AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing vehicle headlamps lack efficient mechanisms for easily adjusting the orientation of light emission relative to the vehicle in the left-right direction during acceleration, deceleration, and changes in driving states, leading to inaccuracies in light direction adjustment.

Method used

A control device and program that utilize sensors to measure vehicle acceleration and driving states, controlling an actuator to adjust the orientation of the lighting unit based on signals from a lighting sensor and driving state detection device, particularly during acceleration and deceleration in a straight-line state, while accounting for vehicle stability and road conditions.

🎯Benefits of technology

Enhances the accuracy and ease of adjusting the lateral direction of light relative to the vehicle, improving precision by minimizing the influence of vehicle vibrations and ensuring accurate light direction changes during various driving conditions.

Abstract

A control device (30) changes the orientation thereof as the orientation of a lighting unit (15) in the left-right direction changes, receives inputs of a signal from a lighting sensor (50) capable of measuring acceleration in the front-rear direction and the left-right direction of a vehicle (100), and a signal from a travel state detection device (120) capable of measuring whether the vehicle (100) is accelerating or decelerating in a straight-advancing state, and controls an actuator (20) such that the orientation of the lighting unit (15) in the left-right direction changes, on the basis of a signal from the lighting sensor (50) in at least one of an acceleration period in which the vehicle (100) is accelerating in the straight-advancing state and a deceleration period in which the vehicle (100) is decelerating in the straight-advancing state.
