Abstract
Description
Hair treatment tools CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This application is based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2023-204740, filed on December 4, 2023, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
[0002] The present disclosure relates to a hair treatment tool that includes tweezers and hair clippers.
[0003] As shown in Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2, conventional tweezers are configured by processing a metal plate to form a pair of clamping pieces, with the end of each clamping piece that clamps the hair as a tip end and the opposite end as a base end, and the pair of clamping pieces are joined at the base ends.
[0004] In the tweezers of Non-Patent Document 1, a predetermined length of each pair of clamping pieces in the longitudinal direction is defined as a base end, i.e., a joint portion, and the portion closer to the tip end than the base end is defined as a non-joint portion. Each clamping piece has the same width from the base end to the longitudinal center of the non-joint portion of each clamping piece, and the width narrows from the center toward the tip end. In addition, in the non-joint portion, the distance between the pair of clamping pieces gradually increases from the base end toward the tip end, and each clamping piece is bent near the tip end to bring them closer together. Each clamping piece is bent near the tip end, i.e., at the point where the width gradually narrows.
[0005] In the tweezers of Non-Patent Document 2, a predetermined length of each pair of clamping pieces is defined as a base end, i.e., a joint, and the portion closer to the tip than the base end is defined as a non-joint. Each clamping piece is wide near the longitudinal center of the base end and the non-jointed portion, and the width between them is narrowed. The non-jointed portion gradually narrows from the longitudinal center toward the tip, resulting in a pointed tip. At the non-jointed portion, the spacing between the pair of clamping pieces gradually widens from the base end toward the tip, and is then gradually widened by bending the clamping pieces near the center. Then, the clamping pieces are further bent at the point where the width gradually narrows near the tip to bring them closer together.
[0006] Furthermore, as shown in Non-Patent Document 3, there are tweezers in which a pair of clamping pieces are formed three-dimensionally using a mold, with the end of each clamping piece that clamps the hair as a distal end and the opposite end as a proximal end, and the pair of clamping pieces are joined at the proximal end. These tweezers also have a predetermined length of each pair of clamping pieces in the longitudinal direction as the proximal end, i.e., the jointed end, and the portion closer to the distal end than the proximal end as the non-jointed portion. The non-jointed portion has a thin portion closer to the proximal end and a thick portion closer to the distal end. The pair of clamping pieces are tapered toward the distal end, and the tapered portion is curved, narrowing the gap between them. The distal ends are also rounded.

[0008] However, when the base end is thick, as with the tweezers in Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2, a strong force is required to deform the pair of clamping pieces. In particular, a stronger force is required to increase the force with which the tip clamps the hair, which can easily tire the fingers when tweezers are used for a large number of hairs. Furthermore, the tweezers in Non-Patent Documents 1 to 3 have a bent or curved structure at the tapered tip end, meaning that the area where the fingers press and apply force during use is far from the tip, making it difficult to pinch hairs as if pinching them with the fingers. The present disclosure aims to provide a hair trimming tool that requires less force during use and allows users to pinch hairs as if pinching them with the fingers.
[0009] A first aspect of the present disclosure is a hair treatment tool which is composed of a pair of clamping pieces, with one direction being the longitudinal direction, an end on one side in the longitudinal direction being a tip end for clamping hair, and the other end on the longitudinal direction being a base end, which are joined to each other at the base end and the portion closer to the tip than the base end being a non-jointed portion, and which treats hair by plucking or cutting the hair clamped at the tip end, wherein the pair of clamping pieces are both made of metal plate and have a bent portion between the tip end and the base end, and are shaped so that the distance between them gradually increases from the base end to the bent portion and gradually decreases from the bent portion to the tip end, and the direction in which the pair of clamping pieces are arranged and a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction are taken as the width direction, and the width dimension gradually increases from the base end to the bent portion and gradually decreases from the bent portion to the tip end, and the bent portion is formed at a position closer to the tip end than the base end.
[0010] In this way, the width dimension gradually increases from the base end to the bent portion, and the width dimension gradually decreases from the bent portion to the tip portion. The bent portion is positioned closer to the tip portion.
