b are drawings for explaining a page including a product list.
[0047] The first page (100) provides a first product list (120) in response to a user's product search request (110). The user's product search request (110) refers to text for searching for a specific product (illustrated as sneakers for ease of understanding), and the first product list (120) includes products searched in response to the product search request (110). A graphical user interface (GUI; 130) for similar product search requests is located within the image of each product in the first product list (120).
[0048] The second page (140) is a page displayed in response to a product search request similar to the first product (150), and includes a second product list (160). The attributes of each product (e.g., the second product (170)) included in the second product list may have at least one attribute in common with the attributes of the first product (150).
[0049] Figures 2a and 2b are diagrams illustrating a page including a product list. Specifically, Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating a page provided when a user selects the second product (170) in Figure 1.
[0050] The third page (200) includes specific product information about the second product (210). Furthermore, the third page (200) includes a graphical user interface (220) displayed within the product image of the second product (210). The electronic device can receive a product search request similar to the second product (210) through the graphical user interface (220).
[0051] The fourth page (230) is displayed in response to a product search request similar to the second product (210), and includes a third product list (240). Each product included in the third product list (240) may have at least one attribute in common with only the attributes of the second product (210). Thus, even if the user selects the second product (210) in FIG. 2 after selecting the first product (150) in FIG. 1, the electronic device only considers the attributes of the previously selected product when providing a new product list. If there are common attributes between the products selected by the user, the product with those attributes is more likely to be the product desired by the user. Therefore, providing a product list that only considers the attributes of the previously selected product cannot provide the user with more suitable products or the products desired by the user.
[0052] FIGS. 3A and 3B illustrate a flowchart illustrating a method performed by an electronic device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 3B illustrates operations that follow from FIG. 3A, and the individual operations illustrated in FIGS. 3A and 3B will be described in detail below.
[0053] An electronic device can receive a product search request from a user (S300). The product search request refers to a search term for searching for a specific product.
[0054] Based on a product search request, the electronic device can provide a first page including a first product list (S305). The first product list includes products searched in response to the product search request.
[0055] An electronic device may receive a user request to search for a product similar to the first product from a first product list (S310). The request to search for a product similar to the first product may be received via a graphical user interface (GUI) displayed in association with the product image of the first product. The GUI may be located within the image of the first product or beneath the image of the first product.
[0056] An electronic device may determine the attributes of the first product in response to a product search request similar to the first product (S315). A product attribute is a unique characteristic of the product and may include at least one of the following: product category, product color, product size, product price, product brand, product usage environment, the gender of the customer purchasing the product, or the age group of the customer purchasing the product. Among the product attributes, the product usage environment may refer to a suitable situation in which the product can be used. For example, products suitable for summer vacations, such as sandals and swimsuits, share the product usage environment attribute. Among the product attributes, the age group of the customer purchasing the product may refer to the age group of customers with the highest purchase rate for the product.
[0057] The electronic device can determine a second product list based on the attributes of the first product (S320). Each product included in the second product list may have at least one attribute in common with the attributes of the first product. For example, if the attributes of the first product are "sneakers," "white," "men's," and "260mm," the attributes of each product included in the second product list may be "sneakers," "black," "men's," and "275mm."
[0058] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device can obtain a user's purchase history related to a product search request. For example, if the product search request is for sneakers, the electronic device can obtain the user's sneaker purchase history. Based on the user's purchase history, the electronic device can determine the attributes of the products purchased by the user. The electronic device can then determine a second product list based on the attributes of the products purchased by the user. For example, if the attributes of the products purchased by the user are sneakers, black, men's, and 260mm, the attributes of each product included in the second product list may be sneakers, white, men's, and 260mm. In this way, determining the second product list based on the user's purchase history allows for more suitable products (e.g., product sizes) to be provided to the user.
[0059] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device can obtain the purchase history of another user who has purchased a product based on the same product search request as the user. For example, if the product search request is for sneakers, the purchase history of another user's sneakers can be obtained. In this case, the age range and gender of the user and the other user may be the same. The electronic device can determine the attributes of the products purchased by the other user based on the purchase history of the other user. The electronic device can determine a second product list based on the attributes of the products purchased by the other user. For example, if the attributes of the products purchased by the other user are sneakers, blue, men's, and 260mm, the attributes of each product included in the second product list may be sneakers, blue, men's, and 275mm. In this way, determining the second product list based on the purchase history of another user allows the user to be provided with recently popular products.
[0060] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device can obtain context information for each product included in a first product list. The context information for a product may indicate a user's preference for the product and may include information on a shopping cart product addition history or information on the time the user spends viewing the product information. For example, if a user has a history of adding a specific product to a shopping cart, the user may be assessed as having a high preference for that product. In another example, if the user spends a certain amount of time viewing information about a specific product, the user may also be assessed as having a high preference for that product. The electronic device can determine a second product list based on the context information for each product included in the first product list. In this way, providing a product list by utilizing not only product attributes but also user context information allows for more accurate presentation of the products desired by the user.
[0061] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the electronic device may determine the number of attributes of each product included in the second product list that are common to the attributes of the first product. Furthermore, the electronic device may arrange each product included in the second product list based on the number of common attributes. For example, among the products included in the second product list, the product with the greatest number of common attributes may be arranged in the upper left corner, where it is easily recognizable by the user.
