[0014] 1. Hardware Configuration This section explains the hardware configuration.
[0015] 1.1 Information Processing System 1 FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram showing an information processing system 1 according to this embodiment. The information processing system 1 includes an information processing device 2, a service provider terminal 3, and a user terminal 4, which are connected via a general-purpose or dedicated communication network 11. Here, the system exemplified as the information processing system 1 is made up of one or more devices or components. Therefore, even the information processing device 2 alone is included in the system exemplified as the information processing system 1. Each component included in the information processing system 1 will be further described below.
[0016] 2 is a block diagram showing the hardware configuration of the information processing device 2. The information processing device 2 has a communication unit 21, a storage unit 22, and a control unit 23, and these components are electrically connected via a communication bus 20 inside the information processing device 2. Each component will be further described.
[0017] The communication unit 21 is preferably a wired communication means such as USB, IEEE 1394, Thunderbolt (registered trademark), or wired LAN network communication, but may also include wireless LAN network communication, mobile communication such as 3G / LTE / 5G, Bluetooth (registered trademark), or the like, as needed. That is, it is more preferable to implement it as a collection of multiple communication means. That is, the information processing device 2 may communicate various information from the outside via the communication unit 21 and the communication network 11.
[0018] The memory unit 22 stores various pieces of information defined above. This can be implemented, for example, as a storage device such as a solid state drive (SSD) that stores various programs and the like related to the information processing device 2 executed by the control unit 23, or as a memory such as a random access memory (RAM) that stores temporarily required information (arguments, arrays, etc.) related to program calculations. The memory unit 22 stores various programs, variables, etc. related to the information processing device 2 executed by the control unit 23.
[0019] The control unit 23 processes and controls the overall operation related to the information processing device 2. The control unit 23 is, for example, a central processing unit (CPU) (not shown). The control unit 23 realizes various functions related to the information processing device 2 by reading out predetermined programs stored in the storage unit 22. That is, information processing by software stored in the storage unit 22 is specifically realized by the control unit 23, which is an example of hardware, and can be executed as each functional unit included in the control unit 23. These will be described in further detail in the next section. Note that the control unit 23 is not limited to being a single unit, and multiple control units 23 may be provided for each function. A combination of these units may also be used. That is, the control unit 23 is an example of a processor capable of executing programs that execute each step described below.
[0020] 1.3 Service Provider Terminal 3 FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the hardware configuration of the service provider terminal 3. The service provider terminal 3 is a terminal operated by a service provider. Here, a "service provider" refers to a party that provides services aimed at healthcare, such as maintaining and improving health and preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases (hereinafter referred to as "healthcare services" or simply "services"). For example, this refers to a healthcare provider, a care institution, a medical institution, etc. The service provider terminal 3 may be in any form, such as a smartphone, a tablet terminal, a computer, or any other device that can access the information processing device 2 via a telecommunications line. Specifically, the service provider terminal 3 includes a communication unit 31, a memory unit 32, a control unit 33, a display unit 34, and an input unit 35. These components are electrically connected within the service provider terminal 3 via a communication bus 30. The communication unit 31, the memory unit 32, and the control unit 33 will not be described here because they are similar to the respective components of the information processing device 2.
[0021] The display unit 34 may be, for example, included in the housing of the service provider terminal 3 or may be externally attached. The display unit 34 displays a graphical user interface (GUI) screen that can be operated by the user. This is preferably implemented by using display devices such as a CRT display, a liquid crystal display, an organic EL display, a plasma display, or the like, which are selected depending on the type of the service provider terminal 3.
[0022] The input unit 35 may be included in the housing of the service provider terminal 3 or may be externally attached. For example, the input unit 35 may be implemented as a touch panel integrated with the display unit 34. A touch panel allows the user to input tapping, swiping, and the like. Of course, a switch button, a mouse, a QWERTY keyboard, or the like may be used instead of a touch panel. That is, the input unit 35 accepts an operation input made by the user. The input is transferred as a command signal to the control unit 33 via the communication bus 30, and the control unit 33 can execute predetermined control or calculation as necessary.
[0023] 1.4 User Terminal 4 Figure 4 is a block diagram showing the hardware configuration of the user terminal 4. The user terminal 4 is used by a user who receives healthcare services. The user terminal 4 includes a communication unit 41, a storage unit 42, a control unit 43, a display unit 44, an input unit 45, and a sensor 46, and these components are electrically connected via a communication bus 40 inside the user terminal 4. Descriptions of the communication unit 41, storage unit 42, control unit 43, display unit 44, and input unit 45 will be omitted because they are substantially the same as the communication unit 31, storage unit 32, control unit 33, display unit 34, and input unit 35 in the service provider terminal 3.
[0024] The sensor 46 is configured to acquire health-related biometric information (hereinafter simply referred to as "biometric information") and may be included in the housing of the user terminal 4 or may be externally attached. Examples of health-related biometric information include heart rate, pulse, blood pressure, body temperature, sweating, electrical skin resistance, electrocardiogram, electromyogram, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), blood glucose level, respiration, heart sounds, lung sounds, pupil dilation, vitality, respiratory patterns, and facial color. Various sensors may be used as the sensor 46 as appropriate to correspond to the biometric information to be acquired. Specifically, for example, the sensor 46 may include a microphone (a broadly defined audio sensor), a camera (a broadly defined vision sensor), a temperature sensor, an infrared sensor, a pressure sensor, a photoelectric sensor, a color sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, a displacement sensor, an SpO2 sensor, a biosensor (for measuring blood glucose levels, etc.), an electrical conductivity sensor, or the like. Alternatively, multiple sensors of the same type or different types may be used in combination.