[0011] When the bent portion is positioned closer to the tip, the part of the non-jointed portion that is pressed with the fingers is positioned closer to the tip. Therefore, when shaving hair, the fingers can be positioned closer to the tip, making it possible to shaving hair with a feeling similar to pinching hair with the fingers. When shaving hair, there are cases where it is desired to pinch hair by feeling without using a mirror, as well as cases where the target area is checked in a mirror. In such cases, it is easier to shaving hair with the fingers positioned closer to the tip.
[0012] Furthermore, when the bent portion is positioned closer to the tip, the angle θ1 between the non-jointed portion from the bent portion to the tip and the angle θ2 between the non-jointed portion from the bent portion to the base end relative to the longitudinal direction is such that angle θ1 > angle θ2. When treating hair, the larger the angle θ1, the stronger the gripping force on the hair when the same force is applied. In addition, the larger the angle θ1, the greater the distance between the portions of the pair of clamping pieces pressed by the fingers. This prevents the non-jointed portion from bending excessively while leaving room for bending, making it easier to apply additional force after pinching the hair. Furthermore, the larger the angle θ1, the more likely the finger force acts directly as a gripping force on the hair. Therefore, when treating hair, the hair can be gripped more firmly to prevent slippage, enabling more accurate hair treatment. Furthermore, since hair treatment can be performed with relatively little force, finger fatigue can be reduced even when treating multiple hairs. This makes the hair treatment tool easy to use for users of all ages and genders. In addition, since the tip end side is tapered from the bent part, when using the hair treatment tool by placing your finger on the base end side of the non-jointed part from the bent part, the hair to be treated is less likely to be hidden, making it easier to see the hair to be treated and treat it.
[0013] Furthermore, in hair trimming tools used for plucking or cutting, when in use, the pair of clamping pieces bend at the non-jointed portions that are separated from each other, allowing the tip portions to clamp the hair, but the non-jointed portions closest to the base end will be the ones that bend the most. For this reason, weakening the spring force at the non-jointed portion closest to the base end will reduce the force required for hair trimming.
[0014] On the other hand, increasing the width of the non-jointed portion that is pressed with a finger during use makes it easier to press. Also, gradually increasing the width of the non-jointed portion from the base end toward the bent portion allows the non-jointed portion to bend toward the base end while making the bent portion less likely to bend. If the non-jointed portion bends excessively over a wide range in the longitudinal direction, the distal ends of the pair of clamping pieces may not align. However, by limiting the area of the non-jointed portion that primarily bends toward the base end, excessive bending of the non-jointed portion can be prevented, allowing the distal ends of the pair of clamping pieces to be accurately aligned.
[0015] In the hair treating tool according to the second aspect of the present disclosure, the ratio D1 / D2, which is the ratio of the distance D1 from the tip end to the bent portion in the longitudinal direction to the distance D2 from the base end to the bent portion, is set to be equal to or greater than 1 / 4 and equal to or less than 1 / 7. By setting D1 / D2 to be equal to or greater than 1 / 4 and equal to or less than 1 / 7, the bent portion can be positioned closer to the tip end, which makes it easier to achieve the effects of treating hair with a feeling similar to pinching hair with fingers and of pinching hair more firmly during hair treatment.
[0016] In the hair treatment tool according to the third aspect of the present disclosure, W1 / W2, which is the ratio of the width dimension W1 of the bent portion of the non-jointed portion to the width dimension W2 of the portion closest to the base end, is set to be not less than 4 / 3 and not more than 3. By setting W1 / W2 to be not less than 4 / 3 and not more than 3, it is possible to make the bent portion have a width that is easy to press, while making the portion closest to the base end of the non-jointed portion narrower in width so that it is easier to bend.
[0017] In a hair treating tool according to a fourth aspect of the present disclosure, the pair of clamping pieces have a width dimension that decreases from the bent portion to the tip end, the tip end is rounded, and the tip end has flat surfaces that face each other, so that the tweezers pinch and pluck hairs with the flat surfaces. By rounding the tip end in this way, it is possible to prevent damage to the skin around the hair even if the tip end comes into contact with the skin.
