Abstract
Roof hoist (1) and method therefore comprising three legs (2,3,4), meeting in an apex (5), one leg being telescopic, a cable (6) connected to a winch (7) for reeling the cable in and out, the cable follow the third leg to the apex and a portion of it is hanging down to a free end (8), attach a load to free end, the telescopic leg is ex- tendable from a first position when it is in its shortest form to a second position when it is in its longest form, a stop (9) is provided on the cable between the free end and the apex, providing a shortening of the telescopic leg when the stop is at the apex and the cable is reeled in, and a holding means (11, 31) for the cable is arranged at or in the vicinity of a movable part, holding the cable in fix relation the movable part during lengthening of the telescopic leg.