[0025] 2. Functional Configuration This section describes the functional configuration of this embodiment. As described above, information processing by software stored in the storage unit 22 is specifically realized by the control unit 23, which is an example of hardware, and each functional unit included in the control unit 23 can be executed.
[0026] 5 is a functional block diagram showing functions of the information processing system 1 according to this embodiment. Specifically, the information processing device 2, which is an example of the information processing system 1, includes a receiving unit 231, an acquiring unit 232, a creating unit 233, a calculating unit 234, a notifying unit 235, and a display control unit 236.
[0027] The reception unit 231 is configured to receive various types of information as a reception step. For example, the reception unit 231 receives user account information, data, input from the user, and the like from the storage unit 22, or from the input unit 35 of the service provider terminal 3, the input unit 45 of the user terminal 4, or other external devices via the communication network 11. In this embodiment, the various types of information received by the reception unit 231 will be described as being stored in the storage unit 22.
[0028] The acquisition unit 232 is configured to acquire various pieces of information as an acquisition step. For example, the acquisition unit 232 acquires first information from a first user (an example of a user) who has at least one chronic illness. The first information is biological information related to the health of the first user acquired through the acquisition step. Hereinafter, the "first information" will also be simply referred to as "biological information." In addition, in this embodiment, the various pieces of information acquired by the acquisition unit 232 will be described as being stored in the storage unit 22. Details will be described later.
[0029] The creation unit 233 is configured to create corrected information by correcting any information as a creation step. For example, the creation unit 233 creates corrected biometric information by correcting the value of the biometric information acquired by the acquisition unit 232. Details will be described later.
[0030] The calculation unit 234 is configured to execute various information processing calculations related to the information processing device 2. Details will be described later.
[0031] The notification unit 235 is configured to notify the user of various information as a first notification step or a second notification step. For example, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of first notification information or second notification information. Details will be described later.
[0032] The display control unit 236 is configured to execute various display processes. For example, the display control unit 236 controls the display of visually recognizable information such as screens, images including still images or moving images, icons, messages, etc. on the display unit 34 of the service provider terminal 3 or the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4. The display control unit 236 may generate only rendering information for displaying visually recognizable information on the display unit 34 of the service provider terminal 3 or the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4. Details will be described later.
[0033] 3. Information Processing Method In this section, an information processing method of the information processing system 1 described above will be described.
[0034] 3.1 Overview of Information Processing FIG. 6 is an activity diagram showing an example of the flow of processing executed by the information processing system 1. Below, the flow of information processing will be outlined with reference to this activity diagram. As an example, the following will explain a case where a patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a user (hereinafter, the user will be referred to as "user A") and user A receives healthcare services from a service provider. In other words, user A is a first user who has at least one chronic illness.
[0035] First, user A uses a browser on the user terminal 4 to access the URL of the healthcare service provided by the information processing system 1. Note that the service provided by the information processing system 1 may be provided by a dedicated mobile application. In this case, user A launches the application. In response, the display control unit 236 displays a login screen (not shown) on the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4. Then, the reception unit 231 receives input of login information (e.g., a click operation, a tap operation, a swipe operation, a selection operation, etc.) by user A's operation via the login screen. When the login is complete, the display control unit 236 controls the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4 to display the top screen (not shown) (activity A001).
[0036] Next, the reception unit 231 receives an input from user A via the Top screen to select either "Register / Confirm / Change User Information" or "Health Status Check." If user information registration is not complete, the display control unit 236 may control the display of the Top screen in a manner that does not allow the user to select "Health Status Check." This allows the user to visually understand that they need to complete the registration of their user information. Below, the case where an input is made to select "Register / Confirm / Change User Information" will be described first.
[0037] Upon selecting "Register / Confirm / Change User Information," the display control unit 236 controls the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4 to display a setting screen (not shown) for entering user information. Then, the acquisition unit 232 acquires user information about user A through user A's operation via the setting screen (activity A002). User information refers to information related to the user's health, such as age, gender, weight, height, chronic illnesses, past illnesses, and past biometric information. In the following description, it is assumed that the acquired user information for user A is: age 80, male, weight 38.5 kg, height 160 cm, chronic chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (CHPD), no past illnesses, blood oxygen saturation 94%, and a doctor's diagnosis. The blood oxygen saturation value of 94% was previously measured at a medical institution. The doctor's diagnosis includes a recommendation that the blood oxygen saturation value of 94% does not require immediate treatment and that the patient should be monitored.
