Description

Electric bed combined with sofa

[0001] The present invention relates to a bed that doubles as a sofa, and more specifically, to an electric bed that doubles as a sofa in which two mattresses are moved by an electric motor so that when they are placed flat, they can be used as a bed, and when they are placed in an 'L' shape, they can be used as a sofa.

[0002] Generally, most households are equipped with beds and sofas. Since these items occupy a considerable amount of space, they encroach upon a significant portion of the living area. Consequently, activities other than sleeping cannot be expected in a space where a bed is installed, and sleeping activities cannot be expected in a space where a sofa is installed. In other words, because sofas and beds each require a large amount of space and have limited functions, their utilization is fragmentary. Furthermore, the purchase cost of each is not insignificant, and installation is not easy in small living spaces, which has prevented their widespread adoption and utilization.

[0003] To address these issues, sofa beds with various structures and forms are being developed; however, most are manual types that require the user to fold or unfold them manually, which is inconvenient to use.

[0004] The present invention aims to provide an electric sofa bed in which two mattresses can be unfolded or folded electrically, used as a bed when unfolded and as a sofa when folded.

[0005] An electric sofa bed according to the present invention comprises: a head frame portion including a flat support portion formed by a curved surface and connected to the lower end of an upright guide portion, a head frame portion having a plurality of guide portions and support portions arranged in the longitudinal direction and a connecting portion fixed by connecting the support portions, and a first leg and an intermediate leg each fixed downwardly at both ends of the support portion in the width direction; a first mattress portion including a first frame placed on the support portion and moving, a first mattress fixed on the first frame, and a mattress wheel mounted to move along the guide portion of the first frame; It may comprise a second mattress section including a second frame adjacent to a first frame, with a portion of which rests on a support, a second mattress fixed on the second frame, and a second leg positioned on the opposite side of the middle leg in the second frame, arranged in the longitudinal direction, and having wheels mounted on the lower end; and a power source, a drive shaft operated by the power source, a driven shaft with one end fixed to a support and the other end inserted into or withdrawn from the drive shaft, a first fixing member fixed to the first frame, a second fixing member fixed to the drive shaft, and a link member installed by connecting the first fixing member and the second fixing member.

[0006] Accordingly, the drive shaft moves forward to the left along the driven shaft by the power source, and the first frame moves along the support and guide sections to be erected, and the second frame moves together with the first frame and is positioned on the support section so that it can be transformed from a bed into a sofa.

[0007] Additionally, the electric drive means may comprise a cylinder, a rod whose length increases or decreases by the cylinder and whose tip is fixed to a first frame, a first fixing member fixed to the first frame, a second fixing member fixed to the cylinder or rod, and a link member installed by connecting the first fixing member and the second fixing member.

[0008] Additionally, the first mattress portion may further include fixing protrusions mounted on the outermost sides of the first frame in the longitudinal direction. Additionally, the second mattress portion may further include fixing panels that are fixed near the first frame and on the outermost sides of the second frame in the longitudinal direction, and have slots machined into which the fixing protrusions are fitted.

[0009] Therefore, when the first frame moves forward to the left, a gap may be created between the first frame and the second frame while the fixing projection moves along the slot of the fixing panel and is engaged with one end.

[0010] In addition, the electric drive means may further include guide projections and support projections fixed adjacent to each other on the second fixed member.

[0011] Accordingly, one end of the link member is axially rotatably coupled to the first fixing member, a slot is machined so that a guide projection is fitted and movable, and one side edge can be supported by contacting the support member.

[0012] In addition, the link member may be positioned with its lower part tilted obliquely toward the second frame side to match the angle at which the first fixing member and the link member rise when the first frame is fully erected.

[0013] Meanwhile, the head frame portion may further include a support leg positioned between the first support legs in the longitudinal direction and fixed downward from the support portion, with a through groove machined on the upper surface having an open upper surface.

[0014] Accordingly, one end portion of the driven shaft is fixed to the support leg, and the first fixing member and the link member, which rise as the first mattress part is erected, can be positioned by passing through the through groove.

