Abstract

Provided is a novel crystallization method for epirubicin hydrochloride. Provided is a production method for crystals of epirubicin hydrochloride that includes (a) a step for obtaining a mixture that includes epirubicin hydrochloride, two alcohols, and water and (b) a step for adding an ether to the mixture obtained at step (a) and crystallizing the epirubicin hydrochloride. Also provided are novel crystals of epirubicin hydrochloride.