[0038] The calculation unit 234 executes a process to register user information of user A. The user information of user A is registered in association with user A. Furthermore, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to set a reference value based on user A's user information (activity A003). In this case, the reference value is a value that is set corresponding to a chronic illness and that can distinguish health conditions. Furthermore, the reference value may be set to multiple reference values to finely distinguish health conditions. That is, the reference value may include a first reference value and a second reference value. As a result, the health conditions include a first health condition that is distinguished when the first reference value is satisfied, a second health condition that is distinguished when the first reference value is not satisfied, and a third health condition that is distinguished when the second reference value is not satisfied. As a specific example, for user A, a reference value for blood oxygen saturation is set to correspond to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Specifically, as the reference value for blood oxygen saturation, the first reference value is set to "93%" and the second reference value is set to "90%." In this case, the standard value, abnormal value, and value in the user information for blood oxygen saturation are referenced to the reference value. The referenced values are as follows: The standard value is a value of "96 to 99%," which is the general range for a healthy person without any chronic illnesses. The abnormal value is a value of "less than 90%, which is said to correspond to a state of respiratory failure (abnormal state). The value in the user information is a value of "94%," which is a value previously measured by User A at a nursing care facility or medical institution. In other words, the first and second standard values are set to values lower than the standard value and higher than the abnormal value. The health conditions are classified as follows: First, if the first standard value of "93%" is met, i.e., if the value is "93% or higher," the health condition is classified as the first health condition. Next, if the first standard value of "93%" is not met, i.e., if the value is "less than 93%" and "90% or higher," the health condition is classified as the second health condition. Furthermore, if the health status is outside the second standard value of "90%," i.e., if it is "less than 90%, " the health status is classified as the third health status. In other words, the first to third health statuses are configured to be distinguishable from normal to abnormal conditions. The reference value may also be set based on second information measured at a care facility or a medical institution. According to this aspect, a more precise reference value can be set. Here, the second information is biometric information related to the user's health (hereinafter, "second information" may also be simply referred to as "biometric information"). For example, the second information is user information about user A. As another example, the second information does not need to include user information about user A. Specifically, the second information may be, for example, information that is a normal or abnormal value measured at a care facility or a medical institution, or may be user information about another user who has the same chronic illness as user A. In other words, the second information is biometric information related to the health of at least one second user. In this case, the second user may include the first user (for example, user A), or may not include the first user. According to this aspect, the reference value can be set according to the user's situation.
[0039] Next, a case where user A operates the top screen to select "Health Status Check" will be described. When the user operates the top screen to select "Health Status Check," the display control unit 236 displays an information acquisition screen (not shown) for acquiring health-related biological information. Then, the acquisition unit 232 acquires health-related biological information in response to user A's operation via the information acquisition screen (activity A004). In other words, in the acquisition step, the acquisition unit 232 acquires first information from user A (an example of a first user) who has at least one chronic illness (e.g., chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). The first information is biological information related to the health of user A (an example of a first user) acquired through the acquisition step. Below, a case where at least blood oxygen saturation is acquired as biological information will be described.
[0040] Next, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether the biometric information acquired in activity A004 satisfies a correction condition (activity A005). The correction condition is a condition for performing an arbitrary correction on the biometric information, such as when noise is detected in time-series signal data or when a signal strength weak or strong relative to a predetermined level is detected. Specifically, for example, when time-series signal data (an example of biometric information) contains high-frequency noise exceeding a predetermined level or when the signal strength is weaker than a predetermined value, the data is determined to satisfy the correction condition. If the correction condition is satisfied, the creation unit 233 performs correction (filtering) on the biometric information to remove or reduce high-frequency noise, corrects the signal strength to an appropriate level, or otherwise creates corrected biometric information (activity A006). That is, in the creation step, the creation unit 233 creates corrected biometric information by performing correction according to the value characteristics of the first information, which is biometric information. The value characteristics are at least one of the presence or absence of noise and the value strength. According to this aspect, when the measurement value contains noise or when the sound pressure is low, the biological information can be corrected.
[0041] If the correction condition is not met, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to classify the health state based on the biometric information and a preset reference value (activity A007). On the other hand, if the correction condition is met, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to classify the health state based on the corrected biometric information and a preset reference value (activity A008). Specifically, for example, if the blood oxygen saturation (an example of biometric information and corrected biometric information) is 94%, the health state is classified as the first health state because it satisfies the first reference value of "93%," i.e., "93% or greater." If the blood oxygen saturation is 92%, the health state is classified as the second health state because it falls outside the first reference value of "93%," i.e., "less than 93%" and "90% or greater." If the blood oxygen saturation is 89%, the health state is classified as the third health state because it falls outside the second reference value of "90%," i.e., "less than 90%."
[0042] Next, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether the health state is the third health state (activity A009). If the health state is the third health state, the notification unit 235 notifies user A and a notification destination other than user A (for example, at least one of a medical institution, a care institution, and a family member) of the first notification information (activity A010). In response, the display control unit 236 displays a screen (not shown) indicating the first notification information on the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4 and the display unit 34 of the service provider terminal 3. If the health state is not the third health state, that is, if the health state is the first health state or the second health state, the notification unit 235 notifies user A of the first notification information (activity A011). In response, the display control unit 236 displays a screen (not shown) indicating the first notification information on the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4. That is, in the first notification step, the notification unit 235 notifies the first notification information regarding the first user's health state based on the first information and a preset reference value. Furthermore, as a first notification step, when the health condition is classified as a third health condition, the notification unit 235 notifies at least one of a medical institution, a care institution, and a family member (an example of a notification destination other than the user) of the first notification information. According to this aspect, it is possible to notify a notification destination other than the user depending on the user's health condition.
[0043] The content of the first notification information may include any one of the suggestions of "home treatment," "visit a medical institution," and "emergency response." Specifically, for example, if the health status is distinguished from the first health status, the content of the first notification information may include a suggestion of "home treatment." If the health status is distinguished from the second health status, the content of the first notification information may include a suggestion of "visit a medical institution." If the health status is distinguished from the third health status, the content of the first notification information may include a suggestion of "emergency response." In other words, the health statuses from the first health status to the third health status are distinguished so as to correspond to "home treatment," "visit a medical institution," and "emergency response." Note that "home treatment" is a suggestion recommending treatment at home, such as monitoring the progress, observing the condition, lying down, taking deep breaths, or taking prescribed medication. "Visit a medical institution" refers to a recommendation to visit a medical institution, such as visiting a hospital, requesting a visit from a visiting doctor or visiting nurse, using a new house call service, consulting the Emergency Relief Center (#7119), or receiving online medical care. "Emergency response" refers to taking emergency measures, such as calling an ambulance or contacting family. That is, in the first notification step, when the health status is classified as the third health status, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of first notification information with a higher level of urgency than when the health status is classified as the first or second health status. According to this aspect, the user's health status can be determined based on multiple criteria.