[0018] In a hair treating tool according to a fifth aspect of the present disclosure, the widthwise dimension of the pair of clamping pieces decreases from the bent portion toward the tip, and the tip is linear along the widthwise direction, and the tip of each of the pair of clamping pieces is a hair-cutting portion that is pointed in the direction approaching the tip of the other of the pair of clamping pieces, and the hair is cut by clamping the hair with the hair-cutting portions and bringing the hair-cutting portions into line contact. In this way, by making the tip straight and making the tip of each of the pair of clamping pieces pointed in the direction approaching the tip of the other, it is possible to accurately cut the hair by clamping the hair with the pointed tip and applying force until the tip comes into line contact.

[0021] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following, including other embodiments described below, identical or equivalent parts will be denoted by the same reference numerals.
[0022] 1 to 4, a hair treatment tool 1 according to a first embodiment will be described. The hair treatment tool 1 is a tool for treating hair by plucking or clipping, and in this embodiment, a hair treatment tool 1 used as tweezers will be described.
[0023] 1 is configured to have a pair of clamping pieces 10, 20, with one end of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 joined together and the other end open. Hereinafter, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 located at the top of the page in Figure 1 will be referred to as the first clamping piece 10, and the other located at the bottom of the page will be referred to as the second clamping piece 20.
[0024] The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are configured such that the left-right direction of the paper in Figures 2 and 3 is the longitudinal direction, with one longitudinal end serving as a tip end 11, 21 for clamping the hair, and the other longitudinal end serving as a base end 12, 22. Both the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are made of metal plate. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 may be made of any material, but stainless steel is an example of such a material. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are formed, for example, by metal processing such as laser processing or press processing on a single metal plate. The thickness of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 is optional, but the thicker the piece, the greater the rigidity but the greater the force required during use. Therefore, the thickness is set to, for example, 2 mm or less, preferably 1 mm.
[0025] The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are disposed facing each other and are joined together at the base ends 12, 22, forming an integrated unit. The joining configuration at the base ends 12, 22 is arbitrary; for example, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are joined by spot welding at two locations along the longitudinal direction. Note that when local joining is performed, such as by spot welding, the entire base ends 12, 22 are not joined, but only a portion thereof is joined, with the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 simply contacting each other around that portion. For this reason, the portions of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 that are in contact with each other and at least a portion of which is joined are referred to as the base ends 12, 22.
[0026] The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have non-bonded portions 13 and 23 at the portions closer to the tip portions 11 and 21 than the base ends 12 and 22. At the non-bonded portions 13 and 23, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged with a gap between them. That is, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are spaced apart from the boundary between the base ends 12 and 22 and the non-bonded portions 13 and 23, in other words, the portions of the non-bonded portions 13 and 23 closest to the base ends 12 and 22, and a gap is provided. Here, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are bent away from each other at the boundary between the base ends 12 and 22 and the non-bonded portions 13 and 23, but they may be curved.
[0027] Furthermore, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have bent portions 14, 24 at the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are V-shaped when the hair treatment tool 1 is viewed from the side, as shown in Figure 3, and are bent in such a way that the tip ends 11, 21 of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 approach each other. Therefore, the gap between the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 gradually widens from the base ends 12, 22 to the bent portions 14, 24, and gradually narrows from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip ends 11, 21.
[0028] Here, as shown by the dashed-dotted line in Figure 3 , the center line C1 is a line that passes through the center of the first and second clamping pieces 10 and 20 in the direction in which they are arranged, and also passes through the center of the width direction (described later) as shown by the dashed-dotted line in Figure 2 , and that runs along the longitudinal direction of the hair treatment tool 1. Regarding the size of each portion of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 along this center line C1, the distance D1 from the most distal end of the distal end 11, 21 to the bent portion 14, 24 is smaller than the distance D2 from the bent portion 14, 24 to the portion of the non-jointed portion 13, 23 closest to the base end 12, 22. Specifically, the ratio D1 / D2 of the distance D1 to the distance D2 is greater than or equal to 1 / 4 and less than or equal to 1 / 7. For example, the length L1 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 along the center line C1 is 73±2 mm, the distance D1 is 11±1 mm, and the distance D2 is 62±1 mm. In this case, even if manufacturing errors are included, D1 / D2 is 1 / 6.3 to 1 / 5.1, so it is possible to reliably ensure that the above-mentioned D1 / D2 is within the range of 1 / 4 to 1 / 7.
