Abstract

Disclosed are a wearable apparatus capable of automatically identifying a motor control program and an operating method thereof. The wearable apparatus may comprise: a motor that generates torque; a torque transmission frame for transmitting the generated torque to a leg of a user wearing the wearable apparatus; and a microcontroller unit. The microcontroller unit may comprise: a memory storing a plurality of motor control programs used for driving the motor; and a processor that controls the motor on the basis of the target motor control program selected from among the plurality of motor control programs. The processor may identify the electrical quantity measured at one or more specific input ports of the microcontroller unit, and select the target motor control program from among the plurality of motor control programs on the basis of the identified electrical quantity.