[0044] Next, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether or not there is a question item for user A based on the content of the first notification information (activity A012). Specifically, for example, if the content of the first notification information includes a suggestion of follow-up observation as "home treatment," the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine that there is no question item. Then, the process proceeds to activity A017. Furthermore, if the content of the first notification information includes a suggestion of "visit a medical institution" including multiple options, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine that there is a question item. Below, a case will be described in which it is determined that there is a question item because the content of the first notification information includes a suggestion of "visit a medical institution" including multiple options.
[0045] If it is determined that there is a question item, the notification unit 235 notifies user A of a predetermined question (activity A013). In response, the display control unit 236 causes the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4 to display a screen (not shown) displaying the predetermined question. The predetermined question is a question necessary for notifying the user of the second notification information, such as a question about the usage of home welfare medical services (hereinafter also referred to as "home medical services") and a question about the user's health condition. In detail, for example, a question about the usage of home medical services may be, "Do you have a home medical service that you regularly use?" The questions about the user's health condition include questions related to chronic illnesses and questions based solely on biometric information, regardless of the chronic illness. Questions related to chronic illnesses include questions related to chronic illnesses such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease, or brain disease, such as, "Are you experiencing shortness of breath?", "Do you have a lot of cough or phlegm?", "Do you have swelling?", "Do you have hand tremors?", and "Do you have numbness?" Questions based solely on biometric information, regardless of the chronic illness, may be questions about an abnormal heart rate, for example, for a user without heart failure. That is, the predetermined question includes a question related to the user's chronic illness. According to this aspect, it is possible to ask a question that takes the chronic illness into consideration. Furthermore, the predetermined question may be a question generated based on input of at least one of biometric information, information on a chronic illness, and the first notification information into a large-scale language model as a prompt. In other words, the predetermined question is a question generated based on at least one of the first information, information on a chronic illness, and the first notification information, and the large-scale language model. According to this aspect, it is possible to ask a more appropriate question by inputting various information and using the large-scale language model. Note that details of the second notification information will be described later.
[0046] The receiving unit 231 then receives an answer to the predetermined question through user A's operation via a screen displaying the predetermined question (activity A014). That is, as a receiving step, the receiving unit 231 receives an answer to the predetermined question regarding the health condition from user A. Next, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether there are any additional questions for user A based on the received answer (activity A015). If there are any additional questions, the process returns to activity A013, and activities A014 and A015 are repeated. If there are no additional questions, the process proceeds to activity A016.
[0047] The notification unit 235 notifies user A of second notification information regarding user A's health condition based on the answer to the predetermined question (activity A016). That is, as a second notification step, the notification unit 235 notifies second notification information according to the content of the answer. According to this aspect, more appropriate notification information can be notified by taking into account the answer to the predetermined question. Note that the second notification information may notify more specific content, suggestions, or instructions regarding user A's health condition than the first notification information. For example, if user A answers "I have tremors in my hands," the answer information may be notified as second notification information to inform the user A when visiting a medical institution.
[0048] Furthermore, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether a reference value update condition is met based on at least one of the first notification information and the second notification information (activity A017). If the update condition is met, the calculation unit 234 updates the reference value set for user A (activity A018). If the update condition is not met, the process ends. The update condition is a condition for updating the reference value, and the condition is that there is a discrepancy between the health condition classified in activity A007 or A008 and the content of the second notification information, and that this discrepancy occurs at a predetermined frequency. Specifically, for example, the update condition is met in the following cases: First, the health condition is classified as the second health condition. Next, user A receives an online medical consultation based on a recommendation to "visit a medical institution." Then, the results of the online medical consultation indicate that the condition does not require immediate treatment but rather that a course of observation is recommended. In other words, user A first receives a recommendation to "visit a medical institution," but then the recommendation is changed to "recuperation at home." In other words, there is a discrepancy between the classified health condition and the content of the second notification information. If such a deviation occurs twice, the update condition is met, and the calculation unit 234 updates the reference value. Whether or not a deviation has occurred may be determined based on input by user A or data received from a medical institution, etc. When the reference value is updated, the health state is classified as the first health state, rather than the second health state, even if the biometric information (or corrected biometric information) remains the same as before the update. As described above, when the reference value update condition is met by executing the processes of activities A004 to A016, the reference value set in activity A003 is updated in activity A018. That is, the acquisition unit 232 performs the acquisition step multiple times. The reference value is set based on second information measured at a nursing care facility or a medical institution, and the setting is further updated based on multiple pieces of first information acquired through multiple acquisition steps. The second information is biometric information related to the health of at least one second user. In this case, the second user may include the first user (user A, for example), or may not include the first user.According to this aspect, the setting can be updated from a more precise reference value to a reference value that is optimal for the user.
[0049] To summarize the above, the information processing method executed by the information processing system 1 includes the following steps: In the acquisition step, first information is acquired from a first user who has at least one chronic illness. The first information is biometric information related to the health of the first user acquired through the acquisition step. In the first notification step, first notification information related to the health condition of the first user is notified based on the first information and a preset reference value. The reference value is a value that is set corresponding to the chronic illness and can distinguish health conditions. Furthermore, the program according to this embodiment causes at least one computer to execute each step of the information processing system 1. According to this aspect, a novel technology can be provided.
