[0024] A mobile object according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the above-described information processing device and a steering wheel, and the steering wheel includes a finger information acquisition device that acquires information about the fingers of a person holding the steering wheel. Therefore, in this embodiment, it is possible to identify the driver of the mobile object.

[0025] The information processing device may include a driving data acquisition processing unit that acquires driving data of a mobile object, and a linking processing unit that links the driving data acquired by the driving data acquisition processing unit to the identification information identified by the identification information identifying unit. In this way, it becomes possible to manage the driving data of a mobile object for each driver of the mobile object.

[0026] The biometric information acquired by the biometric information acquisition processing unit may include information about the face, fingers, and / or voice of the subject, and the biometric information stored in the storage medium may include information about the faces, fingers, and / or voices of the multiple persons. This makes it possible to use, as biometric authentication technologies, for example, face authentication technology (authentication technology that uses information such as the positions of features such as eyes and facial contours), auricle (ear shape) authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the shape of the ear), iris authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the iris pattern), ocular vascular authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the ocular vascular pattern of the white of the eye), retina authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the retinal vein pattern), fingerprint authentication technology (authentication technology that uses a fingerprint), vein authentication technology (authentication technology that uses a vein pattern), and voiceprint authentication technology (authentication technology that uses a voiceprint).

[0027] The identification information of the subject identified by the identification information specifying unit may be stored in association with the subject's use of the object, thereby making it possible to manage the use of the object.

[0028] A storage medium according to an embodiment of the present invention is a storage medium that performs short-range wireless communication with an information processing device, and stores identification information for identifying multiple people and biometric information of the multiple people. Therefore, in this embodiment, the authentication device can obtain the biometric information of the multiple people who use the object via short-range wireless communication.

[0029] A system according to one embodiment of the present invention is a system including a storage medium and an information processing device, wherein the storage medium stores identification information for identifying multiple persons and biometric information of the multiple persons, and the information processing device includes an identification information acquisition processing unit that acquires the identification information and the biometric information from the storage medium using short-range wireless communication, a biometric information acquisition processing unit that acquires the biometric information of a target person, and an identification information identification unit that identifies the identification information of the target person based on the biometric information of the multiple persons acquired from the storage medium and the biometric information of the target person. Therefore, in this embodiment, even if the authentication device is located in a location where the communication environment with a remote device, such as a cloud, is poor, it is possible to identify a person through biometric authentication.

[0030] An information processing method according to one embodiment of the present invention is an information processing method executed by a computer, and includes: an identification information acquisition process for acquiring, from a storage medium storing identification information for identifying multiple persons and biometric information of the multiple persons, the identification information and the biometric information, using short-range wireless communication; a biometric information acquisition process for acquiring the biometric information of a target person; and an identification information identification process for identifying the target person based on the biometric information of the multiple persons acquired from the storage medium and the biometric information of the target person. Therefore, in this embodiment, even if an authentication device is located in a location with poor communication environment with a device located remotely, such as a cloud, it is possible to identify a person through biometric authentication.

[0031] An information processing program according to an embodiment of the present invention causes a computer to execute the above-described information processing method. Therefore, in this embodiment, even if the authentication device is located in a location where the communication environment with a remote device such as a cloud is poor, it is possible to identify a person through biometric authentication.

[0032] Furthermore, a computer-readable storage medium according to an embodiment of the present invention stores the information processing program, which allows the information processing program to be distributed as a standalone program in addition to being incorporated into a device, and makes it easy to perform version upgrades, etc.

[0033] <Information Processing System> Fig. 1 is a diagram showing an information processing system according to an embodiment of the present invention. The information processing system according to this embodiment includes a storage medium 100 and an authentication device 200. The information processing system according to this embodiment is a system that performs authentication for an authentication object (for example, a mobile object (for example, a vehicle), a residence, an office, a warehouse, a locker, a mailbox, a shared facility, or shared equipment) used by multiple people, and identifies a person (authentication subject) who is about to start using the authentication object from among multiple people who will use the authentication object (for example, multiple people who are registered in advance as people who will use the authentication object).

