Description

[0001] MULTI-FUNCTIONAL WATER FILTER

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The invention relates to home and industrial type water filtration systems and relates to a multifunctional water filter mechanism that allows bi-directional installation of water filter devices, configuration as single or multiple filters, and system changes.

[0004] State of the Art

[0005] Water filtration systems are one of the basic elements of hygienic and safe production processes in sectors where household and industrial filtration systems are used. Water is used both as a component and actively in cleaning and sterilization processes. Therefore, it is of great importance to purify the particles, chemicals, microorganisms and other pollutants in the water. Water purification systems used in the food industry generally have a certain flow capacity and are configured according to the needs of the production facilities.

[0006] The current water filtration systems mostly have a single filter structure. Although filters are designed to remove unwanted substances from water, the fact that the systems are limited to a single filter keeps the water purification capacity and performance at a certain level. Additionally, single-filter systems may be inadequate to meet high flow requirements, which may cause disruptions in production processes.

[0007] Multiple filter usage is not possible in the current systems. One of the main reasons for this is that the present designs are optimized for single filter usage. The current systems do not have the connection elements and mounting structures that support multiple filter usage. In addition, due to the increased cost of multiple filter systems, sufficient priority has not been given to the development of such systems. Additionally, there is no design that allows users to update their filter configurations without having to change current systems.

[0008] In the food industry (household and industrial filtration systems), the need for increased water flow and more effective purification solutions reveals the need for multiple filter systems. The use of multiple filters can increase purification performance, allowing more effective removal of contaminants from water. Additionally, these systems can support higher water flow rates and provide a solution that can meet the needs of users, especially in intensive production processes. In this context, it reveals the necessity of eliminating the deficiencies in existing systems and developing more innovative and flexible solutions.

[0009] As a result, the need for a multi-functional water filter system that eliminates the disadvantages of the present art and the inadequacy of the existing solutions have necessitated a development in the relevant technical field.

[0010] Brief Description of the Invention

[0011] The present invention relates to home and industrial type water filtration systems that meet the above-mentioned requirements, eliminate all disadvantages and bring some additional advantages, and relates to a multi-functional water filter mechanism that allows water filtering devices to be installed bi-directionally, configured as single or multiple filters and allows system changes.

[0013] The object of the invention is to enable the system to be easily installed in different positions, thanks to the ability to mount it bi-directionally, front and back.

[0014] Another object of the invention is to provide solutions suitable for users' changing water flow needs, thanks to the single filter or multiple filter installation options.

[0015] Another object of the invention is to increase the flow rate of water by using the multiple filter method and thus to meet more water needs compared to existing single filter systems.

[0016] Another object of the invention is to enable the user to reconfigure the system without purchasing a new product by means of offering the possibility of system change.

[0017] Another object of the invention is to ensure that the filters can be easily positioned, thanks to the lower diffuser placed inside the chamber having a structure that allows the filter to be placed on it and the upper diffuser to be added. Another object of the invention is to ensure a reliable and solid assembly of the system by means of the chamber tooth engagement tab supporting the connection between the chamber and the lower diffuser.

[0018] Another object of the invention is to enable the use of filters in different combinations by allowing multiple filters to be connected by rotating the lower diffuser 180 degrees (turning it upside down).

[0019] Another object of the invention is to ensure compatibility with the multiple filter method by connecting the upper diffuser to the upper part of the filter and rotating it 180 degrees (turning it upside down).

[0020] Another object of the invention is to ensure that the assembly is carried out quickly and reliably, thanks to the upper diffuser connection piece transition tab supporting the connection with the upper diffuser.

[0021] Another object of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the water filtration process by having the upper diffuser connection piece have a significant effect on the water outlet flow rate.

[0022] Another object of the invention is to provide a new solution for water filtration systems that is more flexible, user-friendly and operates efficiently.

[0054] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0055] In this detailed description, the subject of the invention relates to home and industrial type water filter systems, and the multi-functional water filter mechanism (A), which allows bi-directional installation of water filter devices, configuration as single or multiple filters (10) and system changes, is described only as an example for a better understanding of the subject and in a way that does not form any limiting effect.

[0056] Multi-functional water filter mechanism (A) shown in Figure 1 comprises at least one filter (10) that performs water filtering; the chamber (20) in which the filter (10) is positioned and which protects all parts and creates the water flow rate with its volume; the cover (30) that closes the upper part of the said chamber (20); the lower diffuser (40) that is connected to the bottom of the filter (10), configured for the use of one single filter (10) on one side and multiple filters (10) on the other, and that enables the transformation from a single filter (10) connection to a multiple filter (10) connection or vice versa by turning these surfaces upside down on the vertical axis; the upper diffuser (50) that is connected to the top of the filter (10), one side of which is configured for the use of a single filter (10) and the other side for the use of multiple filters (10), and which enables the transformation from a single filter (10) connection to a multiple filter (10) connection or vice versa by reversing these surfaces on the vertical axis; the upper diffuser connection piece (60) that is positioned at the top and is important for the outlet flow rate of the water, to which the said upper diffuser (50) is connected; the chamber side hanger apparatus (70) that provides 180-degree movement capability to the chamber (20) to ensure ergonomic ease of use and allows it to be fixed to the wall at the desired angle; the inlet and outlet sleeves (80) that are positioned at the connection point of the chamber (20) and the installation pipe, which also affect the water flow rate, in order to ensure that the water enters and exits the chamber (20) smoothly and without leakage; the wall hanger apparatus (90) that is connected to the chamber hanger side apparatus (70) to be used in mounting the chamber (20) to the desired location with the connection elements; the sleeve segments (100) to prevent the inlet and outlet sleeves (80) from coming out of their places during operation, which ensure the smooth entry and exit of water; the O-ring (110) that is positioned between the chamber (20) and the cover (30) to prevent water leakage when the cover (30) is closed; the intermediate nipple (130) to connect the chambers (20) to each other when using multiple filters (10); the drain hole (120) that is positioned at the bottom of the chamber (20) to drain the waste water to the outside. The said chamber side hanger apparatus (70) can be duplicated in both directions as right and left, during the duplication of the chamber (20). Thanks to the said chamber side hanger apparatus (70), the chambers (20) can be lined up side by side, either singly or in large numbers. In the inner part of the chamber (20) shown in Figure-2, the chamber tooth engagement tab (21) is positioned in the form of a protrusion to support its connection with the lower diffuser (40). On the edge of the lower diffuser (40), there is a lower diffuser chamber transition gap (41) in the form of a slot through which the chamber tooth engagement tab (21) in the form of a protrusion passes. Along the edge line of the upper diffuser (50), the upper diffuser connection piece transition tab (51 ) is positioned, which supports the connection with the chamber (20).