[0050] 3.2 Details of Information Processing The details of the information processing outlined above will be explained using figures.
[0051] <Processing Regarding a Predetermined Question When "Home Treatment" is Suggested> FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing an example of the flow of processing regarding a predetermined question. The flowchart shown in FIG. 7 shows information processing executed by the information processing system 1 when "home treatment" is suggested in the first notification information. That is, the information processing shown in FIG. 7 is premised on the fact that the notification unit 235 has notified the user of the first notification information including the suggestion of "home treatment." Furthermore, the calculation unit 234 executes processing when there is a question item for the user. Under this premise, a case where processing regarding a predetermined question is performed for the user will be described below.
[0052] First, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of the question, "Have you taken any previously prescribed medication?" (an example of a predetermined question). In response, the display control unit 236 displays a screen (not shown) displaying the predetermined question on the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4. The reception unit 231 receives an answer to the predetermined question through a user operation via the screen displaying the predetermined question. Then, the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether or not the user has previously been prescribed medication based on the received answer (step S101). Note that the calculation unit 234 may execute a process of determining whether or not information about the user's prescription medication is pre-registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2. In other words, instead of querying the user, the calculation unit 234 may perform a mechanical determination in the background based on pre-stored information. Then, if there is no pre-stored information, i.e., if the calculation unit 234 determines that information about the user's prescription medication is not registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2, the notification unit 235 may notify the user of the question. Note that the explanation of the control by the display control unit 236 and the reception of answers to predetermined questions by the reception unit 231 in steps S102 and S104 described below is omitted because it is substantially the same as the explanation of step S101.
[0053] If it is determined in step S101 that "the user has been prescribed a drug previously," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of the question, "Are the current symptoms within the scope of treatment with the existing prescription drug?" (an example of a predetermined question). Then, the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether the current symptoms are within the scope of treatment with the existing prescription drug based on the answer received by the reception unit 231 (step S102). Note that, if information about the user's prescription drug is pre-registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2, the calculation unit 234 may execute a process of determining whether the current symptoms are within the scope of treatment with the prescription drug. In other words, instead of querying the user, the calculation unit 234 may execute a mechanical determination in the background based on pre-stored information. In addition, if there is no pre-stored information, i.e., if the calculation unit 234 determines that the user's prescription drug information is not registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2, the notification unit 235 may notify the user of the question.
[0054] If it is determined in step S102 that the current symptoms are treatable with existing prescription medication, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of a recommendation to take the prescription medication they already own, provided that the prescription medication's usage and dosage are followed (step S103). In other words, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of medication information when the health condition is classified as the second health condition, as a first notification step. According to this aspect, it is possible to suggest to the user that they take prescribed medication. The user may be asked about the most recent time they took medication and be suggested to take the prescribed medication if it is within a predetermined interval. Prescription medications may be pre-registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2. In this case, prescription medication information is registered as user information. That is, the acquisition unit 232 acquires information about medications prescribed to the first user in the acquisition step. The medication information may include not only prescription medication information but also information about home medical care, such as home oxygen therapy. In this case, the notification unit 235 notifies the user that home medical care is recommended, instead of notifying the user that prescription medication is recommended. Also, instead of querying the user, the notification unit 235 may make a mechanical determination in the background based on pre-stored information.
[0055] If it is determined in step S101 that "there is no previously prescribed medication" or if it is determined in step S102 that "the current symptoms are not within the range of treatment with existing prescription medications," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of the question "Do you need symptom relief?" (an example of a predetermined question). Then, the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether or not the user needs symptom relief based on the answer received by the reception unit 231 (step S104).
[0056] If it is determined in step S104 that "the user needs symptom relief," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of a recommendation for an OTC drug (step S105). Note that an OTC drug is a medicine that can be purchased without a prescription at a pharmacy, drugstore, etc. In this case, the recommendation may include a recommendation to seek advice from a pharmacist or other expert regarding the purchase and use of the OTC drug.
[0057] If it is determined in step S104 that the user does not need symptom relief, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of a suggestion to monitor the current symptoms (step S106). Note that monitoring the symptoms means observing the progress of the symptoms for a given period of time without taking any proactive measures such as treatment.
[0058] According to this flow, processing is performed regarding a predetermined question when a suggestion including "home treatment" is made in the first notification information.
[0059] <Processing Related to the Suggestion to "Visit a Medical Institution"> Fig. 8 is a flowchart showing an example of the flow of processing related to a predetermined question. The flowchart shown in Fig. 8 shows information processing executed by the information processing system 1 when a "visit a medical institution" is suggested in the first notification information. That is, the information processing shown in Fig. 8 is premised on the fact that the notification unit 235 has notified the user of the first notification information including the suggestion to "visit a medical institution." Furthermore, the calculation unit 234 executes processing when there is a question item for the user. Under this premise, a case where processing related to a predetermined question is performed on the user will be described below.
[0060] First, the notification unit 235 notifies the user of the question, "Do you have a home medical service that you regularly use?" (an example of a predetermined question). In response, the display control unit 236 causes the display unit 44 of the user terminal 4 to display a screen (not shown) displaying the predetermined question. The reception unit 231 receives an answer to the predetermined question through a user operation via the screen displaying the predetermined question. Then, the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether or not there is a home medical service that the user regularly uses, based on the received answer (step S201). Note that the calculation unit 234 may execute a process of determining whether or not information about the home medical service that the user regularly uses is pre-registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2. In other words, instead of querying the user, the calculation unit 234 may execute a mechanical determination in the background based on pre-stored information. Then, if there is no pre-stored information, i.e., if the calculation unit 234 determines that information about the home medical service that the user regularly uses is not registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2, the notification unit 235 may notify the user of the question. The control by the display control unit 236 and the reception of answers to predetermined questions by the reception unit 231 in steps S202 and S206 described below are substantially the same as the description of step S201, and therefore will not be described here.
