Abstract

A battery cell according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: an electrode assembly in which electrodes and separators are alternately interposed; an exterior member having an accommodation part in which the electrode assembly is accommodated; and a supporter for supporting the accommodation part from the inner side. The supporter can comprise: a pair of contact parts that are in contact with opposing inner surfaces of the exterior member, each of the contact parts at least partially overlapping an edge part of the electrode assembly in the thickness direction of the electrode assembly; and a support part which connects the pair of contact parts, and which is spaced a predetermined interval apart from the circumference of the electrode assembly such that a pocket is defined between the electrode assembly and the support part.
