Abstract
Description
Skin and interior materials
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a skin member and an interior member.
[0002] Interior components are installed in vehicles, ships, aircraft, buildings, or other interior spaces. In recent years, interior components that incorporate a light source and express designs using light have been proposed. For example, an interior component has been proposed that incorporates one or more switches and expresses designs (e.g., shapes, patterns, or letters) that indicate the type or function of each switch using light.
[0003] In such interior components, a skin material is laminated on the light source and various switches. Furthermore, the skin material has a multi-layer structure, which may include a light-blocking layer having a shape corresponding to a desired design. Light from the light source is blocked by the light-blocking layer of the skin material. Meanwhile, this light passes through the skin material in areas other than the light-blocking layer. This allows a specific light-induced design to appear on the design surface of the skin material, and ultimately on the design surface of the interior component. It is preferable that the light-blocking layer has a certain thickness or more on the surface of the skin material, so as to prevent leakage of light from the light source.
[0004] Patent Document 1 discloses a sensor assembly including a light-transmitting skin and a sensor layer disposed on the back side of the skin. Patent Documents 2 and 3 disclose a resin molded body having a multi-layer structure.

[0006] In interior parts, leakage of light from the periphery of an area where a design is expressed by light can cause a loss of clarity of the design. The present disclosure provides a skin member and an interior member that can suppress light leakage.
[0007] A skin member according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a skin layer having a design surface including an uneven shape, a light-transmitting layer that is provided on the side of the skin layer opposite the design surface and has light-transmitting properties, and a light-shielding layer that is provided on the side of the light-transmitting layer opposite the skin layer, and the surface of the light-transmitting layer on which the light-shielding layer is provided is flat.
[0008] An interior member according to another aspect of the present disclosure includes an intermediate member having a first opening and cushioning properties, a skin member disposed on a first surface of the intermediate member, and a light-blocking base material disposed on a second surface of the intermediate member opposite the first surface, the second opening overlapping the first opening, wherein the skin member includes a skin layer having a design surface including an uneven shape, a light-transmitting layer disposed on the surface of the skin layer opposite the design surface, and a light-blocking layer disposed on the light-transmitting layer opposite the skin layer, and the surface of the light-transmitting layer on which the light-blocking layer is disposed is flat.
[0009] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide a skin member and an interior member that can suppress leakage of light.
[0010] Fig. 1 is a diagram illustrating an interior member installed in a vehicle cabin. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing an enlarged view of a portion of a skin member. Fig. 3 is a micrograph showing the surfaces of the skin layer and the light-transmitting layer of the skin member. Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing another embodiment of a skin member. Fig. 5 is an explanatory view for explaining the effects of the present disclosure. Fig. 6 is an explanatory view showing a manufacturing method of an interior member.
[0011] As shown in FIG. 1 , an interior member 1 is installed in a vehicle C. In this embodiment, the interior member 1 is a dashboard, but the interior member 1 is not limited to this. For example, the interior member 1 may be an armrest, a door trim, a seat, or other interior member in a vehicle. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the interior member 1 is installed inside the vehicle C, but the installation location of the interior member 1 is not limited to this. For example, the interior member 1 may be installed in an aircraft, a ship, a building, or other interior space.
[0012] In this embodiment, the interior member 1 incorporates one or more switches. A switch area 2, which displays a design indicating the type or function of each switch, is provided on the surface of the interior member 1 (i.e., the design surface facing the passenger compartment). The switch area 2 is an area that the user touches or presses to operate the corresponding switch.
[0013] The switch area 2 may include a fan design, the letters "ON / OFF," and "-" and "+" symbols to indicate switches for controlling an air conditioner, for example. The switch area 2 also includes a light-shielding portion 2a and a light-transmitting portion 2b. The light-transmitting portion 2b transmits light from a light source 20 (see FIG. 2 ) located on the back side of the interior member 1. The light-shielding portion 2a transmits less light from the light source 20 than the light-transmitting portion 2b, or does not transmit light at all. In this embodiment, the above-described pattern or the like is formed by the light-transmitting portion 2b located within the light-shielding portion 2a. When the light source 20 located on the back side of the interior member 1 is turned on, the light passing through the light-transmitting portion 2b creates a specific design on the surface of the interior member 1. On the other hand, when the light source 20 is turned off, the light-transmitting portion 2b may become dark enough to be indistinguishable from the light-shielding portion 2a. In this embodiment, a design indicating the type or function of the switches is expressed on the surface of the interior member 1, but the design that appears on the surface of the interior member 1 is not limited to this. A design that decorates the appearance of the interior member 1 and is unrelated to the switches may also be expressed on the surface of the interior member 1.