[0061] If it is determined in step S201 that "there is a home medical service that the user regularly uses," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of a question (an example of a predetermined question) for specifically identifying the home medical service. In this case, the question may be a question that explicitly indicates the provider name, service name, etc., of the home medical service that the user regularly uses, prompting the user to identify the service. Furthermore, if the user uses multiple home medical services, a question may be adopted that displays a list of the home medical services to the user and prompts the user to select one home medical service. Then, based on the response received by the reception unit 231, the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether the home medical service is available for a visit (step S202). The available times for the home medical service may be pre-stored for each home medical service in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2.
[0062] If it is determined in step S202 that "it is a time when a home medical service can provide a visit," the notification unit 235 notifies the user that it is recommended to request a visit from a visiting physician or a visiting nurse (step S203). Note that the user may be able to arbitrarily select whether the visitor is a visiting physician or a visiting nurse, or the calculation unit 234 may execute a process of individually determining whether the visitor is a visiting physician or a visiting nurse based on information such as the user's biometric information.
[0063] If it is determined in step S201 that "there is no home medical service that the user normally uses" or if it is determined in step S202 that "it is not the time when the home medical service can provide a visit," the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether the user's preset IT literacy level satisfies a predetermined level (step S204). "Satisfying the predetermined level of IT literacy" means that the user can operate a terminal or the like to execute any function, for example, the user can operate the user terminal 4 to receive online medical care.
[0064] If it is determined in step S204 that the "IT literacy meets the predetermined level," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of a suggestion to receive online medical care (step S205). Note that online medical care is performed by communicating various information between the service provider terminal 3 and the user terminal 4 via the communication network 11.
[0065] If it is determined in step S204 that "IT literacy does not satisfy the predetermined level," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of the question "Are you able to move around by yourself?" (an example of a predetermined question). Then, the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether the user can move around by himself or herself based on the answer received by the reception unit 231 (step S206).
[0066] If it is determined in step S206 that "the user can move by himself / herself," the calculation unit 234 executes a process of determining whether or not it is a time when regular medical treatment is available at a nearby medical institution, based on the current time and the regular consultation hours of the nearby medical institution registered in advance (step S207). Note that at least one or more medical institutions are registered in advance as nearby medical institutions in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2. The regular consultation hours of the medical institution are registered in advance in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2 so as to correspond to the medical institution.
[0067] If it is determined in step S207 that "it is the time when regular medical treatment is available at a nearby medical institution," the notification unit 235 notifies the user of a suggestion to go to a nearby medical institution that offers regular medical treatment on its own (step S208). In this case, information such as the desired medical institution as the destination and the user's location may be transmitted to a server of a transportation service provider, such as a taxi dispatch service, so that a shuttle service can be arranged for the user. In other words, the calculation unit 234 may execute processing related to the arrangements necessary for the user to travel to a nearby medical institution, with or without input from the user.
[0068] If it is determined in step S206 that "the user cannot move by himself / herself" or if it is determined in step S207 that "it is not the time when regular medical treatment is available at the nearby medical institution," the calculation unit 234 executes a process to determine whether or not a new house call is available at the nearby medical institution based on the current time and the pre-registered available house call times of the nearby medical institution (step S209). The available house call times of the medical institution are pre-registered in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2 so as to correspond to the medical institution.
[0069] If it is determined in step S209 that "it is the time when a new house call is possible at a nearby medical institution," the notification unit 235 notifies the user that it is suggested to use the new house call service (step S210).
[0070] If it is determined in step S209 that "it is not the time when new house calls are possible at nearby medical institutions," the notification unit 235 notifies the user that it is recommended that they consult with the Emergency Relief Center (step S211).
[0071] In this manner, when a suggestion including "visit a medical institution" is made in the first notification information, processing is executed regarding a predetermined question. The content of the first notification information is configured according to at least one of information regarding the first user's mobility, information regarding IT literacy, information regarding the usage status of home welfare medical services, and information regarding nearby medical institutions. According to this aspect, more appropriate notification information can be provided by referring to various information.
[0072] [Others] The information processing system 1 according to the above-described embodiment may also be modified as follows.
[0073] In the above embodiment, the blood oxygen saturation value is used as the reference value, but this is not limiting and any health-related biometric information obtainable by the user may be used. For example, heart rate, pulse, blood pressure, body temperature, sweating, electrical skin resistance, electrocardiogram, electromyogram, blood sugar level, respiration, heart sounds, lung sounds, pupil dilation, etc. may be used as the reference value.
[0074] In the above embodiment, the case of a user with a chronic illness of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease has been described, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the user may also have a chronic illness other than chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The user may be a patient with at least one chronic illness, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, obesity, heart disease (myocardial infarction, chronic heart failure, etc.), kidney disease, or brain disease (stroke, cerebral infarction, etc.). The user may also be a patient with multiple chronic illnesses. Specifically, for example, the user may be a patient with chronic heart failure, or a patient with two chronic illnesses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure.