[0034] The storage medium 100 stores identification information (e.g., identification numbers) for identifying multiple people who will use the authentication object (e.g., multiple people who are registered in advance as people who will use the authentication object). In other words, identification information is assigned to each of the multiple people who will use the authentication object, and the storage medium 100 stores the multiple pieces of identification information assigned to the multiple people.

[0035] The storage medium 100 further stores biometric information of multiple people who use the authentication object. That is, the storage medium 100 stores identification information and biometric information of multiple people who use the authentication object. The biometric information includes, for example, information about a face (e.g., a face image, facial features (e.g., positions of features such as eyes, facial contours, and ear shapes), an eye image, and eye features (e.g., iris patterns, ocular blood vessel patterns in the whites of the eyes, and retinal vein patterns)), information about a finger (e.g., a finger image and finger features (e.g., fingerprints and vein patterns)), and / or information about a voice (voice information and voice features (e.g., voiceprints)).

[0036] The storage medium 100 is a portable storage medium that performs short-range wireless communication (for example, communication according to a short-range wireless communication standard using a frequency band of 13.56 MHz) with the authentication device 200. The storage medium 100 is, for example, an NFC (Near Field Communication) tag (for example, a key tag, a card, or an NFC tag mounted on a smartphone).

[0037] 1, the authentication device 200 includes a control unit 210, a short-range wireless communication unit 220, a biometric information acquisition unit 230, and a storage unit 240. The authentication device 200 is installed on, for example, an object to be authenticated.

[0038] The control unit 210 is an information processing device for processing information and is configured by a computer. The short-range wireless communication unit 220 is a communication device for performing short-range wireless communication, for example, a communication device for performing communication according to a short-range wireless communication standard using a frequency band of 13.56 MHz, and a communication device for reading information stored in an NFC tag. The biometric information acquisition unit 230 is a device for acquiring the same type of biometric information as the biometric information stored in the storage medium 100, and includes, for example, an optical sensor (e.g., a camera, an infrared sensor), a fingerprint sensor, and / or a microphone. The storage unit 240 is a storage device for storing information, such as a memory, a hard disk drive, or a solid-state drive.

[0039] Therefore, in this embodiment, when the distance between the storage medium 100 and the authentication device 200 is equal to or less than a predetermined distance (e.g., approximately 10 cm), the authentication device 200 can read the information stored in the storage medium 100 from the storage medium 100 using short-range wireless communication. Therefore, in this embodiment, it is preferable that the person to be authenticated carries the storage medium 100 that stores the identification information and biometric information of multiple people including the person to be authenticated. Then, in this embodiment, when the person to be authenticated brings the storage medium 100 within a predetermined distance from the authentication device 200, the authentication device 200 can acquire the identification information and biometric information of multiple people including the person to be authenticated.

[0040] 2 is a diagram showing the control unit 210. The control unit 210 has an identification information acquisition processing unit 211, a biometric information acquisition processing unit 212, and an identification information specifying unit 213.

[0041] The identification information acquisition processing unit 211 uses communication via the short-range wireless communication unit 220 to acquire from the storage medium 100 the identification information and biometric information stored in the storage medium 100, that is, the identification information and biometric information of multiple people who will use the object to be authenticated (for example, multiple people who have been registered in advance as people who will use the object to be authenticated).

[0042] The biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 uses the biometric information acquisition unit 230 to acquire biometric information of the person to be authenticated.

[0043] The identification information specifying unit 213 specifies the identification information of the person to be authenticated based on the biometric information of the plurality of persons acquired from the storage medium 100 by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211 and the biometric information of the person to be authenticated acquired by the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212. For example, the identification information specifying unit 213 extracts biometric information that is the same as the biometric information of the person to be authenticated acquired by the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 from the biometric information of the plurality of persons acquired from the storage medium 100 by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211, and specifies the identification information corresponding to this extracted biometric information (i.e., the identification information of the person corresponding to this extracted biometric information) as the identification information of the person to be authenticated.

[0044] In this way, in this embodiment, biometric information of multiple people who use an object to be authenticated is stored in the storage medium 100, and the authentication device 200 acquires the biometric information of the multiple people from the storage medium 100. Therefore, in this embodiment, even if the authentication device 200 is located in a place where the communication environment with a device in a remote location, such as a cloud, is poor, it is possible to identify a person through biometric authentication.

