Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and discloses a random access method, an apparatus, a terminal, a network side device, and a storage medium. The random access method in embodiments of the present application comprises: a terminal receives first information from a network side device, the first information being used for indicating physical random access channel configurations applicable to terminals having different terminal characteristics; the terminal determines a physical random access channel resource on the basis of the first information and the terminal characteristics of the terminals; and the terminal sends a random access channel on the basis of the physical random access channel resource.