[0029] The overall length L of the hair treatment tool 1 in the direction along the center line C1 and the length L2 of the base ends 12, 22 are arbitrary, but for example, the length L is 95±2 mm and the length L2 is 22±1 mm.
[0030] 3, when the hair treatment tool 1 is viewed from the side, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are linear from the boundary between the base end 12 and the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to the bent portions 14, 24, and are also linear from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip ends 11, 21. In other words, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are flat from the boundary between the base end 12 and the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to the bent portions 14, 24, and are also flat from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip ends 11, 21. Furthermore, because the bent portions 14, 24 are positioned closer to the distal ends 11, 21, the angle θ1 formed by the portion of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 from the bent portions 14, 24 to the distal ends 11, 21 and the angle θ2 formed by the portion of the bent portions 14, 24 to the base ends 12, 22, relative to the longitudinal direction of the hair treatment tool 1, are such that angle θ1 is greater than angle θ2. For example, the angle θ3 of the bent portions 14, 24 is 152 degrees, the angle θ1 is 22 degrees, and the angle θ2 is 6 degrees.
[0031] By setting the distances D1, D2 and angles θ1 to θ3 as described above, when no force is applied to the hair treatment tool 1, that is, when the non-jointed portions 13, 23 are not bent, there is a gap between the two tip ends 11, 21. When force is applied to the hair treatment tool 1 and the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 bend at the non-jointed portions 13, 23, the size of the gap between the two tip ends 11, 21 changes, and the tip ends 11, 21 come into contact with each other.
[0032] Furthermore, the width direction refers to the vertical direction of the paper in Fig. 2, i.e., the direction perpendicular to the direction perpendicular to the paper in Fig. 2 in which the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged, and also perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the hair treatment tool 1, i.e., the horizontal direction in Fig. 2. The dimension in this width direction gradually increases from the base ends 12, 22 to the bent parts 14, 24, and gradually decreases from the bent parts 14, 24 to the tip ends 11, 21.
[0033] 2, the widthwise dimension of the non-joint portions 13, 23 is greatest at the bent portions 14, 24 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base ends 12, 22, and is smallest at the boundary between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base ends 12, 22. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have symmetrical outer shapes with respect to the center line C1 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base ends 12, 22 of the non-joint portions 13, 23. In this embodiment, the widthwise dimension of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 increases linearly from the base ends 12, 22 to the bent portions 14, 24, and the side surfaces on both sides of the center line C1 are linearly inclined with respect to the center line C1.
[0034] Furthermore, in the non-joint portions 13, 23, the widthwise dimension is greatest at the bent portions 14, 24 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the tip portions 11, 21, and the widthwise dimension decreases toward the tip portions 11, 21. The tip portions 11, 21 are rounded and have an R-shape. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2 , the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have symmetrical outer shapes with respect to the center line C1 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the tip portions 11, 21 of the non-joint portions 13, 23. In this embodiment, excluding the R-shaped portions of the tip portions 11, 21, the widthwise dimension of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 on both sides of the center line C1 decreases linearly from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip portions 11, 21, and the side surfaces on both sides are linearly inclined with respect to the center line C1.
[0035] Regarding the widthwise dimensions of the non-jointed portions 13, 23, the dimension W1 at the bent portions 14, 24 is larger than the dimension W2 at the base end portions 12, 22, and the ratio of these dimensions, W1 / W2, is set to 4 / 3 or more and 3 or less. For example, the dimension W1 is set to 9±1 mm and the dimension W2 is set to 5.5±1 mm. In this case, even including manufacturing errors, the W1 / W2 ratio is 8 / 5.6 to 10 / 5.4. This ensures that the above-mentioned W1 / W2 ratio is within the range of 4 / 3 or more and 3 or less.
[0036] In addition, for example, in the direction along the center line C1, the length L3 of the rounded portion of the tip portions 11, 21 is 1±0.5 mm, and the length L4 of the non-rounded portion of the tip portions 11, 21 is 10±0.5 mm. The widthwise dimension W3 at the boundary between the rounded portion and the non-rounded portion is 3 mm.