[0014] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the interior member 1 in the switch region 2. As shown in FIG. 2, the interior member 1 includes an intermediate member 11 having a first surface 11a and a second surface 11b opposite the first surface 11a, a skin member 12 disposed on the first surface 11a of the intermediate member 11, and a base material 13 disposed on the second surface 11b of the intermediate member 11. The intermediate member 11 has a first opening 11c penetrating in the stacking direction of the skin member 12 and the base material 13 (the direction of the arrow Z in FIG. 2). The base material 13 has a second opening 13c penetrating in the stacking direction and overlapping with the first opening 11c. The skin member 12 blocks the first opening 11c in the stacking direction. In this embodiment, the stacked portion of the first opening 11c and the second opening 13c corresponds to the switch region 2 described above.
[0015] The base material 13 supports the intermediate member 11 and the skin member 12 and functions as a framework for maintaining the shape of the interior member 1. The base material 13 has a shape that can be used as, for example, a dashboard. The base material 13 has a first surface 13a facing the intermediate member 11 and a second surface 13b opposite to the first surface 13a.
[0016] The substrate 13 is a resin molded member formed from a resin having light-blocking properties. The resin having light-blocking properties may be a resin that itself exhibits light-blocking properties, or a resin that exhibits light-blocking properties by containing a black pigment even if the resin itself does not have light-blocking properties. Examples of resins that can be selected include ABS resin, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), acrylic resin, polycarbonate (PC), polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and modified polyphenylene ether (modified PPE).
[0017] The intermediate member 11 is adhered to the first surface 13a of the base material 13. The intermediate member 11 has cushioning properties and imparts a soft texture to the interior member 1. The intermediate member 11 has a thickness of, for example, 1 mm or more and 5 mm or less.
[0018] The intermediate member 11 is, for example, a thin plate-shaped flexible polyurethane foam. The intermediate member 11 is formed, for example, as follows: First, a raw material mixture containing polyol, polyisocyanate, a catalyst, and a foam stabilizer is prepared. The raw material mixture is poured onto release paper, passes through a heating furnace, and foams and hardens to form a block-shaped polyurethane foam. This block-shaped polyurethane foam is then sliced to form a thin plate-shaped polyurethane foam.
[0019] The skin member 12 is disposed on the first surface 11a of the intermediate member 11. The skin member 12 may be adhered to the first surface 11a of the intermediate member 11 with an adhesive or frame lamination. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 2, the end portion of the skin member 12 may be wrapped around the intermediate member 11 and the base material 13 and fixed to the second surface 13b of the base material 13 by ultrasonic waves or the like. The skin member 12 has a first surface 12a and a second surface 12b opposite to the first surface 12a and facing the intermediate member 11. The skin member 12 gives the interior member 1 a desired appearance and texture.
[0020] In this embodiment, the interior member 1 further includes a light-transmitting base material 17, a light-transmitting touch sensor 18, and a circuit board 19 on which a light source 20 is mounted.
[0021] The light-transmitting base material 17 is, for example, a resin-molded member formed from a light-transmitting resin, such as ABS resin, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), acrylic resin, polycarbonate (PC), polyamide, or polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
[0022] The light-transmitting substrate 17 is attached to the second surface 13b of the base material 13 with an attachment member 23 such as a screw. The light-transmitting substrate 17 has a protrusion 17a that is inserted into the second opening 13c of the base material 13. The height of the protrusion 17a (the size in the direction of arrow Z in FIG. 2 ) is equal to the thickness of the base material 13 (the size in the direction of arrow Z in FIG. 2 ). In this embodiment, the protrusion 17a fills the second opening 13c. The protrusion 17a prevents damage to the cover member 12, the light-transmitting touch sensor 18, and the light source 20 caused by excessive pressure on the switch area 2 by the user.