[0015] In addition, the head frame may further include a head wheel installed by connecting the upper parts of the guide sections.

[0016] Additionally, the head frame portion may further include side bars located on the outermost sides in the longitudinal direction, with their lower portions fixed to the support portions. Additionally, the second mattress portion may further include armrest members located on the outermost sides in the longitudinal direction, with their lower portions fixed to the second frame.

[0017] Accordingly, when the first mattress section and the second mattress section move toward the head frame, a portion of the side bar can be inserted into the armrest member.

[0018] More specifically, the side bar may include a vertical bar with its lower portion fixed to a support member, and a horizontal bar with one end fixed to the upper portion of the vertical bar and the other end inserted into an armrest member. Additionally, the armrest member may include a 'Π'-shaped mounting bar with both lower portions fixed to a second frame, and a cushion positioned to surround the second leg portion and the upper portion of the mounting bar.

[0019] Therefore, when the first mattress section and the second mattress section move toward the head frame, the horizontal bar can be inserted into the cushion.

[0020] According to the present invention, a first mattress and a second mattress are arranged flat like a bed, and the first mattress moves forward to the left and stands up to become the backrest of a sofa, and the second mattress moves together to become the seat of a sofa, thereby allowing the bed and sofa to be used together.

[0021] In addition, when changing to a sofa, the first mattress moves first to create a gap with the second mattress, and then the second mattress moves together, thereby minimizing interference with the second mattress when the first mattress is set up, allowing for smooth operation.

[0022] In addition, as the first mattress is almost fully erected, the first fixing panel and the link member rise, thereby minimizing the gap between the first mattress and the second mattress, and allowing the first mattress to be erected closer to a right angle.

[0023] And the lower part of the link member is positioned obliquely toward the second mattress, and the guide projection moves up and down along the slot of the link member, so that the lifting and lowering can be operated smoothly in the section where the first mattress is almost fully erected.

[0037]

[0038] A sofa bed according to a preferred embodiment of the invention may comprise a head frame part (100), a first mattress part (200), a second mattress part (300), and an electric means (400), as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.

[0039] In the following, 'fold,' 'be folded,' and 'be folded' include the meaning that the first mattress part (200) in a lying position is set up vertically or obliquely, and the second mattress part (300) moves to the position of the first mattress part (200). Also, 'unfold,' 'unfold,' and 'be unfolded' include the meaning that the first mattress part (200) in an upright position is laid flat, and the second mattress part (300) returns to its original position from the position of the first mattress part (200). Therefore, the state of the first mattress (210) being folded or unfolded has the same meaning as the state of being set up vertically or obliquely, or being laid flat.

[0040] First, the head frame (100) can be installed to support the first mattress (200) placed on it when the first mattress (200) and the second mattress (300) are unfolded into a bed shape, to guide the movement of the first mattress (200) and the second mattress (300) while they are folded into a sofa shape, and to support the first mattress (200) of the backrest while supporting the second mattress (300) of the seat plate when folded into a sofa shape. To this end, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the head frame (100) may include a head frame (110), a head wheel (120), a side bar (130), a first leg (140), a middle leg (150), and a support leg (160).

[0041] Here, the head frame (110) may include a roughly horizontal support member (111) on which the first mattress member (200) is placed, as shown in FIG. 3, a guide member (112) that is arranged roughly vertically while extending upward from one end of the support member (111), and a connecting member (113) that is fixed by connecting adjacent support members (111). At this time, the support member (111) and the guide member (112) may be arranged in multiple numbers at regular intervals. Accordingly, the head frame (110) may have a roughly 'L' shape in the side view and a shape in which multiple rectangles are consecutive in the plan view. Also, the guide member (112) of the head frame (110) may have a concave guide groove machined on one surface to prevent deviation from the path while guiding the movement of the mattress wheel (230) described later. Also, the angle of the guide member (112) may be arranged at an obtuse angle with respect to the support member (111).

