Analog works and digital content linked sales system and method thereof

[0001] The present invention relates to a system and method for integrating or linking sales of analog works and digital content, and more particularly, to a system and method for providing digital content usage rights by determining usage rights conditions including purchase confirmation response or delivery completion information when a user requests to purchase an analog work and digital content linked thereto.

[0002]

[0003] Traditionally, analog works like books, art, and music have been consumed through tangible media like paper, canvas, and records. These analog works offer consumers intrinsic value by leveraging various senses to provide direct experiences.

[0004] Recent advancements in the IT industry have led to a growing trend of analog works being converted into digital content. These digital contents enhance accessibility, interactivity, and other features through secondary processing or adaptation of analog works, thereby offering differentiated experiences and appeal.

[0005] Accordingly, consumers are increasingly demanding to experience both analog works and digital content.

[0006] However, currently, analog and digital content are purchased separately, or purchased analog content and then digital content is provided after a separate authentication process. This dual delivery approach can cause inconvenience and confusion for consumers seeking to experience both types of content.

[0007] Additionally, when digital content is linked to analog works to provide additional and expanded information or functions, it creates additional added value, and sales of this added value also need to be provided efficiently in conjunction with sales of analog works.

[0008] Therefore, when a consumer requests to purchase an analog work or digital content, there is a need for a system and method that can provide analog works and digital content to the consumer by linking them and providing the consumer with the right to use the digital content using the purchase confirmation response or the delivery information of the analog work, while preventing abuse of the copyright.

[0009] The technical problem to be achieved by the present invention relates to a system and method for selling analog works and digital content in conjunction with each other by providing digital content usage rights by determining usage rights conditions including purchase confirmation response or delivery completion information when a user requests to purchase analog works and digital content.

[0048]

[0049] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating an analog work and digital content linked sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0050] Referring to FIG. 1, a digital content linked sales system (100) may include a user information management unit (110), an order processing unit (120), a digital content usage right provision unit (130), an offline sales linkage unit (140), a digital content right authentication unit (150), and a digital content DB (160).

[0051] Meanwhile, the terms used in the embodiments of the present invention are defined as follows.

[0052] Among the terms used in the embodiments of the present invention, "analog work" refers to a creative work or intellectual property expressed in a tangible form. Specifically, an "analog work" may refer to an object that exists in a physical medium and can be experienced through direct sensory interaction.

[0053] At this time, “analog works” is named to contrast with the term “digital content” to help understanding, and can include all media of content that is not distributed as information online as a medium of actual works such as books, paintings, photographs, sculptures, and music records.

[0054] Additionally, the term "digital content" in the embodiments of the present invention refers to information, creative works, or media that are stored, accessed, and manipulated in digital format. Specifically, "digital content" may refer to secondary processing or adaptation of "analog works" to enhance additional features, such as accessibility and interactivity, thereby providing a differentiated experience or expanded functionality.

[0055] At this time, “digital content” refers to digital content that can be created, viewed, distributed, modified, and preserved on digital electronic devices, unlike “analog works,” and may include digital works such as NFTs, augmented reality, apps, web pages, and platforms.

[0056] For example, assuming that the “analog work” is a book, “digital content” may include an app that provides functions such as error notes, automatic grading, and test generation to consumers experiencing the book.

[0057] Accordingly, consumers can receive an expanded experience by additionally using “digital content” when experiencing “analog works.”

[0058] Additionally, among the terms used in the embodiments of the present invention, "purchase confirmation" refers to a state in which the transaction is officially recognized as having been successfully completed and confirmed. Specifically, it can refer to a state in which refunds and exchanges in a given transaction require mutual consent and are therefore difficult to unilaterally initiate.

[0059] First, a user (10) can request to purchase analog works and digital content through a digital content linkage sales system (100). At this time, the user (10) can request to purchase online, such as through a website or app, using a user terminal.

[0060] Here, the user terminal may include various devices such as mobile phones such as smartphones that perform wired and wireless communication, mobile devices such as laptops, tablet PCs, and PDAs, desktop computers, and wearable devices.

[0061] The user information management unit (110) can manage user information. At this time, the user information may include at least one of the user's (10) identification ID, login ID, login password, contact information, and user authentication terminal information.

[0062] Here, user authentication terminal information is information about a terminal that is authorized to use digital content. A user (10) requests a change, including registration or cancellation, for a user authentication terminal, and the user information management unit (110) can manage user authentication terminal information by determining a request for a change of a user authentication terminal based on user authentication terminal settings.

[0063] At this time, the process by which the user information management unit (110) manages user authentication terminal information will be described later with reference to FIG. 3.

[0064] When a user (10) requests to purchase analog works and digital content online, the order processing unit (120) can request delivery and manage order information using the purchase request information and user information. The order information includes at least one of an order number, invoice number, order status, user information, payment information, and delivery information, and may be updated as circumstances dictate.