[0023] A cushion material 22, which is separate from the intermediate member 11 and is inserted into the first opening 11c of the intermediate member 11, is adhered to the outer surface 17b of the protrusion 17a. The thickness of the cushion material 22 is equal to the thickness of the intermediate member 11 or is approximately 0.5 mm thinner than the thickness of the intermediate member 11. In this embodiment, the cushion material 22 fills the first opening 11c of the intermediate member 11. The cushion material 22 provides a soft texture to the user pressing the switch area 2. The cushion material 22 is, for example, soft polyurethane foam of the same quality as the intermediate member 11, which is formed in a thin plate shape, but is not limited to this and may also be silicone rubber or a fibrous material.
[0024] The light-transmitting touch sensor 18 is, for example, a light-transmitting flexible circuit board on which a capacitive touch sensor is mounted. The light-transmitting touch sensor 18 is attached to the inner surface 17c of the protrusion 17a. The light-transmitting touch sensor 18 detects that the user has touched the switch area 2, generates a signal, and transmits the generated signal to an external controller.
[0025] The light source 20 may be an LED, a laser, an incandescent lamp, a fluorescent lamp, or another light source. The circuit board 19 is attached to the back surface 17d of the light-transmitting base material 17 with a mounting member such as a screw, with the light source 20 disposed inside the protrusion 17a.
[0026] In this embodiment, the interior member 1 further includes a light-shielding portion 14 provided on an end surface 11d of the intermediate member 11 within the first opening 11c. The end surface 11d of the intermediate member 11 is an inner peripheral surface surrounding the first opening 11c. The light-shielding portion 14 prevents the intermediate member 11 from receiving (transmitting) light at the end surface 11d.
[0027] The light-shielding portion 14 has a thickness of, for example, 0.02 mm or less, preferably 5 μm or more and 10 μm or less. The light-shielding portion 14 may be formed continuously or intermittently across the entire end surface 11d of the intermediate member 11 from the first surface 11a to the second surface 11b of the intermediate member 11. In this embodiment, the light-shielding portion 14 is formed continuously across the entire end surface 11d of the intermediate member 11 from the first surface 11a to the second surface 11b in the thickness direction (see arrow Z in FIG. 2). The light-shielding portion 14 is formed from a resin containing, for example, carbon black, iron black, or other black pigment. The resin may be, for example, a phenolic resin, a polyester resin, an acrylic resin, or a urethane resin.
[0028] Next, the configuration of the skin member 12 will be described with reference to Fig. 3. Fig. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a portion of the skin member 12 corresponding to the switch region 2. As shown in Fig. 3, the skin member 12 includes a skin layer 121, a light-transmitting layer 122, and a light-shielding layer 123.
[0029] The skin layer 121 is in a sheet form and has a design surface 121a that forms the design of the skin member 12 and, by extension, the interior member 1. The skin layer 121 has a first thickness t1 (in the direction of arrow Z in FIG. 3 ) that is 0.2 mm or more and 1.0 mm or less, and in this embodiment, the first thickness t1 is 0.4 mm.
[0030] The design surface 121a of the skin layer 121 includes an uneven shape 121c having convex and concave portions in the thickness direction (arrow Z direction in FIG. 3 ). The uneven shape 121c is, for example, a so-called grain that resembles a fine, irregular wrinkle pattern. The uneven shape 121c may also be a regularly repeated pattern formed by unevenness, or a predetermined pattern formed by unevenness. The size of the uneven shape 121c in the thickness direction (arrow Z direction in FIG. 3 ), i.e., the distance h between the top p1 and bottom p2 of the uneven shape 121c in the third direction Z, is 0.2 mm (200 μm) or more. This allows the uneven shape 121c to impart a texture simulating leather to the design surface of the skin member 12 and, by extension, the interior component 1. As a result, the interior component 1 can have improved design and texture.
[0031] The surface layer 121 is formed from a translucent resin sheet material. The resin forming the sheet material can be, for example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Alternatively, the surface layer 121 may be formed from a polyurethane resin (PU) sheet material. The surface layer 121 of this embodiment is formed from a polyvinyl chloride resin sheet colored in a desired color.
[0032] The light-transmitting layer 122 is provided on the back surface 121b opposite the design surface 121a of the skin layer 121. The light-transmitting layer 122 is in a sheet shape having a first surface 122a facing the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121 and a second surface 122b opposite the first surface 122a. A second thickness t2, which is the thickness of the light-transmitting layer 122 (in the direction of arrow Z in FIG. 3 ), is 0.1 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less, and in this embodiment, the second thickness t2 is 0.3 mm.