[0042] Additionally, the head wheel (120) can be mounted to rotate axially by connecting the upper portions of the head frames (110). This head wheel (120) can support the first frame (220) when the mattress wheel (230) moves out of the guide portion (112) while the first mattress portion (200) is being erected, thereby ensuring smooth movement of the first mattress portion (200).

[0043] Additionally, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, the side bar (130) may be positioned at the head and leg area of the user in the case of a bed, and may be positioned to be used as armrests at both ends in the case of a sofa. This side bar (130) may include a vertical bar (131) that is fixed and protrudes upward from the first frame (220) near the first leg (140), and a horizontal bar (132) that is fixed to the upper part of the vertical bar (131) and positioned toward the armrest member (340) described later. Thus, when the second mattress (310) moves forward to the left, the horizontal bar (132) can be inserted into the armrest member (340).

[0044] As another example, the side bar (130) may be manufactured in a roughly 'Π' shape, having vertical bars positioned on both sides of the support member (111) in the width direction, namely near the first leg (140) and near the middle leg (150), and a horizontal bar connecting the upper portions of these vertical bars. And when the second mattress (310) moves forward to the left, the upper portion of the vertical bar near the middle leg (150) and the horizontal bar can be inserted into the armrest member (340).

[0045] Additionally, the first leg (140) and the middle leg (150) can be fixed by protruding downward from the support member (111) to the guide member (112) side and the opposite side, respectively. Thus, the head frame (110) can be erected on the floor.

[0046] And the support leg (160) can be fixed to the connecting part (113) while positioned between the first legs (140) in the transverse direction. Also, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the support leg (160) may have one end of the driven shaft (430) fixed and a through groove (161) machined in the upper center. At this time, the driven shaft (430) may be directly fixed to the support leg (160) or the driven shaft (430) may be fixed through a separate member fixed to the side of the support leg (160). Accordingly, when the first mattress part (200) is folded, the first fixing member (440) and the second fixing member (460) can pass through the through groove (161) and fold smoothly.

[0047] Next, the first mattress part (200) may be a part that serves as a backrest when transformed from a bed into a sofa. This first mattress part (200) may include a soft first mattress (210), a first frame (220) fixed to the lower part of the first mattress (210), a mattress wheel (230) mounted on one end of the first frame (220) on the guide part (112) side, and a fixing projection (240) mounted on the side of the first frame (220).

[0048] Here, the first mattress (210) may be a standard mattress. If it is a bed, it may be placed flat with the second mattress (310), and if it is a sofa, it may be placed upright in the backrest position.

[0049] Additionally, as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 9, the first frame (220) can be fixed to the lower part of the first mattress (210) in a shape of a plurality of continuous rectangles. Also, when the first mattress (210) is erected, a concave guide groove may be machined on a part of the first frame (220) that contacts the head wheel (120) to prevent the head wheel (120) from deviating from its path on the surface that contacts the head wheel (120).

[0050] Additionally, as shown in FIG. 3, the mattress wheel (230) can be mounted on the end of a portion of the first frame (220) that is aligned with the guide portion (112). Thus, the mattress wheel (230) can move along the guide portion (112) while the first frame (220) is folded.

[0051] And as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the fixing protrusions (240) are each mounted so as to protrude outwardly from the first frame (220) near the middle leg (150), and in detail, one can be mounted on the visible front side and one on the invisible rear side based on the longitudinal direction in FIG. 3. These fixing protrusions (240) can be installed to move along the slot of the fixing panel (330) fixed to the second frame (320). Accordingly, when the first frame (220) and the second frame (320) are flat as in FIG. 4, the fixing protrusions (240) are located to the right of the slot of the fixing panel (330) in the drawing, and when the first frame (220) starts to move as in FIG. 6, they can move to the left along the slot of the fixing panel (330) and get caught. Afterwards, when the first frame (220) moves further, the fixing projection (240) can pull the second frame (320) through the fixing panel (330). At this time, the distance the fixing projection (240) moves along the slot of the fixing panel (330) may be such that it does not interfere with the second mattress (310) when the first mattress (210) is erected as in FIG. 8.