[0045] Furthermore, in this embodiment, information on multiple persons who use the authentication object is stored in a portable storage medium 100 that can be carried by the person to be authenticated, rather than in the authentication device 200 installed on the authentication object. Therefore, in this embodiment, even if the configuration of multiple persons who use the authentication object changes, the biometric information of the multiple persons who use the changed authentication object can be registered in the storage medium 100, and there is no need to go to the authentication device 200 to register it on the authentication device 200.

[0046] In this embodiment, biometric information of multiple people who use the authentication object is stored in the storage medium 100, and the authentication device 200 acquires the biometric information of the multiple people from the storage medium 100. Therefore, in this embodiment, multiple people who use the authentication object can use the authentication object by handing over the storage medium 100. As a result, in this embodiment, it is not necessary to prepare as many storage media 100 as the number of people who use the authentication object; it is sufficient to prepare fewer storage media 100 than the number of people who use the authentication object. In this way, in this embodiment, the number of storage media 100 can be made fewer than the number of people who use the authentication object, making it easier to manage the storage media 100. Furthermore, since fewer storage media 100 are required, costs can be reduced.

[0047] The identification information identification unit 213 uses biometric authentication technology when extracting biometric information identical to the biometric information acquired by the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 from the biometric information of multiple people acquired by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211.

[0048] If the biometric information acquired by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211 and the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 includes information related to a face, the identification information specification unit 213 uses, as biometric authentication technology, for example, face authentication technology (authentication technology that uses information such as the positions of features such as the eyes and the outline of the face), auricle (ear shape) authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the shape of the ear), iris authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the iris pattern), ocular blood vessel authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the ocular blood vessel pattern of the white of the eye), or retinal authentication technology (authentication technology that uses the retinal vein pattern).

[0049] If the biometric information acquired by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211 and the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 includes information about a finger, the identification information identification unit 213 uses, as the biometric authentication technology, for example, fingerprint authentication technology (authentication technology using a fingerprint) or vein authentication technology (authentication technology using a vein pattern).

[0050] If the biometric information acquired by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211 and the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 includes information about voice, the identification information identification unit 213 uses, for example, voiceprint authentication technology (authentication technology using voiceprints) as the biometric authentication technology.

[0051] The authentication device 200 may further include a storage processing unit 214. The storage processing unit 214 stores the identification information of the person to be authenticated identified by the identification information identifying unit 213 in the storage unit 240, linking it to the person to be authenticated's use of the authentication object. This makes it possible to manage the use of the authentication object. For example, the storage processing unit 214 may store the time when the person to be authenticated's identification information was identified by the identification information identifying unit 213, linking it to the identification information. This makes it possible to manage the time when the person to be authenticated started using the authentication object.

[0052] In the case where the authentication object has a locking device and is locked by the locking device before use of the authentication object is started, the authentication device 200 may further have an unlocking processing unit 215. The unlocking processing unit 215 operates the locking device of the authentication object to unlock the authentication object.

[0053] 3 is a diagram showing an example of processing operations executed by the control unit 210 when short-range wireless communication with the storage medium 100 becomes possible (e.g., when the distance between the storage medium 100 and the short-range wireless communication unit 220 becomes equal to or less than a predetermined distance). The identification information acquisition processing unit 211 acquires identification information and biometric information of multiple persons stored in the storage medium 100 from the storage medium 100 using short-range wireless communication by the short-range wireless communication unit 220 (step S301). The biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 acquires biometric information of the person to be authenticated using the biometric information acquisition unit 230 (step S302). The identification information identification unit 213 identifies the identification information of the person to be authenticated based on the biometric information of the multiple persons acquired from the storage medium 100 by the identification information acquisition processing unit 211 and the biometric information of the person to be authenticated acquired by the biometric information acquisition processing unit 212 (step S303).

[0054] The information processing system according to the present embodiment can be used to identify the driver of a mobile body. In this case, the authentication target is the mobile body, the person to be authenticated is the driver of the mobile body, and the authentication device 200 is, for example, an in-vehicle device (for example, a drive recorder) installed in the mobile body.

