The method comprises: during the establishment of an association with a second device, monitoring for paging in a paging occasion (PO) corresponding to the second device, wherein the second device is in a radio resource control (RRC) idle state. In the method of the present disclosure, the first device can monitor for paging for the associated second device, such that the energy consumption of the second device can be effectively reduced.