[0052] Next, the second mattress part (300) may be a part corresponding to the seat plate when the bed is transformed into a sofa. This second mattress part (300) may include a soft second mattress (310), a second frame (320) fixed to the lower part of the second mattress (310), a fixed panel (330), an armrest member (340) mounted on the second frame (320), and a second leg (350) fixed downward on the second frame (320).

[0053] Here, the second mattress (310) may be a standard mattress. In the case of a bed, it is placed flat with the first mattress (210), and in the case of a sofa, it can be pulled over the support (111) of the head frame (110) and placed in the position of a seat.

[0054] Additionally, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the second frame (320) can be fixed to the lower part of the second mattress (310) in the shape of a plurality of continuous rectangles. As shown in FIG. 2, this second frame (320) is placed on the intermediate leg (150), which may be so as to be supported by the intermediate leg (150) and the second leg (350).

[0055] Additionally, the fixed panel (330) has a panel shape with a long slot processed into it, and a portion of it is fixed to the second frame (320) near the intermediate leg (150), while the other portion is positioned without being fixed to the first frame (220) side, and can be installed so that a fixing projection (240) is engaged in the slot. As shown in FIG. 3, this fixed panel (330) can be installed with one visible front and one invisible rear based on the longitudinal direction. Therefore, when the first frame (220) moves to be transformed into a sofa, the fixing projection (240) first moves along the slot of the fixed panel (330) and gets caught, and secondly, as the fixing projection (240) moves further, it pulls the second frame (320) through the fixed panel (330) so that it can move together with the first frame (220).

[0056] Additionally, the armrest member (340) is a part where the user rests their arm in the case of a sofa, and can be made of a cushion material. The armrest member (340) may include a mounting bar (341) with a shape of approximately 'П' on the second frame (320), and a cushion (342) arranged to wrap around the right and upper parts of the mounting bar (341). Thus, when the second mattress (310) moves forward to the left, the horizontal bar (132) of the side bar (130) can be inserted as shown in FIG. 7.

[0057] Additionally, the second leg (350) is fixed downward to the second frame (320) on the opposite side of the middle leg (150) and can support the second mattress (310) together with the middle leg. The second leg (350) may be equipped with a wheel (351) mounted to avoid interference with the floor while the second mattress (310) moves over the support member (111) together with the first mattress (210).

[0058] Finally, the electric motor (400) can be installed so that the second mattress (300) moves together with the first mattress (200) while pushing the first mattress (200) up against the head frame (100). To this end, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the electric motor (400) may include a power source (410), a drive shaft (420), a driven shaft (430), a first fixing member (440), a link member (450), a second fixing member (460), a guide projection (470), and a support projection (480).

[0059] Here, the power source (410) can be mounted on the right end portion of the drive shaft (420), as shown in FIG. 2. This power source (410) may be a motor installed to rotate the drive shaft (420) and move it to the driven shaft (430). In this case, the power source (410) may be a motor.

[0060] Additionally, the drive shaft (420) can be installed to move along the driven shaft (430) by allowing the fixed driven shaft (430) to be inserted while rotating by the power source (410). This drive shaft (420) can be fixed to the first frame (220) by a linkage between the second fixing member (460) and the first fixing member (440) coupled to the left end portion of the driven shaft (430). A detailed explanation of this linkage will be provided later.

[0061] Additionally, the driven shaft (430) may be installed such that its left end portion is fixed to the first frame (110) and its right end portion is inserted into or withdrawn from the drive shaft (420). For example, the driven shaft (430) may be directly fixed to the connecting portion (113) or the supporting leg (160), or fixed to separate fixing members protruding from the side of the connecting portion (113) or the supporting leg (160). Thus, since the driven shaft (430) is fixed, the drive shaft (420) and the power source (410) may move along the driven shaft (430) while the first mattress portion (200) and the second mattress (310) are moving.

[0062] Additionally, the first fixing member (440) can be fixed to the lower surface of the first frame (220), as shown in FIG. 4.