[0055] In this case, it is preferable that the in-vehicle device (authentication device 200) has a camera as the biometric information acquisition unit 230, as shown in Fig. 4. In this case, the camera (biometric information acquisition unit 230) is installed, for example, in a position where it can capture an image of the face of a person sitting in the driver's seat of the mobile body, and the biometric information of the multiple people stored in the storage medium 100 includes information about the faces of the multiple people. In this way, the in-vehicle device (authentication device 200) can acquire the biometric information (information about the face) of the person sitting in the driver's seat of the mobile body (i.e., the driver of the mobile body), and as a result, it is possible to identify the identification number of the driver of the mobile body.

[0056] In this case, the in-vehicle device (authentication device 200) may have a microphone as the biometric information acquisition unit 230, as shown in FIG. 4 . In this case, the microphone (biometric information acquisition unit 230) may be installed, for example, in a position where it can pick up the voice of a person sitting in the driver's seat of the mobile body, and the biometric information of the multiple people stored in the storage medium 100 may include information about the voices of the multiple people. In this case, the microphone (biometric information acquisition unit 230) may be a directional microphone that can pick up voices from the direction of the mouth of the person sitting in the driver's seat of the mobile body. In this way, the in-vehicle device (authentication device 200) can acquire biometric information (information about the voice) of the person sitting in the driver's seat of the mobile body (i.e., the driver of the mobile body), and as a result, it becomes possible to identify the identification number of the driver of the mobile body.

[0057] The authentication device 200 may be, for example, the mobile object itself, which is the object to be authenticated. In this case, the mobile object (authentication device 200) may further include a steering wheel as a biometric information acquisition unit 230, as shown in FIG. 5 . The steering wheel may include a finger information acquisition device that acquires information about the fingers of the person holding the steering wheel (i.e., the driver of the mobile object), and the biometric information of the multiple people stored in the storage medium 100 may include information about the fingers of the multiple people. In this case, the finger information acquisition device may include, for example, a fingerprint sensor or an infrared sensor. In this manner, the mobile object (authentication device 200) can acquire biometric information (information about the fingers) of the person holding the steering wheel of the mobile object (i.e., the driver of the mobile object), and as a result, it becomes possible to identify the identification number of the driver of the mobile object.

[0058] When authentication device 200 is an in-vehicle device or a mobile body, control unit 210 of authentication device 200 may further include a traveling data acquisition processing unit 216 and a linking processing unit 217, as shown in Fig. 6. Traveling data acquisition processing unit 216 acquires traveling data of the mobile body (e.g., the speed and acceleration of the mobile body, and traveling images of the mobile body), and linking processing unit 217 links the traveling data by traveling data acquisition processing unit 216 to the identification information identified by identification information identification unit 213, and stores the data in storage unit 240. In this manner, it becomes possible to manage traveling data of the mobile body for each driver of the mobile body.

[0059] When the authentication device 200 is an on-board device, the traveling data acquisition processing unit 216 may acquire traveling data from the mobile object. Alternatively, the authentication device 200 may further include a traveling data acquisition unit 250 that is a device for acquiring traveling data (e.g., a speedometer that measures the speed of the mobile object, an accelerometer that measures the acceleration of the mobile object, or a camera that photographs the outside and inside of the mobile object), and the traveling data acquisition processing unit 216 may acquire the traveling data via the traveling data acquisition unit 250. When the authentication device 200 is a mobile object, the mobile object may include the traveling data acquisition unit 250, and the traveling data acquisition processing unit 216 may acquire the traveling data via the traveling data acquisition unit 250.

[0060] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 , the authentication device 200 may further include a communication unit 260, and as shown in FIG. 6 , the control unit 210 of the authentication device 200 may further include a traveling data transmission processing unit 218. The communication unit 260 is a communication device for transmitting and receiving information to and from a device external to the mobile object. The traveling data transmission processing unit 218 transmits the traveling data linked to the identification information and stored in the storage unit 240 to a device external to the mobile object using communication via the communication unit 260. In this manner, it becomes possible for a device external to the mobile object to manage the traveling data of the mobile object for each driver of the mobile object.

[0061] The present invention has been described above in terms of preferred embodiments thereof. While the present invention has been described herein with reference to specific examples, various modifications and variations can be made to these examples without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as set forth in the claims.