[0037] The width of the base ends 12, 22 may be constant, or may narrow toward the rear ends 15, 25 shown in FIG. 3 , which are opposite the tip ends 11, 21. In this embodiment, the width of the base ends 12, 22 is made to decrease from the boundary with the non-bonded portions 13, 23 toward the rear ends 15, 25. For example, in the state where the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are formed into flat metal plates before processing, the widthwise dimension of the base ends 12, 22 is gradually decreased toward the rear ends 15, 25 so that the portions that will become the non-bonded portions 13, 23 and the portions that will become the base ends 12, 22 are straight. Furthermore, although the rear ends 15, 25 are rounded, they may also be straight along the widthwise direction.
[0038] 3 and 4, the portions of the tip portions 11, 21 that face each other are formed as opposing flat surfaces 11a, 21a. The flat surfaces 11a, 21a are formed by thinning the thickness of the tip portions 11, 21 in a predetermined range from the very tip of the tip portions 11, 21. The ranges that are formed as flat surfaces 11a, 21a are arbitrary, but in this example, the ranges of the tip portions 11, 21 that correspond to the R-shaped portions are formed as flat surfaces 11a, 21a. The hair treatment tool 1 according to this embodiment is constructed as described above.
[0039] [Method of Using the Hair Treating Tool 1] Next, a method of using the hair treating tool 1 according to this embodiment configured as described above will be described.
[0040] The hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment is used by holding it in the hand so that the pads or fingertips of the thumb and index finger touch the non-jointed portions 13, 23 closer to the bent portions 14, 24 than the bent portions 14, 24, and closer to the base ends 12, 22, as shown by the two-dot chain oval in Figure 3. Alternatively, the pads or fingertips of the thumb and index finger may directly touch the bent portions 14, 24.
[0041] After holding the hair treatment tool 1 in one hand, the user brings the hair treatment tool 1 to a position where the hair to be plucked is located between the flat surfaces 11a, 21a of the two tip portions 11, 21, and applies force with the fingertips to the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20. This reduces the gap between the non-jointed portions 13, 23, allowing the hair to be pinched by the flat surfaces 11a, 21a of the two tip portions 11, 21. The flat surfaces 11a, 21a formed on both tip portions 11, 21 allow for stable pinching of hair over a wide area. The user then moves the hair treatment tool 1 while pinching the hair, pulling it to remove the target hair. After plucking the hair, the user releases the pressure on the fingers, allowing the spring force of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 to return to their spring-loaded state, and the two tip portions 11, 21 are once again spaced apart, as shown in FIG. 1 . This allows for multiple hairs to be continuously plucked.
[0042] Effects of the Hair Treating Tool 1 The hair treating tool 1 according to the present embodiment described above can provide the following effects.
[0043] (1) In the hair treating tool 1 of this embodiment, the bent portions 14, 24 are positioned closer to the distal ends 11, 21. This positioning results in the portions of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are pressed with the fingers being positioned closer to the distal ends 11, 21. Therefore, when treating hair, the fingers can be positioned closer to the distal ends 11, 21, allowing the hair treating tool to be treated with a feeling similar to pinching hair with the fingers. Hair treating is not only performed when the target location is directly confirmed or while checking the target location in a mirror. For example, there are cases where the user wishes to pinch hair by feel without using a mirror. In such cases, it is easier to treat hair with the fingers positioned closer to the distal ends 11, 21. Therefore, by positioning the bent portions 14, 24 closer to the distal ends 11, 21, as in the hair treating tool 1 of this embodiment, the hair treating tool can be treated with a feeling similar to pinching hair with the fingers, and it is also easier to pinch hair by feel.