[0065] The digital content usage right provision unit (130) determines the usage right conditions of the digital content based on the purchase confirmation response or delivery information, and if it is determined that the usage right conditions are met, the digital content usage right can be provided to the user or the user authentication terminal.

[0066] At this time, the process by which the digital content usage right provision unit (130) provides digital content usage right to the user or user authentication terminal will be described later with reference to FIG. 5.

[0067] When a user (10) requests to purchase analog works and digital content offline, such as at an offline retail store, the offline sales link (140) may issue a digital content usage right token to the user's terminal. At this time, the digital content usage right token may be issued in a form including at least one of a QR code, barcode, text message, phone call, authentication number, or blockchain.

[0068] Here, the user (10) transfers the digital content usage rights token issued to the user terminal to the offline seller, and the offline seller can perform authentication and payment for the token using the offline seller terminal. In this case, the offline seller terminal refers to a terminal that includes the authority to perform authentication and payment for the digital content usage rights token, and some of the offline seller's terminals may be registered as offline seller terminals.

[0069] Here, the generated offline payment information may include token authentication information.

[0070] In addition, the offline sales linkage unit (140) can receive offline payment information from an offline seller terminal and provide the received offline payment information to the digital content usage right provision unit (130).

[0071] Here, the digital content usage right provision unit (130) determines the usage right conditions of the digital content based on offline payment information, and if it is determined that the usage right conditions are met, the digital content usage right can be provided to the user or the user authentication terminal.

[0072] At this time, the offline sales linkage process will be described later with reference to Figure 6.

[0073] When a user (10) requests to use digital content, the digital content use authorization authentication unit (150) can authenticate the user or user terminal's digital content use authorization. At this time, a user or user terminal that has completed authentication can use the digital content.

[0074] A digital content DB (160) can store digital content. At this time, the digital content corresponds to an analog work, and multiple digital contents may exist that provide additional information and extended functions for a single analog work.

[0075] At this time, an example of digital content according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described later with reference to FIG. 2.

[0076] FIG. 2 is a reference diagram illustrating an example of digital content in an analog work and digital content linkage sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0077] Referring to Figure 2, you can see the digital content “wrong answer note” corresponding to the analog work “problem book.”

[0078] Here, the digital content “wrong answer note” may include information corresponding to multiple analog works “problem books.”

[0079] For example, the digital content “Incorrect Answer Note” may include information corresponding to the analog work “Non-literature reading solving 3 passages per day for the Suneung (2023)” and the analog work “2024 Suneung preparation Zaistory high school 3rd year math 1 (2023).”

[0080] Additionally, the digital content “Wrong Answer Note” can be categorized into subjects such as Korean, mathematics, and social studies, and can include extended functions such as solving in order, solving randomly, and creating test papers.

[0081] Through this, the “wrong answer notebook” can have the effect of enhancing students’ learning effectiveness by combining the information in the “problem book” with the various functions of digital content.

[0082] In other words, digital content can be expected to have new functions or expanded effects by combining information from multiple analog works with various functions of digital content.

[0083] FIG. 3 is a block diagram illustrating a user information management unit of an analog work and digital content linked sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0084] Referring to FIG. 3, the user information management unit (110) may include a user information DB (111), a user authentication terminal management unit (112), and a user authentication terminal setting management unit (113).

[0085] The user information DB (111) can store user information. At this time, the user information includes at least one of the user's (10) identification ID (U1), login ID (U2), login PW (U3), contact information (U4), and user authentication terminal information (U5), and can be stored based on information provided by the user (10).

[0086] For example, user information may be stored based on information provided by the user (10) during the process of registering as a member on a webpage or app.

[0087] Here, user authentication terminal information (U5) is information about a terminal that is authorized to use digital content, and may include user authentication information.

[0088] The user authentication terminal setting management unit (113) can manage user authentication terminal settings. At this time, the user authentication terminal settings include at least one of the number of user authentication terminals (D1), the type of user authentication terminal (D2), and the number of changes per period (D3), which can be easily set by the administrator.

[0089] The user authentication terminal management unit (112) receives a user authentication terminal change request including registration or cancellation from a user (10), and manages user authentication terminal information (U5) by determining the user authentication terminal change request based on the user authentication terminal settings.

[0090] In an embodiment of the present invention, the number of user authentication terminals (D1) may refer to the number of user authentication terminals that a user (10) can register in user authentication terminal information (U5).

[0091] For example, if the number of user authentication terminals (D1) is 3, the user (10) can register up to 3 user authentication terminals in the user authentication terminal information (U5). At this time, the user authentication terminal management unit (112) can determine that additional user authentication terminals have been registered if the number of user authentication terminals (D1) registered in the user authentication terminal information (U5) is 2 or less.

