Communication method and related apparatus

Abstract

The present application provides a communication method and a related apparatus, applied to the technical field of communications. In embodiments of the present application, taking a first communication apparatus as a terminal device and a second communication apparatus as a network device as an example, in a cross-cell retransmission scenario, compared with the approach in some solutions of transmitting the entire retransmitted data directly by means of a retransmission cell, this solution enables the network device to send retransmitted data by means of different cells, thereby allowing for flexible utilization of network resources. When multiple time units of a second cell are used to send first retransmitted data, the transmission quality of the retransmitted data can be improved. K time units are used to send the first retransmitted data (accordingly, the terminal device receives the first retransmitted data), improving the transmission quality of the retransmitted data. In addition, in this solution, the network device schedules, by means of a single DCI, the first retransmitted data for transmission, achieving effective transmission of the retransmitted data with relatively low DCI overhead.