[0075] Specifically, for example, if a user (hereinafter referred to as "user B") is a patient with two chronic illnesses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure, the acquisition unit 232 acquires user information related to the two chronic illnesses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure. Specifically, the acquired user information of user B may include information on the presence of the two chronic illnesses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure, the blood oxygen saturation level, the occurrence of pulsus alternans, the status of lung sounds (lung noise), the status of heart sounds, and a doctor's diagnosis. The calculation unit 234 then executes a process of setting a reference value based on the user information of user B. In this case, the reference value is set based on a combination of two chronic illnesses from health-related biometric information that the user can acquire. In other words, if the user has multiple chronic illnesses, the reference value is set based on the combination of the multiple chronic illnesses. In detail, for example, the reference value for blood oxygen saturation is "93%" for User A who has a chronic illness of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and "90%" for User B who has two chronic illnesses of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure. According to this aspect, when a user has multiple chronic illnesses, it is possible to set an optimal reference value for the user.
[0076] The reference value may also be set based on a combination of the type of chronic disease and the type of first information. Specifically, for example, in the case of user B, who has two chronic diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure, the reference value is set based on a combination of the reference value of blood oxygen saturation and the reference value of pulse. Specifically, in the case of user A, who has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the health state was classified as the third health state when the blood oxygen saturation was 89%, as described above. In the case of user B, who has two chronic diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure, even if the blood oxygen saturation was 89%, if the pulse value was high (e.g., 80 bpm), the health state may be classified as the second health state. Furthermore, in the case of user B, even if the blood oxygen saturation was 92%, if the pulse value was low (e.g., 50 bpm), the health state may be classified as the third health state. According to this aspect, an optimal reference value can be set according to the combination of the type of chronic disease and the type of biological information to be acquired.
[0077] In the above embodiment, the Top screen is described as being displayed with a mode in which either "Register / Confirm / Change User Information" or "Health Status Check" can be selected, but this is not limited thereto. That is, the Top screen may be displayed with a mode in which other items can be selected in addition to a mode in which either "Register / Confirm / Change User Information" or "Health Status Check" can be selected. Specifically, for example, the Top screen may be displayed with options for using home medical care services, receiving online medical care, using a new house call service, consulting the Emergency Relief Center Project (#7119), requesting emergency transport, etc.
[0078] In the above embodiment, the user registers the user information himself / herself. However, this is not limited to this. For example, instead of the user registering the user information, a service provider such as a healthcare provider, care institution, medical institution, or home care service may register the user information. In this case, the display control unit 236 controls the display unit 34 of the service provider terminal 3 to display a setting screen for inputting information about the user. Then, the acquisition unit 232 acquires the user information of user A through the service provider's operation via the setting screen. Furthermore, for example, instead of the user with a chronic illness registering the user information, a user (e.g., a family member) who is caring for or caring for the user with the chronic illness may register the user information. In other words, the acquisition unit 232 may acquire information (user information, first information, etc.) from a user who is caring for or caring for a first user with at least one chronic illness.
[0079] In the above embodiment, the reference value is set based on the registration of user information. However, this is not limiting. As an example, if reference values cannot be set for all or some of the items because biometric information has not been acquired in the past, the "health status check" process may be executed without setting reference values for all or some of the items. Specifically, for example, when reference values are not set for some items, such as when, among the biometric information that the user can acquire, a reference value is set for blood oxygen saturation but not for respiration, heart sounds, and heart rate. In this case, biometric information is acquired by executing the "health status check" process, and the reference value may be set using this biometric information. Then, the set reference value may be used to execute processing on subsequently acquired biometric information. That is, the reference value may be set based on multiple pieces of biometric information acquired from the user through multiple acquisition steps. That is, the acquired biometric information may be acquired multiple times at different times, different days, etc. to improve the accuracy of the reference value. In other words, the acquisition unit 232 executes the acquisition step multiple times. The reference value is set based on multiple pieces of first information acquired from the first user through multiple acquisition steps. According to this aspect, it is possible to set an optimum reference value for the user.
[0080] As another example, the reference value may be set by referring to a reference value set for another user. In this case, the other user may have the same chronic illness as the user. Specifically, for example, the other user may have the same chronic illness as user A, that is, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
[0081] In the above embodiment, the correction conditions for the biometric information are described as cases where high-frequency noise exceeding a predetermined level is detected, where signal strength weaker than a predetermined level is detected, or the like, depending on the characteristics of the biometric information value. However, the correction conditions are not limited to these. For example, the value of the biometric information may be corrected depending on the characteristics of the user. Specifically, for example, in the case of user A, the user information acquired is: age 80, male, weight 38.5 kg, height 160 cm, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), no past illnesses, blood oxygen saturation 94%, and a doctor's diagnosis. For example, the weight of 38.5 kg and height of 160 cm may be used as the user's characteristics. In this case, the user's condition can be identified based on the body mass index (BMI) calculated from the weight and height. In the case of user A, the weight of 38.5 kg and height of 160 cm result in a BMI of approximately 15 (in the underweight / underweight range). As a result, user A's condition can be identified as being thin.
