Abstract

Disclosed is an artificial intelligence device for providing an on-demand service. The artificial intelligence device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise: an output interface; a memory storing a lightweight on-device AI model; a communication interface for communicating with an AI server including a cloud AI model driven in a cloud computing environment; and one or more processors that acquire input data, determine, on the basis of the modality or complexity of the acquired input data, an AI model for providing an answer to the input data from among the on-device AI model and the cloud AI model, acquire the answer through the determined AI model, and output the acquired answer through the output interface.