[0057] The multi-functional water filter mechanism (A), which is the subject of the invention, is a water filtering system and ensures that the water is purified from dirt with the help of the filter (10) it contains. The large size of the chamber (20) keeps the water flow rate high and provides performance. The cover (30) also forms the water inlet and outlet volume. The volume of the mentioned multi-functional water filter mechanism (A) is kept high and its performance is preserved.

[0058] The lower diffuser (40) traps the filter (10) from the lower part and keeps it fixed in place. In order to connect the said filter (10), there is a lower diffuser protrusion (42) on one surface of the lower diffuser (40) and on the other surface of more than one filter (10) connection. The said lower diffuser (40) can be moved 180 degrees (turned upside down) within the chamber (20) and, depending on the demand, it can be used as a single filter (10) as shown in Figure-3 by bringing the surface with the single lower diffuser protrusion (42) upwards or as a multiple filter (10) by bringing the surface with multiple lower diffuser protrusions (42) upwards. In addition, waste water is easily discharged from the drain hole (120) located at the bottom of the chamber (20) through the slots inside. The lower diffuser chamber transition gap (41) enables the lower diffuser (40) to be positioned inside the chamber (20).

[0059] A switch (140) is integrated on the cover (30) of the chamber (20) shown in Figure-4a to open it without the need for an extra tool or apparatus. The said switch (140) is connected to the chamber (20) by means of the switch connection (141) shown in Figure-4b and remains on the chamber constantly. The said switch (140) can be easily folded towards the body of the chamber (20) and closed when not in use. When needed, it can be opened by lifting it upwards. The upper diffuser (50) traps the filter (10) from the upper part and keeps it fixed in place. In order to connect the said filter (10), there is an upper diffuser protrusion (52) on one surface of the upper diffuser (50) and on the other surface of more than one filter (10) connection. The said upper diffuser (50) can be moved 180 degrees (turned upside down) within the chamber (20) and, depending on the demand, it can be used as a single filter (10) by bringing the surface with the single upper diffuser protrusion (52) downwards or as a multiple filter (10) by bringing the surface with multiple upper diffuser protrusions (52) downwards. This supports the transition from the upper diffuser connection piece transition tab (51 ) to the upper diffuser connection piece (60). The said upper diffuser connection piece (60) collects the water coming from more than one separate filter (10) at a single point and ensures its flow and the positioning of the upper diffuser (50) inside the chamber (20). Between the said upper diffuser (50) and the upper diffuser connection piece (60), there is the upper diffuser cover (53) that traps the upper diffuser (50) to prevent it from moving.

[0060] Thanks to the cover (30), the chamber side hanger apparatus (70), the inlet and outlet sleeves (80), the wall hanger apparatus and the sleeve segments (100), the filters (10) can be moved and mounted at the desired angle to provide ergonomic ease of use, as shown in figure-5a, figure-5b, figure-5c and figure-5d. The dimensions of the inlet and outlet sleeves (80) that allow water to enter the chamber (20) from the installation pipe and to exit the chamber (20) are very important for the water flow rate. The positioning of the chamber (20) becomes easier with the 180-degree movement of the wall hanger (90), and the movement of the chamber (20) during operation is prevented by screwing it with the help of the screw slots on it. The sleeve segments (100) are preferably used in 2 pieces as right and left, and ensure that the inlet and outlet sleeves (80) are fixed in the slot.

[0061] In a preferred embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 6a, four filters (10) are connected to the multi-functional water filter mechanism (A) at the same time. The multi-functional water filter mechanism (A) provides higher purification performance by passing water through four different compartments of the filter. In this application, the filter (10) is placed inside the chamber (20) and the connection is provided using the lower diffuser (40) and the upper diffuser (50) for each filter (10). Each filter (10) helps to purify the water from contaminants by enabling the purification of the water in different stages. In the four-filter (10) system, the transition between the lower diffuser (40) and the upper diffuser (50) keeps each filter (10) fixed in place, ensuring the regular operation of the filters (10). The lower diffuser (40) and the upper diffuser (50) are rotated 180 degrees so that their surfaces, which have four upper diffuser protrusions (52) and four lower diffuser protrusions (42) inside the chamber (20), face each other.