[0092] In another embodiment of the present invention, the user authentication terminal type (D2) may refer to the type of user authentication terminal that a user (10) can register in user authentication terminal information (U5).

[0093] For example, if the user authentication terminal type (D2) includes a smartphone and a desktop computer, the user (10) can register a user authentication terminal corresponding to a smartphone or desktop computer in the user authentication terminal information (U5). At this time, the user authentication terminal management unit (112) can additionally register a user authentication terminal if the type of terminal included in the user authentication terminal change request is a smartphone or a desktop computer.

[0094] User authentication terminal information stores the device identifier authenticated by the user, and may include information that can uniquely identify the authenticated terminal, such as product model name, MAC address information, and CPU ID.

[0095] In another embodiment of the present invention, the number of changes per period (D3) may refer to the number of times a user (10) is restricted from changing user authentication terminal information (U5), including registering and deleting the user authentication terminal information (U5), during a preset period.

[0096] For example, assuming that the number of changes per period (D3) is three times per month, a user (10) can change the user authentication terminal information (U5) up to three times in one month. In this case, the user authentication terminal management unit (112) can change the user authentication terminal information (U5) if the number of changes to the user authentication terminal of the user (10) in the past month is two.

[0097] FIG. 4 is a block diagram illustrating an order processing unit of an analog work and digital content linked sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0098] Referring to FIG. 4, the order processing unit (120) may include a delivery management unit (121) and an order information management unit (122).

[0099] When the delivery management department (121) receives purchase request information for analog works (30) and digital content online, it can request delivery to the delivery company (20) based on the purchase request information and user information.

[0100] At this time, the delivery company (20) delivers the analog work (30) to the user (10) and can provide delivery information (O6) including information on the delivery status, such as delivery completion, to the order processing unit (120).

[0101] The order information management unit (122) can manage order information. At this time, the order information includes at least one of an order number (O1), an invoice number (O2), an order status (O3), user information (O4), payment information (O5), and delivery information (O6), and can be updated depending on the situation.

[0102] Here, user information (O4) can be synchronized with user information of the user information DB (111).

[0103] FIG. 5 is a block diagram illustrating a digital content usage right provision unit of an analog work and digital content linked sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0104] Referring to FIG. 5, the digital content usage right provision unit (130) may include a usage right condition determination unit (131), a user usage right provision unit (132), and a user authentication terminal usage right provision unit (133).

[0105] The usage permission condition determination unit (131) may determine the usage permission condition based on the purchase confirmation response provided by the user (10) or the delivery information provided by the order information management unit (122). In this case, the purchase confirmation response may include an email, an app, a website, a QR code, a message, a call, a push notification, an NFC tag, a blockchain, etc., and the delivery information may include delivery completion information.

[0106] In an embodiment of the present invention, when a user (10) clicks a purchase confirmation button for order information on a website, the usage permission condition determination unit (131) can determine that the order information satisfies the usage permission conditions.

[0107] In another embodiment of the present invention, if the delivery information includes delivery completion information, the usage permission condition determination unit (131) may determine that the order information satisfies the usage permission condition.

[0108] If the order information is determined to be suitable for the conditions of use, the user use right provision unit (132) can provide the user (10) with the right to use digital content.

[0109] If the order information is determined to be suitable for the conditions of use, the user authentication terminal use right provision unit (133) may provide digital content use rights to some of the user authentication terminals of the user (10).

[0110] At this time, the right to use digital content may include at least one of the following rights: access, viewing, modification, download, and sharing of the digital content.

[0111] Here, the type of user authentication terminal supported may vary depending on each digital content.

[0112] Accordingly, even if the right to use digital content is determined to be suitable for the conditions of use, the right to use digital content may be provided only to some user authentication terminals, not all user authentication terminals of the user (10).

[0113] FIG. 6 is a block diagram illustrating an offline sales linkage of an analog work and digital content linkage sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0114] Referring to FIG. 6, the offline sales linkage unit (140) may include a token issuing unit (141) and an offline sales information receiving unit (142).

[0115] When a user (10) requests to purchase analog works and digital content offline, such as at an offline retail store, the token issuing unit (141) may issue a digital content usage right token to the user terminal. In this case, the digital content usage right token may be issued in a form including at least one of a QR code, a barcode, a text message, a phone call, an authentication number, and a blockchain.

[0116] In an embodiment of the present invention, a user (10) logs into an app or webpage using a user terminal and requests the purchase of analog works and digital content using an identifier such as an ISBN, barcode, or QR code included in an analog work “book,” and a token issuing unit (141) can issue a digital content usage right token to the user terminal.

[0117] Here, the user (10) transmits the digital content usage right token issued to the user terminal to the offline seller (40), and the offline seller (40) can perform authentication and payment for the token using the offline seller terminal. At this time, the generated offline payment information may include token authentication information.