[0044] (2) When the bent portions 14, 24 are positioned closer to the distal ends 11, 21 as in the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the angle θ1 formed by the portion of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 extending from the bent portions 14, 24 to the distal ends 11, 21 relative to the longitudinal direction and the angle θ2 formed by the portion of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 extending from the bent portions 14, 24 to the proximal ends 12, 22 are such that angle θ1 > angle θ2. When treating hair, the greater the angle θ1, the stronger the force required to pinch the hair when the same force is applied. Additionally, the greater the angle θ1, the greater the distance between the portions of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 pressed by the fingers. This allows the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to bend without excessively bending, while still allowing room for bending, making it easier to apply additional force after pinching the hair. Furthermore, the greater the angle θ1, the more likely it is that finger force will directly act as a force to pinch the hair. Therefore, when treating hair, the hair can be gripped more firmly to prevent it from slipping, allowing for more accurate hair treatment, and since hair treatment can be performed with relatively little force, fingers do not tire easily even when treating multiple hairs. Therefore, the hair treatment tool 1 can be made easy to use for users of all ages and genders. Furthermore, because the tip ends 11, 21 are tapered from the bent portions 14, 24, when using the hair treatment tool 1 by placing the fingers on the base ends 12, 22 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 rather than the bent portions 14, 24, the hair to be treated is less likely to be hidden, making it easier to see the hair to be treated and treat it.
[0045] Furthermore, by creating a hair removal tool 1 that is easy for anyone to use, it becomes easier to keep the device clean by removing unwanted hair, which can contribute to Goal 3 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the United Nations Summit, which is to "ensure good health and well-being for all."
[0046] (3) In the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the width dimension gradually increases from the base end 12, 22 to the bent portion 14, 24, and the width dimension gradually decreases from the bent portion 14, 24 to the tip end 11, 21.
[0047] In the hair trimming tool 1 used for tweezers, when in use, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 bend at the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are separated from each other, allowing the distal ends 11, 21 to clamp hair, but the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are closest to the proximal ends 12, 22 are the ones that bend most. For this reason, weakening the spring force at the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are closest to the proximal ends 12, 22 reduces the force required for hair trimming. Furthermore, because tweezers can be used with a relatively weak force, only a small force is required to be applied to the joints of the proximal ends 12, 22, making the joints less likely to come apart.
[0048] On the other hand, increasing the width of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 makes it easier to press the portions that are pressed with a finger during use. Also, gradually increasing the width of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 from the base ends 12, 22 toward the bent portions 14, 24 allows the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to bend toward the base ends 12, 22 while making the bent portions 14, 24 less likely to bend. Excessive bending of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 over a wide longitudinal range can cause the distal ends 11, 21 of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 to become misaligned. However, by limiting the areas of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that primarily bend toward the base ends 12, 22, excessive bending of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 can be prevented, allowing the distal ends 11, 21 of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 to be accurately aligned.
[0049] (4) In the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, W1 / W2, which is the ratio of the width dimension W1 at the bent portions 14, 24 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to the width dimension W2 at the most proximal end 12, 22 side, is set to be 4 / 3 or more and 3 or less. By setting W1 / W2 to be 4 / 3 or more and 3 or less, it is possible to make the bent portions 14, 24 have a width that is easy to push, while making the most proximal end 12, 22 side of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 narrower in width, making them easier to bend.
[0050] (5) The width of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 decreases from the bent portions 14, 24 toward the tip portions 11, 21, and the tip portions 11, 21 are rounded, so that the tweezers pinch and pluck hairs with the opposing flat surfaces 11a, 21a of the tip portions 11, 21. By rounding the tip portions 11, 21 in this way, it is possible to prevent the skin around the hair from being injured even if the tip portions 11, 21 come into contact with the skin.
[0051] (6) The pair of clamping pieces 10 can be made of a simple metal plate, which allows for a clean, unobtrusive design that is easy to use. Furthermore, the hair treatment tool 1 can be easily cleaned and wiped, allowing it to be kept clean.
[0052] (7) In the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 can be formed by processing a flat metal plate. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have the same shape. Therefore, when the flat first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are cut out from a single flat metal plate before the bent portions 14, 24, etc. are formed, they can be cut out as close together as possible. That is, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are cut out adjacent to each other so that the leading end 11 of the first clamping piece 10 and the rear end 25 of the second clamping piece 20 are adjacent to each other, and the rear end 15 of the first clamping piece 10 and the leading end 21 of the second clamping piece 20 are adjacent to each other. This allows for almost no wasted excess material.
[0053] In this way, waste can be reduced, contributing to SDG Goal 12, "Responsible Consumption and Production."