[0082] For example, if the user is thin, the sensor 46 of the user terminal 4 may physically interfere with the bones of user A, preventing the sensor 46 from coming into close contact with user A's skin. In the case of a sensor that measures by coming into close contact with the skin, it is possible that the signal from the sensor 46 may not be properly displayed. Specifically, it is possible that the signal contains noise, the signal strength is weak, or the like. In this case, it is preferable to perform corrections to the acquired biometric information value to remove or reduce noise, or to adjust the signal strength to an appropriate strength. By determining the identity of the user in advance in this way, it is possible to appropriately correct the value of the biometric information. That is, in the creation step, the creation unit 233 creates corrected biometric information by correcting the value of the first information according to the characteristics of the first user. In this case, in the first notification step, the notification unit 235 notifies the first notification information based on the corrected biometric information and the reference value. According to this aspect, by correcting the biometric information according to the identity of the user, it is possible to notify more accurate notification information. Furthermore, the characteristics of the first user may be at least one of age, weight, height, and chronic illness information. According to this aspect, it is possible to correct the biometric information by using the characteristics unique to the user.
[0083] Furthermore, the characteristics of the first user may be set based on image data of the first user or data acquired by a predetermined sensor. Specifically, for example, the user's skin condition may be identified as the user's characteristics using image data of the user or a predetermined sensor. In this case, the user's skin condition may include, for example, dryness of the skin or thinness. For example, if the user's skin is dry, a situation may arise in which the sensor 46 of the user terminal 4 cannot be in close contact with the user A's skin, just as in the case of a thin user. Furthermore, the image data of the user may be acquired using a camera as the sensor 46 of the user terminal 4. The predetermined sensor may be, for example, the sensor 46 of the user terminal 4. Specifically, for example, an electrical conductivity sensor may be used as the sensor 46 of the user terminal 4 to determine the dryness of the skin. In this way, by setting the user's characteristics based on image data of the user or data acquired by a predetermined sensor, the value of the biometric information can be appropriately corrected. According to this aspect, the biometric information can be corrected by using the user's condition or skin condition that can be determined from the image.
[0084] The sensor 46 of the user terminal 4 may be made of various shapes or materials to acquire biometric information. Specifically, for example, the portion of the sensor 46 that comes into contact with the user (hereinafter referred to as the "tip") may have a shape with multiple thin probes, an elastic body, or the like. In a tip having multiple thin probes, the shape changes to conform to the shape of the user's skin as the multiple thin probes change shape. Furthermore, in a tip having an elastic body, the shape changes to conform to the shape of the user's skin as the elastic body changes shape. This configuration allows the sensor 46 to be in close contact with the skin of the user A, enabling appropriate data to be acquired.
[0085] In the above embodiment, a case where the health state is divided into three states, namely, the first health state, the second health state, and the third health state, is described. However, this is not limited to this. For example, the health state may be divided into two states, the first health state and the second health state, using only one reference value, or the health state may be divided into four or more states using three or more reference values.
[0086] As described above, the information processing system 1 includes at least one device (e.g., the information processing device 2), but at least one of these devices may be installed outside Japan. For example, the information processing device 2 may be installed outside Japan, and the service provider terminal 3 and the user terminal 4 may be installed in Japan. Similarly, a user may access various information processing devices 2 from outside Japan using his or her own user terminal 4.
[0087] In one embodiment, the reception unit 231, the acquisition unit 232, the creation unit 233, the calculation unit 234, the notification unit 235, and the display control unit 236 are described as functional units realized by the control unit 23 of the information processing device 2, but they may also be implemented as functional units realized by the control unit 33 of the service provider terminal 3 or the control unit 43 of the user terminal 4. Furthermore, the various pieces of information described in the above example may be stored not only in the storage unit 22 of the information processing device 2, but also in a distributed manner in other external devices.
[0088] It may be provided in the following manner.
[0089] (1) An information processing system comprising a processor capable of executing a program to perform each of the following steps: in an acquisition step, first information is acquired from a first user having at least one chronic illness, wherein the first information is biometric information related to the health of the first user acquired through the acquisition step; in a first notification step, first notification information regarding the health condition of the first user is notified based on the first information and a predetermined reference value, wherein the reference value is a value that is set corresponding to the chronic illness and is capable of distinguishing the health condition;

[0095] (4) In the information processing system described in (1) above, the acquisition step is performed multiple times, the reference value is set based on second information measured at a care facility or medical institution, and the setting is further updated based on multiple pieces of first information acquired through multiple acquisition steps, wherein the second information is biometric information related to the health of at least one second user.
[0096] According to this aspect, the setting can be updated from a more precise reference value to a reference value that is optimal for the user.
[0097] (5) In the information processing system described in (3) or (4) above, the second user does not include the first user.
[0098] According to this aspect, the reference value can be set in accordance with the user's situation.
[0099] (6) In the information processing system described in any one of (1) to (5) above, the reference value is set based on a combination of multiple chronic illnesses if the first user has multiple chronic illnesses.
[0100] According to this aspect, when a user has multiple chronic diseases, it is possible to set an optimum reference value for the user.
[0101] (7) In the information processing system described in any one of (1) to (6) above, the reference value is set based on a combination of the type of chronic illness and the type of first information.
[0102] According to this aspect, it is possible to set an optimum reference value according to the combination of the type of chronic disease and the type of biological information to be acquired.
[0103] (8) In the information processing system described in any one of (1) to (7) above, the reference value includes a first reference value and a second reference value, and the health state includes a first health state that is distinguished when the first reference value is satisfied, a second health state that is distinguished when the first reference value is not satisfied, and a third health state that is distinguished when the second reference value is not satisfied, and in the first notification step, when the health state is classified as the third health state, the first notification information is notified, which has a higher level of urgency than when the health state is classified as the first health state and the second health state.
[0104] According to this aspect, the health condition of the user can be determined based on a plurality of criteria.
[0105] (9) In the information processing system described in (8) above, the acquisition step further acquires information regarding medication prescribed to the first user, and the first notification step notifies information regarding the medication when the second health condition is identified.
