Intelligent set-top box, terminal device, and network connection method

Abstract

Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide an intelligent set-top box, terminal device, and a network connection method. The intelligent set-top box may be provided with a network connection function. The intelligent set-top box may actively send a Bluetooth broadcast, so that a Bluetooth connection is first established between the intelligent set-top box and the terminal device. The terminal device may send currently connected WiFi network information to the intelligent set-top box, and the intelligent set-top box may determine a target network on the basis of the WiFi network and a network connection state of the intelligent set-top box, and feed the target network back to the terminal device, so as to ensure that both the intelligent set-top box and the terminal device are connected to the target network. The intelligent set-top box may send an IP address to the terminal device, and the terminal device sends an IP access request to the intelligent set-top box, so that a network connection can be established between the two devices. In the whole process, a network connection can be actively established between the two devices, and a user does not need to carry out tedious operations such as password or information input, thereby improving user experience.