[0054] Furthermore, when integrating the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20, it is only necessary to join the base end portions 12, 22, which are smaller in width than the other portions, and therefore joining can be done with only two spot welding points, as described above. This simplifies the joining process of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 and makes it possible to save energy. This will lead to climate change mitigation and impact reduction, and can also contribute to SDG Goal 13, "Take urgent action to combat climate change."
[0055] Second Embodiment A hair treatment tool 1 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 5 to 7. In this embodiment, a hair treatment tool 1 used as a hair cutter will be described. Note that this embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that the shapes of the tip portions 11 and 21 are changed, but the rest of the present embodiment is the same as the first embodiment, so only the differences from the first embodiment will be described.
[0056] As shown in Figures 5 to 7, in the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the tip portions 11, 21 are linear along the width direction. The width dimension W4 of the tip portions 11, 21 is 2.5 to 4 mm, preferably 3 mm. As shown in Figure 7, the tip portions 11, 21 are pointed toward each other, and these pointed portions form the hair cutting portions 11b, 21b. These hair cutting portions 11b, 21b are aligned so that they come into linear contact with each other when the hair treatment tool 1 is pressed with a finger to deflect the non-jointed portions 13, 23. Therefore, when using the hair treatment tool 1, hair can be pinched between the hair cutting portions 11b, 21b and cut by increasing the pressure of the finger.
[0057] More specifically, the tip end of the tip 11 of the first clamping piece 10 protrudes the most from one surface facing the tip 21 of the second clamping piece 20. Similarly, the tip end of the tip 21 of the second clamping piece 20 protrudes the most from one surface facing the tip 11 of the first clamping piece 10. The angle of the hair cutting portion 11b, i.e., the angle between the end face of the tip 11 and the surface of the tip 11 facing the tip 21, is an acute angle, and the angle of the hair cutting portion 21b, i.e., the angle between the end face of the tip 21 and the surface of the tip 21 facing the tip 11, is also an acute angle. In this way, the tip of each hair cutting portion 11b, 21b is sharply pointed, and when using the hair treatment tool 1, by applying force until the hair cutting portions 11b, 21b come into line contact with each other, the hair held by the hair cutting portions 11b, 21b can be easily cut.
[0058] In this way, the hair treatment tool 1 can also be used as a hair clipper. In this case, the structure can be the same as that of the first embodiment except for the shape of the tip portions 11 and 21. This allows for the same effects as those of the first embodiment to be obtained.
[0059] (Other Embodiments) The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the claims. Furthermore, in each of the above-described embodiments, the elements constituting the embodiments are not necessarily essential unless specifically stated as essential or clearly considered essential in principle. Furthermore, in each of the above-described embodiments, when numerical values such as the number, numerical value, amount, and range of components of the embodiments are mentioned, they are not limited to the specific number unless specifically stated as essential or clearly limited to a specific number in principle. Furthermore, in each of the above-described embodiments, when the shape, positional relationship, etc. of components, etc. are mentioned, they are not limited to the shape, positional relationship, etc. unless specifically stated or limited to a specific shape, positional relationship, etc. in principle.
[0060] For example, while the above embodiments have shown preferred examples of the dimensions of the components constituting the hair treatment tool 1, the above dimensions are not necessarily required. Furthermore, in the above embodiments, the side surfaces of the first and second clamping pieces 10 and 20 on both sides of the center line C1 are linearly inclined relative to the center line C1, but this is merely an example. For example, it is sufficient that the width of the non-jointed portions 13 and 23 gradually increases from the base ends 12 and 22 to the bent portions 14 and 24, and that the width of the non-jointed portions 13 and 23 gradually decreases from the bent portions 14 and 24 to the distal ends 11 and 21. Therefore, the side surfaces of the first and second clamping pieces 10 and 20 on both sides of the center line C1 may be curved rather than linear.
[0061] Furthermore, in each of the above embodiments, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 that make up the hair treatment tool 1 are formed by processing a flat metal plate, but this is merely an example. That is, the widest portions of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 are the bent portions 14, 24, and the areas near the bent portions 14, 24 need only be shaped so that they can be pressed directly with fingers. Therefore, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 may be formed as a metal plate by casting using a mold, for example. However, forming the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 by processing a flat metal plate simplifies the manufacturing process and reduces the amount of wasted material, thereby contributing to the achievement of SDGs Goals 12 and 13.
