Abstract
Description
1 26223.00750LIGHT PLATE FOR PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOUNDING SYSTEMBACKGROUND
[0001] Drug compounding increasingly uses integrated technologies, such as photographic verification of the ingredients and compounded drugs, as well as the weights and measurements of those ingredients and compounded drugs, to ensure that that drugs are compounded accurately with the correct ingredients, weights, measurements and / or volumes. However, the containers (e.g., vials, syringes, etc.) that the drugs are compounded within can easily roll along surfaces normally used in gravimetric scales, and photographic verification from an image taken inside of a laminar flow hood, biological safety cabinet, and / or glovebox can be difficult due to poor lighting conditions, especially with lighting that is overhead and the corresponding reflections from the medical grade surfaces inside of these laminar flow hoods, biological safety cabinets, and / or gloveboxes. Accordingly, there is a need for improved systems and methods of capturing accurate images of ingredients and compounded drugs for photographic verification of those ingredients, compounded drugs, weights, measurements and / or volumes.BRIEF SUMMARY
