Testing techniques for medication delivery devices

Abstract

A system for testing a medication delivery device is provided. In some embodiments, the system comprises: an imaging device configured to capture images of at least a portion of a needle of the medication delivery device; a balance configured to generate data indicative of a weight of a medication dispensed over time; and one or more processors configured to: obtain, from the imaging device, the images captured by the imaging device; obtain, from the balance, the data indicative of the weight of the medication dispensed over time; and determine performance metrics based on the images and the weight of the medication dispensed by the medication delivery device over time, the performance metrics comprising at least one of (i) an extended needle length of the needle of the medication delivery device and (ii) an injection time associated with the dispensing of the medication by the medication delivery device.
