Abstract
A communication system according to the present invention includes a first control device and a second control device. The first control device includes: a first communication device control unit that controls the activation of communication devices and generates state information for the communication devices; a first storage device that stores the state information for the communication devices; and a first activation control unit that determines whether or not the first communication device control unit has failed. The second control device includes: a second communication device control unit; a second storage device; and a second activation control unit in which a circuit for activating the second communication device control unit and the second storage device is held in a non-transitory recording medium. When it is determined that the first communication device control unit has failed, the first activation control unit instructs the second activation control unit in cold standby to activate the second communication device control unit and the second storage device, the second activation control unit activates the second communication device control unit and the second storage device, and the second communication device control unit controls activation of the communication devices on the basis of the state information for the communication devices.
