Abstract

This object detection device comprises: an allocation processing unit (5) that determines frames for which object detection processing is performed on the entire input image during a first period having a length a plurality of times the frame length, segmented images for each frame that are subject to minimum allocation during the first period, and segmented images for each frame that are subject to additional allocation during the first period; a combining processing unit (8) that combines an object detection result from an overall processing unit (3) and an object detection result from a segmentation processing unit (4); and a period determination processing unit (9) that determines the length of a second period, which is a multiple of the first period. The allocation processing unit (5) performs a minimum allocation that ensures that the object detection processing is performed on each segmented image at least once during the second period.