[0033] The first surface 122a of the light-transmitting layer 122 is adhered to the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121. In this embodiment, the first surface 122a of the light-transmitting layer 122 is adhered to the skin layer 121 by thermal welding, but this is not limiting and the light-transmitting layer 122 may be adhered to the skin layer 121 by an adhesive.
[0034] The second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122 is flatter than the back surface 121b, which has the uneven shape 121c, of the skin layer 121. In this embodiment, the second surface 122b includes convex and concave portions in the thickness direction (the direction of the arrow Z in FIG. 2 ). However, the size in the thickness direction (i.e., the distance between the convex and concave portions) is 0.06 mm (60 μm) or less, which is sufficiently smaller than the uneven shape 121c of the skin layer 121 and is flat.
[0035] The light-transmitting layer 122 is formed from a resin sheet material having the same light-transmitting properties as the skin layer 121. The resin forming the sheet material may be the same as that of the skin layer 121, and for example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) may be selected. However, the skin layer 121 may also be formed from a polyurethane resin (PU) sheet material. The light-transmitting layer 122 of this embodiment is formed from a transparent polyvinyl chloride resin sheet.
[0036] The light-transmitting layer 122 may be colored in a desired color (e.g., red, blue, yellow, or green). This allows the design that appears on the design surface 121a of the skin layer 121 through the light-transmitting layer 122 to be colored. The light-transmitting layer 122 may be partially colored or may have different colors in multiple locations. This allows the color of the design that appears on the design surface 121a of the skin layer 121 to be changed without changing the color of the light source 20 (see FIG. 1 ).
[0037] Fig. 4(a) is an image of the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121. Fig. 4(b) is an image of the second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122. As shown in Fig. 4(a), the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121 of this embodiment has the same degree of unevenness as the uneven surface 121c formed on the design surface 121a, reflecting the shape of the uneven surface 121c. On the other hand, as shown in Fig. 4(b), the second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122 of this embodiment has a mirror-finished, flat surface shape, although it has minute unevenness.
[0038] Returning to FIG. 3 , the light-shielding layer 123 has a light-transmitting window 123a that transmits light. In the above-described switch region 2, the light-transmitting window 123a corresponds to the light-transmitting portion 2b, and the light-shielding layer 123 corresponds to the light-shielding portion 2a. The light-transmitting window 123a may simply be a hole formed in the light-shielding layer 123, or a hole formed in the light-shielding layer 123 may be filled with a light-transmitting material. The light-shielding layer 123 transmits light through the light-transmitting window 123a, while blocking light in areas other than the light-transmitting window 123a. As a result, light that passes through the light-transmitting window 123a passes through the light-transmitting layer 122 and the skin layer 121. Light that is shaped according to the light-transmitting window 123a emerges on the design surface 121a of the skin layer 121. As a result, the area where light emerges on the design surface 121a becomes the light-transmitting portion 2b.
[0039] The light-shielding layer 123 is made of a resin containing, for example, carbon black, iron black, or other black pigments. The resin can be selected from, for example, phenol resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin, and urethane resin.
[0040] The light-shielding layer 123 has a thickness approximately equal to that of the light-shielding portion 14. Specifically, the third thickness t3, which is the thickness of the light-shielding layer 123 (in the direction of the arrow Z in FIG. 3 ), is, for example, 0.02 mm or less, and preferably 5 μm or more and 10 μm or less.
[0041] Next, another embodiment of the skin member 12 will be described with reference to Fig. 5. Below, configurations different from those of the first embodiment will be described, and overlapping descriptions will be omitted. As shown in Fig. 5, the skin member 212 of this embodiment further includes a base fabric 124.
[0042] The base fabric 124 is disposed between the surface layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122 in the thickness direction (the direction of the arrow Z in FIG. 5 ). The base fabric 124 is adhered to the back surface 121 b of the surface layer 121, and is heat-welded to the light-transmitting layer 122 together with the surface layer 121.
