Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] Display cart for products for sale to the public

[0003] Technical field of the invention

[0004] The present invention pertains to the sales sector in department stores and retail outlets, primarily aimed at a non-professional target audience, who require greater support and assistance during the purchasing process from store personnel. In particular, it relates to a display cart that facilitates the public's display of pre-selected product sets, for example, for complete bathroom furnishings. This cart incorporates media such as vinyl records and interactive screens with all the necessary information so that the customer can independently select a display cart, customize it, and proceed with the payment for the chosen set, minimizing the intervention of sales representatives and reducing the purchasing process time.

[0005] Background of the invention

[0006] The present invention has its application in the sector of warehouses and large stores preferably intended for a non-professional target audience, particularly in the furniture sector and, especially, in the bathroom furniture subsector, although it can also have application in the exhibition and sales of garden or terrace furniture, kitchen furniture, bedroom furniture, etc.

[0007] These establishments typically display relatively limited offers of furniture, sanitary ware, and wall coverings, with minimal opportunity for interaction by the target audience. This results in a long period of time for customers to finalize their purchase decision and make the corresponding payment. Indeed, the size of large stores makes it difficult for customers to examine the various offers or packages and customize them. Often, the assistance of an employee acting as a consultant or salesperson is required to adapt the pre-defined offers to the customer's bathroom dimensions and tastes. This leads to a loss of autonomy for the customer and agility in the sales process, as well as effective capacity once all the salespeople are occupied.

[0008] 1

[0009] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26) The display of these products in joint sales is usually done in such a way that their real or approximate configuration and situation is reproduced in a simulated room or suitable commercial space, so that the customer can see a configuration close to the final finish.

[0010] In particular, bathroom furniture sets are often arranged on the floor space of the warehouse or store dedicated to sales, making it difficult to renew them each season and to use the display space for other purposes.

[0011] Furthermore, displays for this type of product are often renovated periodically to showcase new models or collections. Renovating displays for this type of product is often complex and time-consuming, during which the retail space is temporarily unavailable for one or several days while undergoing renovations. This entails additional costs for the retail space.

[0012] Summary description of the invention

[0013] The recommended display cart solves these problems and allows for a more efficient sales protocol, in which the customer chooses the entire restroom at once, selecting one or more preferred display carts, and then personalizing them using information media and devices built into the display cart itself. This reduces shopping times, minimizing sales intervention, and maximizing customer service and turnover in the warehouse or store.

[0014] To this end, the display cart comprises a frame mounted on wheels, which in turn has a base, at least one vertical panel and manual pushing means, so that products for the complete furnishing of bathrooms are installed on the base and the vertical panel, including sanitary ware, ceramic coverings, parquet flooring and possibly accessories and props, for joint sale.

[0015] The customer will walk through an area of the warehouse or large retail store where as many display carts as desired or possible will be parked, taking into account the available space and the design of the sales route, identifying the display cart or carts that best suit their tastes, which they can write down on a card or form of the kind commonly used in large retail stores.

[0016] 2

[0017] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26) The display carts will be grouped into style blocks that can change seasonally (by trends, designers, seasons, etc.).

[0018] To facilitate the customization process, the display cart incorporates customer information media and devices. Specifically, the floor of the display cart has vinyl graphics depicting standard small and large bathroom surfaces, indicating the respective prices for each. This allows customers to anticipate the final price, although the measurement, and therefore the price, may be specified later. Furthermore, each display cart incorporates an interactive screen where customers can view different environments with the combination of that display cart and customize their purchase by replacing some of the elements with others that better suit the customer's taste, chosen from among the options offered by the store. Finally, the use of augmented reality devices, such as tablets or laptops, is planned so that the customer can view the final result, after which the sales process would be ready for payment.

[0019] Therefore, a first aspect of the invention provides a display cart, characterized in that it comprises a frame mounted on wheels, the frame comprising a base, at least one vertical panel and manual pushing means, such that various products that make up a batch of products for sale and joint use are installed on the base and the vertical panel.

[0020] With a display cart like the one above, you can set up as many display carts in an indoor storage area as there are offers you want to present, and then easily push each cart, moving the display unit to a sales area. Furthermore, if necessary, the display unit can be easily moved from one area of the retail space to another, making the improved display cart ideal for large establishments that dedicate most of their space to displays and sales.

[0021] On the other hand, in conventional department stores and large retailers, product displays are static, either on fixed counters or placed on the floor. The cost of renewing sample racks due to changes in collections or seasons is enormously expensive. The display cart streamlines this sample changeover.

[0022] The design also allows each display cart to contain entire room offerings with items specially selected by the store. Once selected, the customer can use digital means to personalize it and proceed with payment, thus streamlining the sales process.

[0023] 3

[0024] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26) In this way, these display carts create a practical and easy-to-change display system, as well as reproduce different environments and offers for individual customer evaluation. Furthermore, the sales protocol associated with the display cart allows for communicating "complete set" options for, for example, a bathroom, including ceramic wall and floor coverings and accessory elements, such as mirrors, shelves, light fixtures, etc., to facilitate selection and allow customers to customize their purchase independently, completing the purchasing process in a single visit to the store.