[0118] At this time, the offline seller terminal refers to a terminal that includes the authority to perform authentication and payment for a digital content usage right token, and may include at least one of various devices such as a mobile phone such as a smartphone that performs wired or wireless communication, a mobile device such as a laptop, a tablet PC, and a PDA, a desktop computer, and a wearable device.

[0119] The offline payment information receiving unit (142) can receive offline payment information from an offline seller terminal and provide the received offline payment information to the digital content usage right providing unit (130).

[0120] Here, the digital content usage right provision unit (130) determines the usage right conditions of the digital content based on offline payment information, and if it is determined that the usage right conditions are met, the digital content usage right can be provided to the user or the user authentication terminal.

[0121] For example, if token authentication information is included in offline payment information, the digital content usage right provision unit (130) may determine that the offline payment information satisfies the usage right conditions and provide digital content usage right to the user or user authentication terminal. In this case, digital content usage right based on offline payment information may also be based on the presence or absence of token authentication information.

[0122] Figure 7 is a flowchart illustrating a method for selling analog works and digital content in conjunction with an embodiment of the present invention.

[0123] In step (S110), the digital content linkage sales system can receive purchase request information from a user terminal.

[0124] At step (S120), the digital content-linked sales system can request delivery from a delivery company and manage order information based on purchase request information and user information. The order information includes at least one of an order number, invoice number, order status, user information, payment information, and delivery information, and may be updated as needed.

[0125] Here, the delivery company delivers analog works to the user and can provide delivery information, including information on delivery status such as delivery completion, to the digital content-linked sales system.

[0126] In step (S130), the digital content linked sales system determines the conditions of use based on the purchase confirmation response or delivery information, and if it is determined that the conditions of use are met, it can provide the user or the user authentication terminal with the right to use the digital content.

[0127] Here, the right to use digital content may include at least one of the following rights: access, viewing, modification, download, and sharing of the digital content.

[0128] In step (S140), the digital content linkage sales system can authenticate the user and / or user terminal's digital content usage rights when the user requests to use digital content. Upon completion of authentication, the user and / or user terminal can then use the digital content.

[0129] Figure 8 is a flowchart illustrating an offline sales linkage process of a method for linking analog works and digital content sales according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0130] In step (S210), when a user requests to purchase analog works and digital content offline, such as at an offline retail store, the digital content-linked sales system may issue a digital content usage rights token to the user's terminal. The digital content usage rights token may be issued in a form including at least one of a QR code, barcode, text message, phone call, authentication number, or blockchain.

[0131] In an embodiment of the present invention, a user can log in to an app or webpage using a user terminal and then request to purchase analog works and digital content using identifiers such as ISBN, barcode, and QR code included in the analog work “book.”

[0132] Here, the user transfers the digital content usage rights token issued to the user terminal to the offline seller, and the offline seller can use the offline seller terminal to authenticate and process payment for the token. The generated offline payment information may include token authentication information.

[0133] At this time, the offline seller terminal refers to a terminal that includes the authority to perform authentication and payment for a digital content usage right token, and may include at least one of various devices such as a mobile phone such as a smartphone that performs wired or wireless communication, a mobile device such as a laptop, a tablet PC, and a PDA, a desktop computer, and a wearable device.

[0134] In step (S220), the digital content linkage sales system can receive offline payment information from the offline seller terminal.

[0135] In step (S230), the digital content-linked sales system determines the usage rights conditions for the digital content based on the received offline payment information. If the conditions are determined to be met, the system may provide the user or user authentication terminal with digital content usage rights. The digital content usage rights conditions based on offline payment information may also be based on the presence or absence of token authentication information.

[0136] In step (240), the digital content linkage sales system may authenticate the user and / or user terminal's digital content usage rights when the user requests to use digital content. Upon completion of authentication, the user and / or user terminal may be enabled to use the digital content.

[0137] FIG. 9 is a flowchart illustrating a user authentication terminal management process of an analog work and digital content linked sales system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0138] In step (S310), the digital content linkage sales system may receive a request to change a user authentication terminal. At this time, the change in the user authentication terminal may include registration or deletion.

[0139] In step (S320), the digital content-linked sales system can determine a request for a user authentication terminal change based on the user authentication terminal settings. The user authentication terminal settings include at least one of the following: the number of user authentication terminals, the type of user authentication terminal, and the number of changes per period, which can be easily configured by the administrator.

[0140] If the request for changing the user authentication terminal is suitable for the user authentication terminal settings, in step (S331), the digital content linkage sales system can change the user authentication terminal information based on the request for changing the user authentication terminal.

[0141] If the request for changing the user authentication terminal is not suitable for the user authentication terminal settings, in step (S332), the digital content linkage sales system can maintain the user authentication terminal information.