[0043] The base fabric 124 is translucent and made of a fibrous material that is less stretchable (less likely to deform) than the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122. The fibrous material is, for example, a synthetic fiber made of resin. In particular, the base fabric 124 is preferably made of a material that is less susceptible to thermal deformation than the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122. For example, when the skin layer 121 is thermally welded to the light-transmitting layer 122, the base fabric 124 integrated with the skin layer 121 maintains its shape despite deformation of the skin layer 121, thereby suppressing deformation of the skin layer 121. Furthermore, when the skin member 12 is exposed to heat in a usage environment, the base fabric 124 can maintain its shape between the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122 despite deformation of the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122. This allows the base fabric 124 to suppress thermal deformation of the skin member 12.
[0044] The fourth thickness t4 of the base fabric 124 (in the direction of the arrow Z in FIG. 5 ) is, for example, 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm, so that the base fabric 124 can suppress deformation of the skin member 12 without affecting the tactile feel provided by the design surface 121 a of the skin layer 121.
[0045] As shown in FIGS. 6( a) and 6(b), the skin layer 121 of the skin member 12 has an uneven surface 121c formed thereon to improve the feel and texture. The uneven surface 121c is formed on the design surface 121a of the skin layer 121, but uneven surface 121b may also appear on the back surface 121b. For example, when the uneven surface 121c is formed on the design surface 121a by heat pressing, uneven surface 121b may also appear on the back surface 121b. In particular, when the first thickness t1 of the skin layer 121 is reduced to improve the light transmittance of the skin layer 121, uneven surface 121b is likely to appear on the back surface 121b. In the skin member 12 shown in FIG. 6(a), a first region S1 that is convex downward (in the direction opposite to the arrow Z in FIG. 6(a)) and a second region S2 that is concave relative to the first region S1 are formed on the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121. When attempting to provide a light-shielding layer 123 on the back surface 121b of such a skin layer 121, the light-shielding layer 123 is laminated on the skin layer 121 in the first region S1. However, in the second region S2, the light-shielding layer 123 may be thinner than in the first region S1, or may not be laminated sufficiently. For example, in pad printing using ink, the ink for the light-shielding layer 123 may be formed on another substrate (e.g., a silicon transfer body) and then transferred from that other substrate to the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121. As a result, the light-shielding layer 123 may be provided on the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121. In such a case, the other substrate may contact the first region S1 but have difficulty contacting the second region S2, and the light-shielding layer 123 may not be sufficiently transferred to the second region S2. As a result, the light-shielding rate of the light-shielding layer 123 may be reduced. A decrease in the light blocking rate of the light blocking layer 123 makes the design obscured by the light that is projected onto the design surface 121a through the light-transmitting window 123a.
[0046] As shown in Fig. 6(b) , the skin member 12 of the present disclosure has a light-transmitting layer 122 laminated on the back surface 121b of the skin layer 121. Furthermore, the second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122 is flat. This allows the light-blocking layer 123 to be laminated evenly across the entire second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122. Because the light-blocking layer 123 has a sufficient thickness to cover the second region S2, a decrease in the light-blocking rate of the light-blocking layer 123 can be prevented. As a result, the design that appears on the design surface a of the skin layer 121 becomes clear, improving the design of the interior member 1.
[0047] Next, a manufacturing method for the skin member 12 and the interior member 1 will be described using FIG. 7 . As shown in FIG. 7( a), first, a laminate 21 and a base material 13 are prepared. The laminate 21 is an intermediate product obtained by laminating the skin layer 121, the light-transmitting layer 122, and the intermediate member 11 of the skin member 12. The skin layer 121, which has a desired unevenness 121c formed on its design surface 121a, is welded to the light-transmitting layer 122. The intermediate member 11 is then bonded to the light-transmitting layer 122 to form the laminate 21. A base fabric 124 (see FIG. 5) may be bonded between the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122. A second opening 13c is formed in the base material 13. Meanwhile, the first opening 11c (see FIG. 2) is not yet formed in the intermediate member 11 at this stage.
