A telescopic boom for work and a painting apparatus having same are disclosed. An extendable telescopic boom for work including a plurality of boom sections according to an embodiment of the present invention has a structure in which any one boom section may be accommodated in a boom section at a front end and may accommodate a boom section at a rear end, and each of the boom sections has a shape in which an upper surface and left and right surfaces are closed and a lower surface is opened.
