[0055] With the rise of intelligent connected vehicles, intelligent controllers for different levels of intelligent cockpits have been widely used in vehicles, becoming a key competitive advantage for domestic automakers in both domestic and international markets. Because of this, the differentiation of intelligent controller content and the size of intelligent software have become increasingly uncontrollable. Compared to conventional vehicle controllers and their software, intelligent controller software is extremely large. Meanwhile, to shorten development cycles and reduce costs, OEMs have invested heavily in platform-based hardware and software design. Currently, major domestic OEMs and suppliers have achieved platform-based hardware design and production, as well as common software design. However, due to the excessive size of intelligent controller software and the long upgrade time, it cannot be flashed online on the production line like traditional controllers. Therefore, a large number of part numbers are used to differentiate intelligent controllers, leading to:
[0056] (1) Increased management costs due to a large number of part numbers, including for OEMs and suppliers;
[0057] (2) Suppliers’ production efficiency has decreased significantly, and production lines have to be adjusted due to part number switching, requiring additional production line tooling and testing equipment.
[0058] (3) After-sales maintenance and change management are difficult, and new after-sales quality risks may arise due to management problems;
[0059] (4) The cost of reworking parts is high, and there are delays in reworking due to differences in function and software;
[0060] (5) Reduced vehicle production efficiency and indistinguishable appearance of parts due to platformization, making it impossible to differentiate them through ordinary error prevention measures.
[0061] Based on the above problems, this application proposes an online update method for vehicle intelligent controllers. By combining OTA differential technology with the production system, point-to-point rapid flashing and updating can be achieved, separating software from hardware or vehicle model. Production system production is not restricted by part numbers, which can save a lot of costs and time in production preparation, state switching management, and software management.
[0062] As shown in FIG. 2, the online updating system of the vehicle intelligent controller can include a production entry device 1, an intelligent controller upgrade APP 2, a Wi-Fi hotspot 3, a production management background 4, an electrical inspection device 5, and an OTA server 6. The production entry device 1 is a two-dimensional code and bar code scanning device, which can scan and identify the information on the intelligent controller label, such as the supplier, hardware part number, software and hardware version, device serial number, and the vehicle VIN code on the loading list, and upload the information to the production management background 4. The intelligent controller upgrade APP 2 is used to preset the name and key of the Wi-Fi hotspot 3 in the production site, and can automatically connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot by clicking, and establish a link with the production management background 4, and execute the upgrade task issued by the production management background 4 and receive the upgrade software package as a client. The Wi-Fi hotspot 3 is used as a router to connect the intelligent controller upgrade APP 2 and the production management background 4. The production management background 4 is used to maintain the whole vehicle configuration information, whole vehicle production information, and whole vehicle BOM (Bill of Materials) information, and bind the information uploaded by the intelligent controller upgrade APP 2 with the preset information, and issue the corresponding upgrade instruction and upgrade software package after the binding is correct. The electrical inspection device 5 is a production configuration management device, which can perform software refreshing, diagnosis, and all controller part number, software and hardware version information correction on the whole vehicle according to the whole vehicle configuration information, and upload the intelligent controller software and hardware version information to the production management background 4. The OTA server 6 is an after-sales OTA upgrade management platform, which is used to manage and execute the OTA upgrade task.
[0063] A server is developed in the production management background 4 to manage and match vehicle information, intelligent controller information and software version information, and to deploy intelligent controller upgrade tasks according to production plan requirements; an upgrade APP, i.e., the intelligent controller upgrade APP 2, is developed in the intelligent controller to realize wireless network connection and server login authentication, and to manage software upgrade tasks and display screen control and the like; a full-featured software is developed based on a full-quantity hardware platform, and all subsequent mass production software iterations are based on the first full-featured software for differential iteration upgrade. The production line scans the intelligent controller tag QR code and the VIN code of the vehicle to be assembled together through a production assembly line QR code scanning tool and adds them to the production management background 4. The production management background 4 establishes a binding correspondence relationship among the hardware part number, the software part number and the vehicle VIN code, and combines production tasks and engineering configuration information to push the upgrade management service to the intelligent controller of the vehicle being produced and to manage the software and hardware versions. At the same time, the data can be uploaded to the OTA server in real time to realize synchronous OTA push management after the vehicle is put on the market.