[0062] The electronic device may provide a second page including a second product list (S325). According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second page may include a first user interface. In response to a selection of the first user interface to move the second page to the first page including the first product list, the electronic device may display a location where a search request for a product similar to the first product was received on the first page including the first product list. In this way, the user can return to the product location within the previous page through the first user interface, so that even if the user wishes to purchase a product within the previous page, the user can conveniently return without having to search again. In addition, the second page may be provided in the form of a pop-up window or a bottom page.
[0063] An electronic device may receive a user request to search for a product similar to the second product from a list of second products (S330). The request may be received via a graphical user interface (GUI) displayed in association with the product image of the second product. The GUI may be located within the image of the second product or beneath the image of the second product.
[0064] In response to a request to search for a product similar to the second product, the electronic device may determine at least one first common attribute between the attributes of the first product and the attributes of the second product (S335). For example, if the attributes of the first product are "sneakers, white, men's, 260mm" and the attributes of the second product are "sneakers, black, men's, 275mm," the first common attribute may be "sneakers, men's."
[0065] The electronic device may determine a third product list based on at least one first common attribute shared between the attributes of the first product and the attributes of the second product (S340). The attributes of each product included in the third product list may have at least one common attribute with the at least one first common attribute shared between the first and second products. For example, if the first common attribute is "sneakers, men's," the attributes of each product included in the third product list may be "sneakers, men's, white."
[0066] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device can obtain a user's purchase history related to a product search request. For example, if the product search request is for sneakers, the electronic device can obtain the user's purchase history of sneakers. Based on the user's purchase history, the electronic device can determine the attributes of the products purchased by the user. The electronic device can then determine a third product list based on the attributes of the products purchased by the user. For example, if the attributes of the products purchased by the user are sneakers, black, men's, and 260mm, the attributes of each product included in the third product list may be sneakers, white, men's, and 260mm. In this way, determining the third product list based on the user's purchase history allows for more suitable products (e.g., product sizes) to be provided to the user.
[0067] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device can obtain the purchase history of another user who has purchased a product based on the same product search request as the user. For example, if the product search request is for sneakers, the purchase history of another user's sneakers can be obtained. In this case, the age range and gender of the user and the other user may be the same. The electronic device can determine the attributes of the products purchased by the other user based on the purchase history of the other user. The electronic device can determine a third product list based on the attributes of the products purchased by the other user. For example, if the attributes of the products purchased by the other user are sneakers, blue, men's, and 260mm, the attributes of each product included in the third product list may be sneakers, blue, men's, and 275mm. In this way, determining the third product list based on the purchase history of another user allows the user to be provided with recently popular products.
[0068] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device may obtain context information for each product included in a first product list and / or a second product list. The context information for a product may indicate a user's preference for the product and may include information on a shopping cart product addition history or information on the time the user spends viewing the product information. For example, if a user has a history of adding a specific product to a shopping cart, the user may be assessed as having a high preference for the specific product. In another example, if the user spends a certain amount of time viewing information about a specific product, the user may also be assessed as having a high preference for the specific product. The electronic device may determine a third product list based on the context information for each product included in the first product list and / or the second product list. In this way, by providing a product list that utilizes not only product attributes but also user context information, the user's desired products can be more accurately presented.
[0069] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the electronic device may determine the number of attributes shared with at least one first common attribute among the attributes of each product included in the third product list. Furthermore, the electronic device may arrange each product included in the third product list based on the number of common attributes. For example, among the products included in the third product list, the product with the greatest number of common attributes may be arranged in the upper left corner, where it can be easily recognized by the user.
[0070] In another embodiment of the present disclosure, if there are no products included in the third product list, the electronic device may provide a fourth page including guidance information indicating that there are no similar products. That is, if the number of attributes common to the first common attribute is 0, the electronic device may provide a fourth page including guidance information indicating that there are no similar products.
[0071] In another embodiment of the present disclosure, if there are no products included in the third product list, the electronic device may determine a fourth product list based on the attributes of the first product and the attributes of the second product. The attributes of each product included in the fourth product list may have at least one attribute in common with the attributes of the first product and at least one attribute in common with the attributes of the second product. For example, if the attributes of the first product are sneakers, white, summer, 260mm and the attributes of the second product are sneakers, black, winter, 275mm, the attributes of each product included in the fourth product list may be shoes, white, winter, 280mm. In this way, if there are no products included in the third product list, i.e., if the number of attributes in common with the first common attribute is 0, the electronic device attempts to present a wider variety of products to the user so as to more accurately provide the product the user wants.
[0072] The electronic device may provide a third page including a third product list (S345). According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the third page may include a second user interface. In response to a selection of the second user interface to move the third page to a second page including a second product list, the electronic device may display the location where a search request for a product similar to the second product was received on the second page including the second product list. In this way, the user can return to the product location within the previous page through the second user interface, thereby allowing the user to conveniently return to the previous page without having to search again if they wish to purchase a product within the previous page. Furthermore, the third page may be provided in the form of a pop-up window or a bottom page. As described above, the attributes of each product included in the third product list have at least one first common attribute and at least one common attribute between the first and second products. Therefore, even if not expressed as a specific search term, the electronic device can determine the similarity between products desired by the user while receiving multiple similar product search request inputs, thereby providing the user with the desired product more accurately.
[0073] FIG. 4A and FIG. 4B are diagrams illustrating a page including a product list according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0074] The first page (400) provides a first product list (420) in response to a user's product search request (410). The user's product search request (410) refers to text for searching for a specific product (illustrated as a dress for ease of understanding, but not limited thereto), and the first product list (420) includes products searched in response to the product search request (410). A search request for products similar to the first product may be received through a graphical user interface (430) displayed in association with a product image of the first product.
