Accelerating the reaction of self-oxidizing dyes by means of organic c 1-c 6-alkoxysilanes and / or c 1-c 6-alkoxysiloxanes

The use of silicon-containing organic compounds in a low-water solvent-based system accelerates the oxidative coupling reaction of self-oxidizing dyes on keratin fibers, addressing slow color development in atmospheric oxygen-based dyeing processes, achieving immediate and intense color results.

AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing oxidative dyeing processes using atmospheric oxygen as the oxidizing agent for keratin fibers, such as human hair, suffer from slow color development, requiring multiple applications to achieve the desired dark shade, which is inconvenient for users seeking immediate and intense color results.

Method used

A method involving the application of a first composition containing self-oxidizing dye precursors and a second composition comprising silicon-containing organic compounds, such as Ci-Ce alkoxysilanes and/or Ci-Ce alkoxysiloxanes, in a low-water solvent-based system, accelerates the oxidative coupling reaction without using peroxo compounds.

🎯Benefits of technology

The method enables rapid and complete color development on keratin fibers, achieving the desired intense color shade after a single application, with the silicon-containing compounds intensifying the dye formation and reducing the need for multiple applications.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for dyeing keratin fibers, in particular human hair, involving the use of: - a first composition (A) which contains (a1) one or more oxidation dye precursors from the group of specific self-oxidizing dyes and - a second composition (B) which contains (b1) at least one silicon-containing organic compound from the group of C1-C6-alkoxysilanes, C1-C6-alkoxysiloxanes, and / or the hydrolysis and / or condensation products thereof, (b2) at least one solvent other than water, and (b3) less than 10 wt.% water, with the proviso that no composition containing one or more peroxo compounds is applied to the keratin fibers during the method.