[0048] Next, as shown in FIG. 7B , the laminate 21 is fixed to the first surface 13a of the substrate 13 so as to cover the second opening 13c of the substrate 13 and so that the intermediate member 11 faces the substrate 13. The laminate 21 is fixed to the substrate 13, for example, with an adhesive. As a result, a portion of the intermediate member 11 is exposed from the second opening 13c of the substrate 13. Furthermore, the portion of the intermediate member 11 exposed from the second opening 13c is removed. In this embodiment, the intermediate member 11 is removed by a mill 32. Specifically, the mill 32 is inserted into the second opening 13c from the second surface 13b side of the substrate 13. The mill 32 is moved using the second opening 13c of the substrate 13 as a guide to partially remove the intermediate member 11. However, the intermediate member 11 may be removed by other mechanical or chemical methods as well. As a result, a first opening 11c overlapping the second opening 13c is formed in the intermediate member 11.
[0049] In this manner, an intermediate product 25 is prepared as shown in Fig. 7(c). The intermediate product 25 includes the base material 13, the intermediate member 11 disposed on the first surface 13a of the base material 13, and the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122 of the skin member 12 disposed on the first surface 11a of the intermediate member 11. The intermediate member 11 has a first opening 11c. The base material 13 has a second opening 13c overlapping the first opening 11c. The light-transmitting layer 122 of the skin member 12 closes the first opening 11c.
[0050] Next, as shown in FIG. 7( d ), a light-shielding material is printed on the intermediate product 25 through the first opening 11 c. This forms the light-shielding layer 123 and the light-shielding portion 14 of the skin member 12. In this embodiment, the light-shielding layer 123 and the light-shielding portion 14 are simultaneously formed using the same material. The printing method can be, for example, pad printing, silkscreen printing, or inkjet printing. The light-shielding material may be ink containing a black pigment, resin, solvent, or other suitable liquid. In this manner, the skin member 12 and, ultimately, the interior member 1 (see FIG. 2 ) are formed.
[0051] As described above, the skin member 12 and the interior member 1 according to this embodiment can achieve the following effects.
[0052] The skin member 12 includes a skin layer 121 having a design surface 121a including an uneven shape 121c, a light-transmitting layer 122 that is provided on the side of the skin layer 121 opposite the design surface 121a and has light-transmitting properties, and a light-shielding layer 123 that is provided on the side of the light-transmitting layer 122 opposite the skin layer 121, and the surface (second surface 122b) of the light-transmitting layer 122 on which the light-shielding layer 123 is provided is flat.
[0053] In this skin member 12, the light-shielding layer 123 is evenly layered over the entire second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122. The light-shielding layer 123 has a sufficient thickness to cover the second region S2, preventing a decrease in the light-shielding rate of the light-shielding layer 123. As a result, the design that appears on the design surface a of the skin layer 121 becomes clearer, improving the design.
[0054] The thickness (second thickness t2) of the skin layer 121 may be 1.0 mm or less, which allows the skin layer 121 to have a large uneven shape 121c in the thickness direction (direction of arrow Z) while maintaining the light transmittance of the skin layer 121, thereby improving the design of the skin member 12.
[0055] Furthermore, the light-transmitting layer 122 may be colored, which allows the color of the design that appears on the design surface 121 a of the skin layer 121 to be changed without changing the color of the light source 20 .
[0056] The skin member 12 may further include a base fabric 124 disposed between the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122. This can suppress deformation of the skin layer 121 and the light-transmitting layer 122, and therefore of the skin member 12.
[0057] The interior member 1 includes an intermediate member 11 having cushioning properties and a first opening 11c, a skin member 12 arranged on a first surface 11a of the intermediate member 11, and a light-blocking base material 13 arranged on a second surface 11b opposite the first surface 11a of the intermediate member 11 and having a second opening 13c overlapping the first opening 11c. The skin member 12 includes a skin layer 121 having a design surface 121a including an uneven shape 12c, a light-transmitting layer 122 arranged on the side of the skin layer 121 opposite the design surface 121a, and a light-shielding layer 123 arranged on the side of the light-transmitting layer 122 opposite the skin layer 121, and the surface (second surface 122b) on which the light-shielding layer 123 is arranged is flat.
[0058] According to this interior member 1, the light-blocking layer 123 of the skin member 12 is evenly laminated over the entire second surface 122b of the light-transmitting layer 122. This makes the light-blocking rate of the light-blocking layer 123 uniform and prevents unintended light leakage. As a result, the design that appears on the design surface a of the skin layer 121 becomes clearer, improving the design.
[0059] Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiments, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the gist of the invention. In particular, the multiple modifications described in this specification can be combined as needed.