[0063] Additionally, the link member (450) is a panel with a slot machined into it, and its upper portion can be fixed to the first fixing member (440) to rotate axially. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, the lower portion of the link member (450) is positioned obliquely toward the second mattress portion (300) and can be supported by a support projection (480). The oblique angle of the link member (450) is maintained even when the bed is transformed into a sofa or from a sofa into a bed, and this may be an angle at which the guide projection (470) can move downward along the slot of the link member (450) along the angle at which the first fixing member (440) rises when the first frame (220) is almost fully erected.

[0064] Additionally, the guide projection (470) can be fixed so as to be inserted into and coupled with the slot of the link member (450). In the case of a bed where the first frame (220) and the second frame (320) are positioned flat as in FIG. 4, this guide projection (470) can be positioned above the slot of the link member (450). Subsequently, when the power source (410) is operated to transform into a sofa and the drive shaft (420) advances to the left so that the driven shaft (430) is inserted, the first frame (220) can also advance to the left by the second fixing member (460), the support projection (480), the guide projection (470), the link member (450), and the first fixing member (440). At this time, as shown in FIG. 6, the fixing projection (240) moves to the left along the slot of the fixing panel (330), and as a result, the first frame (220) and the second frame (320) move apart, creating a gap. This gap between the first frame (220) and the second frame (320) may be the gap required when the first frame (220) is erected as shown in FIG. 8. Subsequently, as the first frame (220) moves, the fixing projection (240) catches on the left side of the slot of the fixing panel (330), and the second frame (320) can be advanced to the left through the fixing panel (330). Afterwards, when the first frame (220) is erected and movement is stopped as in FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, the position of the first fixing member (440) becomes higher than when it is a bed as in FIG. 10, and as a result, the guide projection (470) rises and can be caught on the bottom of the slot of the link member (450). At this time, the position of the first frame (220) can be supported by the fixing projection (240) and the fixing panel (330).

[0065] Conversely, when the sofa of FIG. 8 is transformed into the bed of FIG. 2, the power source (410) is operated so that the driven shaft (430) is pulled out and the driving shaft (420) moves backward to the right, and the first frame (220) is laid down and the link member (450) comes down so that the guide projection (470) can be caught on the top of the slot. At this time, the first mattress (210) pushes the second mattress (310), and the fixing projection (240) can move to the right of the slot of the fixing panel (330). In this state, if the drive shaft (420) continues to move backward to the right, the first frame (220) moves backward to the right together with the second fixed projection (240), support projection (480), guide projection (470), link member (450), and first fixed member (440) by pushing the second frame (320), and the first frame (220) and the second frame (320) can become flat.

[0066] And the support projection (480) can be installed to support the lower outer edge of the link member (450) that is inclined as in FIG. 4. Here, as in FIG. 8 and FIG. 10, when the first frame (220) is fully erected and the first fixing member (440) rises, the support projection (480) can be positioned away from the bottom of the link member (450). Otherwise, the support projection (480) can always contact and support the lower edge of the link member (450) to maintain the oblique angle of the link member (450), thereby allowing the power of the drive shaft (420) to be transmitted to the first frame (220). At this time, the link member (450) can receive movement force through the guide projection (470) while being supported at the point of axial rotation with the first fixing member (440) and at the point of contact with the support projection (480), and then transmit it back to the first frame (220).

[0067] Meanwhile, the electric power means (400) may be manufactured in a structure where the power source (410) is a cylinder, and the drive shaft (420) and driven shaft (430) are rods. In this case, the second fixing member (460) may be fixed on a part of the cylinder or rod. The remaining components, including the link member (450), guide projection (470), support projection (480), and the first fixing member (440), may be identical.

[0068]

[0069] As explained above, a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains will understand that the present invention may be implemented in other specific forms without altering its technical concept or essential features. Therefore, the embodiments described above should be understood as illustrative in all respects and not restrictive. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims set forth below rather than by the detailed description, and all modifications or variations derived from the meaning and scope of the claims and equivalent concepts should be interpreted as being included within the scope of the present invention.