[0025] Thanks to the mobility of the display carts, they can be moved around the perimeter of the store, even in outdoor areas, freeing up a large space within the warehouse or large retail space where other types of activities can be planned.

[0026] Optionally, vertical panels can be used to divide the base into at least two or more display areas. With two or more display areas, for example, the sink and cosmetics cabinet can be displayed on one side and the shower and toilet on the other, on a single display cart, thus maximizing the investment.

[0027] Optionally, the display cart includes a structure on which a digital information display device is placed, such as a television screen or an interactive digital touchscreen, so that customers can consult information, view virtual reality environments, and customize their space by modifying some elements of the standard offering. It can also have a QR code that allows them to view the customized configuration on their phone in augmented reality, with the purchase process completed pending payment.

[0028] Based on the above, this type of display cart with an interactive digital screen allows for reduced purchasing process times, facilitating the salesperson's work and providing autonomy to the buyer.

[0029] The display cart described above allows for a plurality of carts to be arranged in a warehouse, each of which displays a complete configuration to the consumer public as if it were an individualised showcase, facilitating the change of pre-configured configurations according to collections and seasons and even enabling spaces that allow for other uses, such as social uses, of the display surface.

[0031] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26) Brief description of the drawings

[0032] In the following paragraphs, an embodiment of the present invention is described, by way of example only, with reference to the following figure, in which:

[0033] Figures 1, 2 and 3 show three representations of the improved display cart viewed from three different angles according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0034] Detailed description of the invention

[0035] Figure 1 shows an improved display cart 10 for products for sale to the public comprising a frame 12 mounted on idle wheels 14.

[0036] The frame comprises a square base 12a and a vertical panel 12b that divides the base into two display areas. The vertical panel simulates a wall, in this case, a bathroom wall.

[0037] The display cart comprises means 16 for manually pushing the display cart, formed by a handle 18 connected to vertical supports 20 located on one side of the base 12a.

[0038] On the vertical supports 20, there is a digital information display 22, which in this case is an interactive touchscreen that shows the purchase, financing, and configuration options for the product range for sale. Optionally, the display cart can include digital payment methods, such as a credit card reader.

[0039] On the edge of the touch screen 22, there are some 12c printed vinyls that allow the large or small size of the bathroom to be calibrated and to obtain an advance idea of the final price of the respective configurations, without prejudice to the possibility of specifying the increase or decrease at a later time.

[0040] The vertical panel 12b divides the base 12a into two display areas 11a, 11b. With two display areas 11a, 11b, it is possible to display, on one side, the washbasin 24 and the cosmetics cabinet 26 and on the other side the shower 28 and the toilet or lavatory 30, on a single display trolley, thus optimizing the investment in the improved display trolley.

[0041] 5

[0042] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26) Display carts can be grouped into various style blocks, which can change seasonally, grouped by designers, environments, styles, etc. They will also be complemented with props.

[0043] With these 10 display carts, product sets such as complete bathrooms can be displayed in large retail stores, in order to carry out a systematic and dynamic sales protocol in which the customer: a) moves freely around the display cart area to select the one(s) that best suit their preferences; b) selects the size of the bathroom printed in vinyl on the base; c) uses digital media, such as a television screen or an interactive digital finger-controlled screen, to consult data, view environments in virtual reality, and personalize their space by modifying some elements of the standard offer among closed alternatives offered by the seller; d) can use augmented reality media through a QR code to view the customized configuration on their own phone; e) leaving the purchasing process ready, pending payment, which can be processed using those same digital media;f) all of this with the least possible intervention of warehouse personnel dedicated to advice or sales, in some phases or in the final phases of the sales protocol.;

[0044] Consequently, each display cart can carry:

[0045] Vinyl graphics on the base or on digital information display media distinguish between "small" and "large" bathroom options, with the price for each of these configurations.

[0046] A screen where you can view environments with the combination of that display cart, receive ecology and sustainability tips, and other relevant information.

[0047] Options to allow for customer customization from a limited number of options, with each indicating the price difference compared to the standard display cart.

[0048] QR codes and Augmented Reality tools to visualize the final selection. If you've selected more than one display cart, this step will help you decide which one to choose.

[0049] Throughout the entire process, a salesperson may occasionally assist the customer. However, the sales protocol linked to the use of the cart allows the customer greater autonomy than in traditional sales systems.

[0050] 6

[0051] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26) The material can also be seen applied in stores, appreciated both by the physical products displayed and by digital representations, which is difficult to achieve when room-like environments are arranged on the floor itself. According to the above, it is possible to have a plurality of display carts in a warehouse, with their wheeled axles that allow for easy handling and movement, for example, to change the preconfigured configurations according to collections and seasons and even to create spaces that allow for other uses, such as social uses, of the display space.

[0052] REPLACEMENT SHEET (RULE 26)
